We showed up within 15 minutes. Michael Hoff, the associate that helped us, informed that the SIM card would be $35. What in the world? Who would pay that? So we actually walked out. Got back to the car and got kinda annoyed. So we went back in. He insisted it was $35. We demanded to talk to the female that answered the phone. Then he questioned us to confirm if we called the correct store. We said "yes. We're local. This is our regular store". He wound up selling it to us for $16. He then told us that we had to call AT&T and activate the SIM card. We go home. Call AT&T. Stay on hold for a long bit. Finally get a hold of some one. She happened to be a corporate manager for AT&T. We explained everything to her and she was appalled to hear of our experience. She explained that this particular store is not a corporate store but it's a franchise. So although they can charge any price - it's frowned upon. She couldn't even find that particular employee (Michael Hoff) in the computer system. She tells us that SIM cards cannot be activated over the phone and it needs to be done in store. So if you want to save yourself some headache- head to the corporate store in New London (I cannot vouch how good/bad the service is at that store either) (Yes this trip was about a year ago. I recently got a custom-built PC from Mercury computers. The experience on the front-end was just…read morefine. Assuming everything worked well, this review would be a very different one. Story to follow. I just recently upgraded my own PC. I wanted to build my friend a PC utilizing my old GPU and so I bought all the other components myself (CPU, Mobo, RAM, SSD). I brought all the parts to Mercury to put together for me, mostly because I'm lazy and also because I feel like I do an awful aesthetic job when it comes to cable management. He sold me on the two parts I was missing, both the PC case and the PSU. I was fine with that. He charged me three or four hours of his time and I was also fine with that. Until the PC was put to use. My friend had all sorts of issues with it in practice. It kept crashing when playing games, variably, within two hours. We troubleshooted it remotely since I'm a computer guy. Eventually, I had to take things into my own hands and received the PC to troubleshoot myself. After 3.5 days of troubleshooting, running stress tests, analyzing crash dump and log files, I find the issue. See the pictures, attached. My findings: The GPU driver was never installed, but instead the default Windows Update driver was installed. None of the BIOS drivers had been installed. This meant that plugging speakers in for sound didn't work either, among other things. I notice some strange readings while gaming on the 12V rails coming out of the PSU going to the GPU, dipping down under 11.4V at times. One of the only components that I didn't supply. The reason for all the crashes? After doing a LOT of software troubleshooting, I decided to open up the case to take a look at the guts. There are two PCIe power ports to the GPU. Mercury Computers plugged both of them in on the same power rail. I was furious.

The other companies wanted to completely redo my ring which was given to me by my parents for my new engagement. So this ring has a lot of sentimental value to it. I was quoted 750 from the first jeweler to have the whole band replaced with new prongs which I was told was mandatory or I wld loss my diamond. I then went to two other jewelers which said the same and quoted me 450 then the last quoted me 350. Me notknowing anything almost went with the 350. Well not needing to rush I waited and looked for a mom and pop jeweler. I then find J and J jewlers and had my very comforting conversation. I go in and spoke to the owners which were a married couple and thier son who was the jeweler about what needed to be done with my ring without changing it too much but keeping my diamond safe. They all look at and said the band was in good condition and all of my prongs were good except ine that was bent. I also needed it sized. They quoted me $40 to have mt ring done. Safe diamond and repaired not redone. They were extremely thorough and friendly. I assumed I would need to leave my rinf for a week or two. The jeweler which was the son said it would be done in 45 min. My jaw dropped in shock. Me being newly engaged I was so excited to have my ring back the very same day. I also had seen a negative review about them switching diamonds out and something about a watch repair. I showed my concern and the son made me feel very safe with them having ny ring. He mapped out my diamond so I wld know it was mine and was not switched. So that review was not helpful in any way and in my eyes seemed very inaccurate and distasteful. He actually apoplized for my concern. My experience was amazing the best by far. I will he back to buy my wrap for my ring and all my sizing and repairs will be done there. To top it off I wasnt sure if I wld make it back in time to get my ring before 6 when they close. The son told me he wld wait for me to get it because I get out at 6 and may be a few minutes later then 6. That was great customer service. And in the end they inly charged me 25 for the sizing because they only had to twist a prong in place. I will be sending people there for repairs and they now have me a loyal customer for such great work. I am a very happy soon to be bride with a safe diamond ring sized just right.
