Left this provider 8 years ago because of cost. We tried for months to return their equipment - we called and were told they would send us a prepaid box to return the equipment, nothing ever came. We tried to return it to the local office - it had been closed down and no one told us. Now, all these years later they sent a door to door salesrep to sell us a new deal. ANd now, the next day, they are demanding we resolve a past due balance from 8 years ago AND return the equipment before they will do business with us. Breezeline is the most expensive and least reliable internet service provider in the entire country. If you select them, you will face almost daily extended internet outages. They are totally unsuitable if you work from home. The bill will also go up EVERY MONTH. read more

I canceled my account in mid-June, 2025 and received instructions over the phone for return of equipment to Groton, CT. When I brought the equipment to Groton, I found a large store in a shopping center, and I was advised the store no longer collected equipment for Breezeline. I was advised to go to Groton, CT to return equipment, and I found a similar setting for a large. electronics store. I was given a receipt for equipment and received no bill for July and August, 2025; I threw the receipt away after 2 months and was shocked to receive a bill on October 1, 2025 for service. After Breezeline finally acknowledged termination it began to charge me for "unreturned equipment". When I got the service almost 2 years ago, the customer service was great. Now it is as bad as comcast which means it is the worst. I have returned equipment over a year ago according to their process but they never took it off my account. I finally caught this when I needed to login and adjust my payment info. It has been 1 month and over 6 hours on the phone over 8 phone calls/chats and they have not corrected their mistake. They have told me 4 times now this would be resolved and I would get a call from a supervisor in less than 48 hours. I have never received a call back and I the problem is not resolved. I started with a local ISP. They took care of their customers. They went out of their way to help. Their office was only minutes away, I could go in with any problems I might have. Unfortunately the owners of the company decided they would sell. My ISP then became Atlantic. Soon after breezeline bought them out. Of all the ISP's I've had in my life (at least 6), I can genuinely say breezeline is the worst by leaps and bounds. You can spend 30 minutes waiting on hold just for someone to hang up on you when you get through. Bill goes up almost every month at this point. Charging me rent on a modem I purchased from previous ISP outright. 1 day late for first time ever in 17 years? 70$ late charge. You are trash. The internet with this company is great, but their cable is horrible. Their equipment is subpar and they lie to you when you call to get service and then the service sucks. They promised that when you call you get help stateside, not true. I have had to call several times and call back a few times because I can't understand a thing. I have to reboot EVERY single time I turn my TV on and heaven forbid I pause to take a phone call...have to reboot again! And what sucks even more? Out of nowhere in the middle of watching TV my internet went down. I hard reset the modem to no avail. Called and got the automated system which I used to send a signal for a soft reset to no avail. Had to call back and have someone send what they called a harder signal which did not take effect. Made an appointment for a new modem to be delivered the next day, but the modem miraculously started to work. I also had been taking advantage of a promotion for a number of months that was set to expire and called approximately a month ago to ensure that I knew when that change was going to occur so I could change plans so as not to be billed the higher rate. The representative insured me that they would set it up to automatically go to the plan level I choose. However upon checking this information with a representative in billing, they told me that this had just gone to the next tear down which was outside of my affordable cushion. So I asked to change it to a lesser bill but they told me I would have to contact the retention department and that they were not currently in the office. I called back at the time I was told and nowhere on the automated system was there an option for the retention department so I ended up in billing again. They transferred me and the automated hold system told me it was a approximate 8 to 12 minute wait. Every 3 minutes it would tell me another time frame which was completely different than the last. Inevitably I was on hold for 45 minutes and every 3 minutes it interrupted the hold music telling me that it would be a five to nine minute wait each time. None of this is efficient, the whole system seems to be out of whack and completely not working whatsoever. And now I've been charged the amount of money on my bill that I could not afford and I have no recourse other than to continue calling, continue getting the billing department and continually be transferred to a department that never answers and leaves me on hold for an ungodly amount of time. At this stage in the game I'm going to call up frontier and price out their plans and most likely switch over. read more

Just like any other company. I did the price lock guarantee, direct payment, paperless billing to keep the bill down. Now they don't like the direct payment on my credit card that they want it directly into my bank account. I am sure if I had them take it out of the checking account then they would have charged the extra $5 because it was coming out of a checking account. my apartment building had a fire in July of 2024. I was removed from the building as it was condemned. knowing this i right away cancelled all my services with ease (Eversource, streaming services etc.) However, it was extremely difficult to cancel my Breezeline. they told me if I wanted to come back, I would lose my discount. they also told me that i had to send back the modem. With the building being condemned I have not been able to get in to get the modem and i also told them i would restart service anyways once I'm back in my apartment and not a hotel room, now 9/7/2024 after about 5 calls, multiple emails and online chats, I'm sitting with a 500 dollar bill (Modem fees and service etc) while they "investigate" if a fire happened or not that made news headlines. read more

