I came back a couple weeks ago to get a new phone and once again, she went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience possible. My new phone took a long time to update and she spent the whole time just chatting with me and really made me feel so incredibly welcome and comfortable. I only shop at this location now solely because of Taryn and her amazing customer service. I had even been considering switching phone carriers at one point due to my job but because of meeting Taryn, I decided to stick with Verizon. Ownership changed to an Authorized Dealer called Crown Wireless and I just got scammed from them with an open box iPhone 12 mini. On Aug 14th Sunday afternoon around 1PM, I paid my visit to this Cricket store thinking it was still a corporate location. To my surprise the store seemed closed. It was dark inside and the open sign was turned off. I thought "this can't be" so I got out of the car and walked up to the door to knock. There were two employees working. I opened the door to ask if the store is open and asked why the open sign wasn't on. Tia who's the assist mgr at the location said it was a mistake and the store is open for business. I wanted to let them know that few customers turned around and left because the open sign wasn't on but I figured that wasn't my business to get involved in so I kept quiet. What's puzzling though is the view from inside the store; the open view of the parking lot is unobstructed and I could see the entire parking lot clearly I knew what I wanted to buy so it was an easy quick sale for Tysean who was the salesperson. The choice came down to either a blue or green iphone 12 mini. Tysean told me green was the last color they had left and it's little bit more unique than the blue so I said "Alright I'll buy the green". Then suddenly I notice something out of ordinary. The blue iphone Tysean was holding had clear factory packaging around the box like normal new iphone packing. But the green one did not have the film around the box and it had an inch sized taped around the phone. So I stopped and asked Tysean and Tia if that phone was an open box. They said no. Tia said it was brand new and that she just took off the film with her nails. (Liar) So after activating the phone I Ieft the store and started driving back home. Then I start noticing more out of ordinary patterns. The phone was dead and couldn't be turned on. Also there was a small dent on the bottom right corner of the phone. I immediately drove back to the store (within 30 minutes) and asked if I can exchange the phone since it clearly was NOT a new one but what do you know, they CAN'T exchange it. I put Tysean on the spot and asked him what he saw from the box as he was activating it. Gracefully Tysean admitted that the green phone did not have any packing films around it to begin with and the phone was dead out of the box so he had to charge it before activating it. That explained the extra waiting time on my first visit but I was touched that there are still people telling the truth. But boy, the assistant manager Tia and Stan (store mgr) DONT GIVE A SH&T about selling customers open box damaged phones and refusing to help. So I tried to take it up the ladder and asked for Crown Wireless Owner's contact information. They said he's on vacation and he doesn't live in Washington. Like it was their excuse to refuse handing out their boss's contact info. They also refused to provide CRICKET CORPORATE OFFICE number. I trusted Tysean and Tia when they reassured me the phone was new and my experience agreed since I've never seen anyone sell an open box iphone as NEW but NOPE. Don't make the same mistake I made folks and avoid getting scammed. Cricket WILL sell you OPEN BOX phones and tell you it's not. Now I have a damaged phone that I paid full price for. Commit the fraud and try to silence is the new business practice with Crown Wireless! Cricket Corporate and Apple should take iphone allocations off from these shady dealers as they don't take their customers seriously. Pathetic!

