I only wanted a new phone and an upgrade on my plan but the 55+ sounded too good to be true, and it was. The internet lags, I returned the air hub box so my plan automatically increased even though I was assured it would have the proper speed for the devices I have at home. They put my phone number that I've had for 25 years on an old phone I brought in instead of putting it on the new iphone that I purchased there. They also put the installment plan on the old phone. I'm trying to get rid of one of the phone lines now that the plan costs more because I'm not keeping the internet but they can't disconnect a line with an installment plan on it. They are unable to transfer the installment plan to my new phone. I got an email with my new bill a few days after the purchase. I was told it would be $99 on one bill but I got a $197.65 bill for the two phone lines and a seperate bill for $65 for the internet. Ashly will not help or admit that they made a mistake. She blames me for not "listening" when the agent described the plan. Yam is the agent. He is very nice but made many mistakes-too many more to bore you with. Stay away from this store, the worst AT&T experience ever. I wish I knew I could have fixed my old phone and not bought anything but of course they didn't tell me to just replace the glass :(

Sales associate told me that was only online and in store our phones were worth only $100 of trade in value. I pushed back, showed the fine print online that said nothing about being online only and they still wouldn't do the trade in for me. My mom needed the new phone so she went through with the purchase in store, and we were under the impression we'd get the trade in value as stated earlier. The transaction is over, phones are switched and the sales associate says "ok you can take your old phone we don't need it", so we didn't even get the trade in value from it. Later that same day I'm trying to do the online order for my phone, and I go to a different ATT store just down the road in Wallingford to ask a quick question, tell him what the sales associate told me up the road, and he said your phone has over $800 trade in value, even in store! So he did the upgrade for me right then and there. Feel bad for my mom because she could have saved a lot of money if we just left the store and went to a different store without lying associates.

Not only that, Krystal somehow conned him into opening a NEW line for the phone and told him he'd have to GIVE UP HIS PHONE NUMBER. What the heck? It is disgusting that they would take advantage of an elderly veteran in this way. I had to deal with corporate to get the phone returned and reverse the $200+ in activation fees that were applied to every line on the family plan. To boot, Krystal added an insurance plan to the phone which my father had adamantly said he didn't want. Ridiculous. Worst part of the whole matter was that all his phone needed was a factory reset!

Terrible service. I had to make 3 visits and 4 phone calls to get a very simple issue resolved,…read morewhich was their error in the first place. I only got it resolved over the phone by demanding to speak to a supervisor. The store kept telling me there was nothing they could do and I should just buy a new phone. The resolution? Just use the last four digits of my phone number. SO SIMPLE. They actually informed me that they turned a previous customer away who had the same problem with NO RESOLUTION. At the beginning of my third visit, the person at the door who I believe was the GM, told me very curtly, it would be 30 minutes before I could speak to someone. And what would I like him to do? After all, it was the "busiest day of the year." (Black Friday was yesterday). When he came back over to me, I again let him know I was very annoyed with the entire situation. His response while walking away was, "Yeah we all are, it's the holidays". Why are you at work sir? You're getting cut a pay check to speak to people this way. The best part of this is I'm a corporate Customer Relations Manager by profession. I would never dish this attitude to a client and would have delivered a very serious write up to one of my GMs if they did. Long story short - The people at Verizon were fabulous. Save yourself the aggravation.

No seriously, I'm guessing if your taking the time to read this review then you probably also got scammed by this establishment. Their scam goes as follows: First they make it incredibly easy to sign up for a new contract. So I went in looking to get a new phone in Late August because I had an outdated iPhone 6s that was barely functioning. I was willing to spend the primo dinero and I had one goal in mind. To get a phone that worked. I asked the eager salesperson who's eyes lit up with dollar signs as I told him my interest in another plan. He showed me right to the iPhones saying I have one and they've improved them so much, I love it. He goes on to tell me about how it's better than my current phone in the following ways.... eventually he makes the sale. I leave the store satisfied that I can open apps without having to wait actually 30 seconds. Fast forward to now... My phone has limited reception in places it once worked perfectly. I get on the phone with UI (electric company) after waiting an hour on hold only for the person on the other end to get frustrated about my connection (in downtown new haven mind you) and hang up. Frustrated I called myself from another phone to see if my connection was really the issue; it was, there was no microphone activity at all. I figure, Why should I be paying for a phone that really doesn't work? So I take it to the AT&T store. The one that I'm writing this review about. I go in and he tells me there's absolute nothing they could do. He proceeds to patronize me by telling me if there was an issue with the phone I should have know by the 14 day trial period. He proceeds to count the days from when I bought the phone to the present calendar day IN FRONT OF ME. Eventually I get the point, but it was just straight up rude how he was counting. He then tells me my options with insurance but I still can't get past the fact that he literally counted the days in front of me like I was the biggest bonehead to walk into the store that day. Feeling defeated I told him I wasn't interested in filing with insurance because I got a lemon last time I went thru that. As if to cover his own ass he says "we have no control over the insurance phones it's a different company". I'm thinking, well why am I paying you guys... I leave with my problem completely unresolved Bottom line: this store takes advantage of people and the fact that they don't have any part in the phone business. IMO you're better off just going to Apple if you want an IPhone at least they have some control over the product. AT&T are just sneaky middlemen. ps. Everything they sell in there as phone accessories is about 300% overpriced. Buy literally anywhere else but there.

So - to "reiterate" my review of last September - this is my absolute go to store for all things AT&T. what I love in general about their service people - very very knowledgeable, courteous, highly professional - and they stay with me until a question is fully answered or a problem is solved. Most recently I had Luna work with me - and she was as great - even greater - than those in the past. This young woman has a totally professional demeanor - I really believe it would behoove AT&T to sneak in a "Secret Shopper" camera / microphone and record her as she does her work. That could be used in a training program. All corporate AT&T would have to do is let the tape run for 15 minutes - or even better 30 - and when done all the Trainer would have to say is "and THAT IS HOW ITS DONE!" Thanks Luna!

First time when my S7 died under warranty…read morewasn't great, but didn't realize that they wouldn't update the IMEI on my device installment plan. The second time was trying to resolve this issue when I upgraded because I was supposed to return a phone AT&T had already replaced 9 months earlier. This visit would later set me off on an expletive-filled rant with AT&T customer service about my issue remaining unresolved. One employee in particular was a real piece of work. This guy interjected constantly, first to blame me, then other AT&T reps, but never accepting the terrifying possibility of spending literally 2 minutes to LISTEN to the customer and another 5 minutes to FIX the problem. To that charming employee, know that nobody is impressed that you landed a prestigious gig selling phones, you condescending POS. Not even your mother.
