I am in love with their new appetizers, chicken wings with a delicious sauce on a sizzling plate with onions so delicious and their new item fries with a delicious sauce with a side of chutney. Omg yum, I think this is my new favorite Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Service is fantastic and space is clean, spacious, and quiet enough to have a conversation. We ordered a rose, appetizer platter, paneer saagwala, lamb biryani, and a paratha. Everything was so incredibly fresh and the saagwala in particular tasted incredible. The plates look average size, but they're actually really filling because the chef is so generous with the proteins. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and clean as well. Not oily whatsoever. Really loved being able to taste all the spices and ingredients so distinctly. We were blown away. Everyone here is so kind and friendly and the food spectacular. tldr amazing indian/pakistani food in the heart of the mission with standout fusion-y dishes like the paneer tikka masala biryani and samosa chaat one of my Pakistani friend's favorite spots in the city and justifyingly so! We ordered the samosa chaat, paneer tikka masala biryani (secret menu item/delivery menu), and chicken tikka masala! All dishes were amazing and had great flavor. samosa chaat was a fun play on samosa and had a great spicy chutney on top and a great way to kick off the meal chicken tikka masala had some dark meat and lots of sauce that could soak up in the buttery fresh naan paneer tikka masala biryani is definitely the stand out dish as it combines the best of two dishes - biryani and tikka masala! paneer was nicely seared and flavors were decadent and flavorful staff is great there and attentive for the most part! the restaurant is huge and has a lot of tables perhaps why they are considering shutting down but hopefully have the funds to open in a smaller place. wishing them well as the food is great!!! food 5/5 for creativity service 4/5 ambiance 4/5 value 5/5 read more

Some of the best Pakistani/indian food in the bay! The pakoras were my favorite part of the meal. They were breaded lightly, and yet were unbelievably crispy! The chicken and lamb are juicy and full of flavor with an enjoyable level of spice. The biryani is not real dum biryani, but the rice is still flavorful and quite good considering. The servers are attentive and friendly and their interior space is huge. Saucy flavorful heaven. I have found my go-to Indian restaurant. I love their butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, their tandoori chicken wings (juicy!), and their saag aloo. Their regular spice level is probably more of a "medium" so just indicate you want it mild if you are sensitive. We've only gotten food delivered from here but I'm looking forward to visiting in person some day. read more

Aslam's Rasoi has such friendly service and they go above and beyond to take care of you! My family and I came here last week to celebrate a birthday dinner. They were able to accommodate a big party and to add the restaurant is spacious. We ordered a few dishes to share family style and so many different naan breads too. We ordered: Chicken tikka masala Lamb saag gosh Whole chicken tandoori Samosa Lamb vindaloo Chicken karma Lamb biryani Garlic and basil naan, plain naan, goat cheese naan Poori Papadum All the items such as curries we ordered mild due to the young children sharing at the table. All curries had a lot of sauce to dip your naan bread into. I wish they would've added a little more protein to their curries. We had left over curries to bring home too. Naan bread was nice and warm and we had extras. The poori and papadum was a family favorite and the children wanted more. The restaurant also made some spicy sauce on the side for us to try. Thinking it would be spicy and I wouldn't handle it.. it was not spicy at all and it tasted more like a brown stew. We were appreciative that they were able to make us some spicy sauce on the side. Best Indian Food in SF - A must-visit! I've lived in SF/Mission for over 10 years, and Aslam's Rasoi is hands down the best Indian restaurant in the city. Every dish is packed with rich, authentic flavors, and their warm hospitality makes every visit special. It's heartbreaking that they might close or move to a smaller location--SF would lose a true gem. I really hope they stay! My wife and I found this restaurant sort of just wandering by accident. They were really very friendly to us and the food was very good. We love south Asian food and the dal was really special to us. We ordered the samosas, cauliflower pakora, mixed seafood curry, dum aloo vindaloo, paneer tikka korma, pulao, garlic basil naan, and paratha. The samosas and cauliflower pakora were crispy and just the right portion size. Mixed seafood curry contained shrimp and fish of the day, in a mildly spicy curry sauce. Dum aloo vindaloo was especially tasty, and inspired me an interest in recreating this dish at home. Paneer Tikka korma was an interesting combination of two common curries, topped with slivered almonds. I ordered the mango lassi which came out extra creamy and sweet. The garlic basil naan was a little different from usual, with a taste similar to pizza. The paratha was a new item for me and very good. My go-to dish is the saag paneer--it's, without a doubt, the best in the Bay Area. Since I'm not a big fan of spice, I always stick to the mild option. A helpful tip: if you opt for a higher spice level, they enhance it with small pieces of fresh chilies, so keep that in mind. Pair the saag paneer with some garlic naan and a nice glass of wine, and you've got yourself a perfect meal. While it's not a luxurious or extravagant spot, the cozy, homely vibe reminds me of dining in India. This spot has been in the mission for the better part of a few decades as I found out recently and after eating here, I can definitely see why. We got a couple of things which I would highly recommend - 1. Garlic and basic naan -- the naan was fresh and very fluffy 2. The onion kulcha - just like the garlic naan but, it is stuffed with onions, a perfect pair to any curry 3. The chicken tandoor - we got 1/2 of the chicken and it was perfectly seasoned and came on this hot plate which was a great touch 4. The murgh masala - chicken curry which we got at a spice level of 5/5 and it was definitely spicy enough. 5. Mango lassi - it was fresh and tasted like it was made with fresh mangoes 6. The nimbu pani - lemonade elevated with indian spices, definitely some of the best I've had The service here was unparalleled, we felt like we were family from start to finish. The care taken with every table in terms of answering questions and ensuring that everything is good was very apparent. You can tell that they care and strive for the very best. The restaurant is spacious, and while we did not have to wait as we showed up around 8:45 PM, i can imagine it gets extremely busy earlier in the evening. After our meal, the owners asked if we enjoyed everything and if it was spicy enough, further showing that they really strive to go above and beyond. Very good Indian food for the the bay area. Less noisy than your standard SF restaurant. You can actually hear what your dinner date is saying. Fast and friendly service. A lot of vegetarian options, also caters to mild and spicy pallets. The Naan here is above average, we even got another order to go.