DO NOT GET CHEESELINE. THIS product is so cheesy, it goes out EVERY DAY! I work off hotspots on my phone and use up all my $ on cellular. Breezeline told me they were sending out a tech guy on Saturday, AND THEY NEVER CAME. So on a beautiful Saturday between 10 and 12p I'm home waiting for someone to come. Their call back service is an absolute joke - you never get an actual call back (this is my second day of waiting over 47 minutes to get in touch with me after scheduling at least 5 call backs). Let me start by saying this review (the 5 stars) is purely on one of their technicians. The company itself sucks. They charge close to $300 a month, promise gigabit internet speeds, which you don't get. So with all that being said I finally got a real Atlantic Broadband technician (not a contractor), Matt S. He was awesome! He had great technical knowledge, was very friendly, and didn't have to worry about him being in my house, he was the bomb! Matt S. has been a technician for over 20 years and it shows, hint to Atlantic Broadband.. don't hire young kids who don't know nothing because you can pay them less. Every time I call regarding a problem they either hang up on me right after I express my consern or they discover that there is a charge they are not taking from me and my bill goes up and problem doesn't get solved, only more problems happen. Really did not give one star - too much, but had to give in order to review. Basically, nothing good about AtlanticBB. Internet is very slow, despite their commercials, phone is OK and cable is sketchy in bad weather. Prices ae very high, then once they "have" you, prices go up almost monthly because they tell you that the promotion you were on has expired. Company is very poorly run and results in a lot of customer frustration. I talked to three people in three different departments and still did not get any satisfaction. We have had Video (2 of three video bundles), Internet (100 mbs) and VOIP Services through Atlantic Broadband since they purchased Metrocast. Since that time our monthly bill has increased periodically to the point that it is absolutely ridiculous. We asked to drop the VOIP servcie and we were told that it would be an additional $30 per month to drop it. Last month our bill was $217 and this month it increased to $293 with no explanation other than we are now paying retail price. I asked to speak to their 'loyalty' department. I was put on hold for 45 minutes and then the phone line dropped (I assume they dropped it). My husband went to the local office and they could not help him. He asked for them to have their 'loyalty' department call, and they never called. This does not seem like loyalty to me. We live in an area where there is no other cable or internet services available, so we are pretty much locked in. I guess they can just charge anything they want and get away with it. This is such a bad situation. I am going to file complaints with the FCC, CT PURA and the BBB. This situation is so wrong! Something needs to be done so that the consumers are not treated like this. read more

On the plus side, service was pretty reliable. On the other hand, wifi was never as fast as promised. For more than 10 years I paid my bill ON TIME. Most importantly, I moved a year ago and went into the Waterford, CT office in person to close my account / pay off any outstanding balance. Suddenly, last month, I got a bill for $152.58 for "balance forward" and unreturned modem... This is just super shady to me... why am I getting a bill 11 months later? And how is there a balance forward when I paid everything off IN PERSON at a customer service window?? This is either mismanagement or terrible record keeping. GRRRRR!!!! read more

Breezeline is legit the shit stain of cable/internet providers. Customer service never has any idea what they're talking about. (I work in IT and from home) so I need a constant connection, the amount of money we pay this company for their lack of service is ridiculous, I live in the country on a dirt road, there's been a cable exposed in it the entire time. And we've brought it up multiple times and we're told it's a Verizon line. I live in the fucking boonies. No way it's Verizon. After 5 techs come out, he confirms it is the wire exposed in the ground. We're told he set Up an appointment and someone will be out the following week. 2 weeks later they come out, confirm they can't do much that day be wise they need approval to dig up the ground but would be back the following day. Next day no one shows and our service is worse off than before, I call and am told it's a 2-3 week before they can do anything. So I'm stuck with a bunch of wires in my trees until then. And spotty service at best. Fuck this place. Do not do service with them unless you absolutely have to. read more

I signed up for a package bundle (Cable & internet) for a period of two years yet the price continues to increase. They don't hold any pricing. When I signed up a year ago, the price was $139/month. I'm currently paying $159/month. The first increase was 6 mos. after the sign up. Now they are raising rates again with a global pandemic. Bill just went up another $10/month. My internet randomly crashes when there are no weather issues, multiple times a day. I often have to reboot my modem because it's 'frozen'. I live in a condo so I can't have satellite service, so short of canceling the service altogether, they know I'm screwed....yet clearly they don't care. read more

Worst service ever, cable is extremely slow and glitchy, some of the fees you notice in your bill include paying for other people's solar panels and they also have a capital gains tax they throw in there. Now they get rid of a conservative news outlet, rather than getting rid of trash like CNN or MSNBC, done with them and their terrible service. read more
