It is probably it is the same guy from all these reviews. I am cancelling my phone, and cutting all ties with this company. They have been billing a relative for 5 years for service they don't have, they refused to stop or cancel the account. I can prove we don't have the service, but they don't care. Honestly, I think you would be better off wth Xfinity or T-Mobile. I have spent hours on the phone with ATT being transferred sometimes to closed departments and sometimes to out of service numbers. Every other company I have dealt with about closing accounts has been great, with the possible exception of social security. Edit: Holy Cow! I just read the review about the manager hiding in the back room, and I think that is exactly what happened to me, except I didn't know ahead of time. Wow! Yelp is scary accurate. If I am right the person who they told me "left for the day" actually there and at least one employee knew it.

After a horrific experience with a manager at the Vernon Hills store, I contacted this AT&T store…read morebecause of its reviews on my maps app. When I called I was still a little gunshy from my conversation with the other store, but the manager Anthony was extremely friendly and helped answer my questions-exactly what I was looking for in my return as an AT&T customer-thank goodness! I went into the store and he was able to not only provide me with a 5 star experience just with his customer service, but helped me figure out the issue I was experiencing with a new phone I had purchased and wasn't activating correctly, and was also able to offer me the screen protectors I needed for 20% off-yes please! What I liked even more was that even at close to 7p when they were closing, he had a few questions and was able to reach out and get answers from those in his network (owners of the store, or district managers, but they were all very helpful and made sure he helped me to the point of satisfaction). Now that's what I call teamwork! I missed the window of return due to illness (yep, sick for two weeks plus) so I felt stuck with this new phone that I never really wanted, and frustrated with it's functionality even though it's supposed to be "better". I hated it. It's the newest iPhone XR - stress makes you do stupid things and spend money - and my old phone was an 8plus, which I loved. Not to mention it has all of my fave apps and my life on it by now. After talking with George at the AT&T store, he convinced me to keep the XR, I'm already paying for it so why not? And he showed me a better way of using it so it's more like my old phone, but better. He showed me shortcuts, ways to resize my keyboard and even how to add the touch button that I missed so much from my 8plus. What a bonus! He was even sweet enough to share his screensaver photo with me (by air drop) so I now have Rick & Morty to brighten my day every time I pick up my phone. George was a light at the end of this dark tunnel, technology can be so irritating, but he was really kind and professional and I will always go back to this location for all of my cell phone needs.

Calvin started out with not wanting to check other stores for phone colors, I guess because he wanted commission as another store would make the sale if we left. Which is fine, I guess. But then said that we had to pay for the "next up" and the whatever insurance they offer for the first month and then we would have to call and cancel the addon products after the first bill. We obviously did not want these products/services, especially did not want to have to deal with calling in a month to cancel them. He insisted that we had to pay for them. I said we don't want any of their insurance products. Calvin already hostile, started shoving a piece of paper in my face saying that these are not hidden fees but a "Feature" because that's how the fees were labeled as on the piece of paper. Claiming that we have to pay for these when getting new phones, nothing he can do about it. The whole time talking in a very rude fashion. Eventually he told us to leave after I said may be we should switch to T Mobile as they are not angry in their stores and upfront about their fees.. Felt like I was talking to an angry drunk at a dive bar that wasn't making sense but just saying the word "Feature" repeatedly. I didn't know that there was a difference in screen repairs until I broke my phone when I was in downtown Chicago and I went to a different place that put in a cheap screen that failed and then a second cheap screen that had a big white mark on it.
