    Caution, if you visit this Monterey AT&T store, make sure they give you your price and sign it in writing also hold them to the delivery of your direct TV packages. The Manager Alexis Victoria was horrible!! They get you to sign up for one thing then call you to make you go to another increase package by telling you they can't give you what they sold you. I wasn't the only customer having problems there. We contacted a ATT area manager and he helped us. He looked at our account and said it was all wrong.. He discovered things that would have gotten or monthly account over $180 a month . Don't go to this store!!

    I signed up for Verizon 5G Home Internet in San Francisco in 2022. I later attempted to use the…read moreservice here in Monterey in 2023 when I moved here. The service was ineffective in Monterey, so I contacted Verizon to close the account. I made multiple attempts to return the modem after cancellation. I was told I needed a return box but never received one despite repeated requests. I was also never informed I could have returned the equipment via UPS. After continued efforts to return the equipment (including attempting to return it in person at several different stores), I was eventually instructed by a Verizon representative at 1680 Del Monte Center Suite 12G, Monterey, CA 93940 that since the account was closed and there was no further need for the device, I could dispose of the modem as I saw fit. I disposed of it as e-waste. I relied on Verizon's instructions in good faith. I have tried to contest the charges with both Verizon and their collection agency. As recently as last week, I was sent a bill for approximately $220 from a collections agency. This charge is improper because Verizon failed to provide return materials and expressly instructed disposal. I visited the store one last time today to avoid formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the FCC to no avail.

    BEWARE. I processed an online order at this Best Buy on Saturday. It was in stock and would be…read moreready to pick up in 1 hour so I purchased it. The hour goes by as well as the evening and still no notice to pick it up. Fast forward to Sunday after store opens, the status is still "preparing order". I called and spoke to an employee who said the product is coming from another store and will be ready in 4-5 days. I decided to cancel the order and was told they could do that and I could expect a refund in 7-10 days. When I told him I would call my bank to dispute the charge, he quickly said that wouldn't be necessary because they haven't finalized processing the charge ....checking my bank the charge is in pending status on my bank account. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one would call me within 4 days. Based on this experience, I will never shop Best Buy again....online or walk in. I feel this was a bait and switch situation, very dishonest practice and despicable customer service. I know the employee was doing his job and that this was a company level Best Buy issue so I don't (and didn't) fault him for this experience.

My store experience was VERY positive, unfortunately when they handed me off to Apple assistance for the next steps Apple was unable to help it took 45 minutes of chatting and 45 minutes on the phone to realize that they were unable to help me what they said was not consistent with what the website said and unfortunately didn't work. Basically I spend 5 hours including traveling, time in the store and dealing with customer service. Then they said sorry you were given incorrect info and it's not gonna work. What it says online is not correct. I'd love it if they just reached out and helped out it seems like the store and the customer service aren't talking. The store would've had a 5 star rating if it wasn't for being handed off with misleading information. I'd like to emphasize I think the store tried hard, but they handed me off to a process that wasn't able to help and should've known that it was unable to help.