i have a BIG problem with the staff at your Lakewood store.010417 Gravelly Lake Dr)…read more so my wife went in on Feb 21st to upgrade her phone. she had a Samsun A12 and wanted to Upgrade to the A15. we fell a little short at the time and told the sales associate that we would take another phone AS LONG AS IT HAD MORE MEMORY THAN THE A12. the sales associate assured us the phone she recommends (the Samsung 04) would be the one, being that it had more memory. WE ASKED HER 3 TIMES IF IT ACTUALLY HAD MORE MEMORY AND SHE SAID YES. (we will come back to this point later.) we let them know that this is a TEMPORARY upgrade, being that in 2 weeks we will return and actually get the A15 and whatever phone she gets that day will be (the 04) would be MY upgrade. we would switch everything over and it will be fine. fast forward to yesterday (March 6th) we go in to do the upgrade to my wifes a12 to the a15. we find out the the 04 was NOT an upgrade to the a12,in fact it was a DOWNGRADE. now mind you if we would have known that on the 21st WE WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN IT. IT ON THE INSISTENCE OF THE SALES AGENT THAT WE GOT THE PHONE. so she basically lied to get the sale. so while in store i personally call customer service and let them know what was going on, because at this point i wanted a refund. i will NOT be stuck with a downgraded phone. why should i be? the customer service agent said they will notate my account and the problem will be resolved. cool SO TODAY. i go in the store. and i figured a refund would be needed just take the cost of my items and apply them to my account as a credit so that when i'm actually ready to do my upgrade everything will be there. so the manager was NOT trying to cooperate with me, she REFUSED to give me a refund or apply a credit. the actual sales associate that told my wife to get the phone was there and she wanted to spend 10 minutes arguing with me the manager TOLD ME TO SELL THE 04 ON FACEBOOK!!!! really???? this is how you treat your customers. then they BOTH STARTED SPEAKING SPANISH TO EACH OTHER ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. I am African American, and I found that HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! but I digress.. i called customer service again and the sales associate argued with THEM. so customer service told them to call dealer services, and the associate told them that it would do no good since they only deal with networks and not phones. this was one of the WORST customer experiences i have EVER dealt with. all i want is to NOT be stuck with this phone. the phrase i kept hearing all morning is "upgrades are non-refundable" i get that, but what if the phone is NOT an upgrade?? all a want is a PROPER upgrade, not to be talked down to, treated with some respect and dignity and to have this situation rectified. the fact that the associate lied to get sale is bad enough but the NOBODY wants to fix the situation. it took my wife an hour to talk me out of cutting off the service all together.

Had the store charge the battery twice (each time when I installed a new alternator) and the issue never went away. Asked if they could just replace it since it is still under warranty and the manager told me no because there was not enough charge on the battery. Will not purchase from them again. The battery was good for 2 years though but that is not much for a battery that cost over $400. EDIT: Called customer service as I was asked. They understood the issue and also could not understand how the store thought the battery could be over 10 volts if it is not taking a charge but the owner still refuses to replace. (Tacoma Mall Blvd Location). I will take my business elsewhere. Think twice before buying here.

Where i was coming from at the time I so Happened to be closer to the one in Milton and also called the one downtown Tacoma or one by the TacMall I can't remember now smh but it was so frustrating that everytime I try to start my car, before work after work and when id need to run errands at the store or go get groceries and coming out to a dead ass car is not the best of times but I'd be meaning to check them out after one of my coworkers had mentioned that they even existed esp since I really got no clue when it comes to cars and mechanics & such and guess wasn't much good for me that my dad always had been the one who I'd go to if my brakes went bad "needed changing" or tires were worn out/ popped on me so guess I should've been paying more attention when he was helping with that cuz let me tell ya I dint eve know how to check the pressure of my tire let alone put air in them shut that's bad now that i think about it omggg smdh So anyways i believe his name was Kevin who had said tht he did have a battery to fix perfectly in my car for just $77 (and not $200+tax for brand new like I think Costco's was) so 77bucks out the door for me & now every time I go to my car I'm so relieved it actually just starts up like a normal car like best feeling ever lol And the main reason why I did not want to give 5stars is because when I pulled up, me & my friends had got done eating some Chinese food we had to eat for lunch & so my friend had waxed their plate of food & asked me to throw their ONE to go box in the trash can we had seen right out in front in the garage we were parked right up front of so when I asked our battery guy if that was okay ...(me being polite) he literally said no I wasn't able to throw my trash away & because I guess that so many ppl were like I guess throwing their trash out there but it was literally 1 damn to go box and so I had to bring it back n give my friend to hold onto it till we actually had got to throw when was getting gas smdh *They would probably have got the whole 5 starS if he had just abit better customer service(or whatever it's called) than that that we had got..

I had a dead battery. The technician at budget batteries (BB), cleaned it up an was able to charge…read moreit. He gave me a loaner battery to use while he charged the old one overnight. The next day he installed the old one, now revived. Cost to me $0. He could have easily sold me a new battery for around $147. Thoughtful, staff, friendly and they are there for their customers.
