If I could give no stars I would. My husband and I went into this location wanting to upgrade and get accessories for at least one phone and possibly another. We walk in and we were greeted and asked for our name and phone number and then asked to wait we waited 30 minutes and no one helped us. People came in after us and we're helped immediately. The associate who took our name stood there for a while and then helped someone who had been there before us. Other associates asked us if we had been helped and we said no and then they said the guy who checked us in would help us, even though there was three associates standing around doing NOTHING! I found myself coming in for the 4th time in less than 2weeks to this at&t store! Seems they couldn't get my phone lines adjusted correctly but everytime i came in i had a good experience! Eventhough i went 4 times and was there for an hr at the least, they were EXTREMELY Nice and understanding of the situation. Offering water every 10-15min, ROSE Is Sweet & Patient! JERRY Is Extremely Funny, He Will Talk To You Like He's Known you for Years! And SKYLER, who I believe was the manager, was amazing! RUN FAR AND FAST AWAY FROM AT&T and this store in Oceanside. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE FIVE (-5), I WOULD BECAUSE I BELIEVE THEY MERIT THE RATING. They do not know the meaning of customer service. I went into the Oceanside store about a little over 2 weeks ago to pay my $50/month bill, along w/ a recently added $5/month for 120 International minutes plan. Wait was only about 10 minutes, though they were somewhat crowded and busy. CSR came and I explained what I wanted to do, along with trying to find out the status of my remaining minutes on my International plan cause I wanted to make sure I could speak w/ my daughter in Nagoya, Japan. CSR said, "No problem"... but don't worry about the $5 plan 'cause as long as I added the $5 right then to my usual $50 monthly usage fee, it would "automatically 'kick in' if the minutes had expired". Handed the CSR $55 dollars, he went in the back and after a short while he came back w/ my receipt and stated "he took care of it... no problem!" A few days afterwards, I called my daughter and afterwards upon termination of the call received a text stating that I had a $3.49 balance left on my plan (something I had not seen previously when utilizing the International plan). I popped into the store, CSR (John) stated that my minutes had expired, I was now being charged $6 (and change) per minute to call Japan. I asked how that could be since the previous CSR had told me he took of it and my plan was active, and "all was good". The new CSR (John) said that I had "overpaid" my monthly bill by $5 (which, by the way, I could not use in any way . . . it was just sitting there ... ) and there was nothing he could do for me... I had to wait about three weeks and then again pay $5 to reactivate my International Plan. Since I was in the store to specifically take care of it, and CSR #1 had lied, misrepresented, or was incompetent or unknowing in what he said to me... I was left "hanging". CSR John said (in so many words) too bad, there was absolutely nothing they could or would do for me. At that point I mentioned that my phone had a 'glitch' which registers voicemail messages even then there are none ... it should read 'zero' (0) but it shows two (2) new voicemail messages. . . and this same, exact phone had the same problem about 5 months ago and the CSR at that time merely took my phone in the back and in about ten minutes came back and it was fixed. CSR John then stated ... "He could do nothing for me, he could/would not fix it, and how do they even know you even bought that phone from us?" And stated he had no record of them ever fixing my phone five months ago -which they did- and they also did not show that I had ever purchased two phones at the time." I did: one for me and one for my daughter). He also stated that his computer was "not connected to other company computer/info. systems" and that his system showed me as being a customer only since 2013 - the reality is I have been an ATT customer for over eight (8) years. I proceeded to ask if it was possible to get an upgrade or what type of promotion(s) did they currently have (as I was thinking of buying a smart phone for my daughter). CSR John says: there was NO DISCOUNT(S), NO PROMOTIONS, and absolutely nothing free. I could walk out the door paying the posted price on a smart phone but had to pay up front. After eight (8) years as a customer... they do NOT want to offer any freebies, promos, rebates, coupons, etc. These folks DO NOT CARE about customer satisfaction, customer retention, or apparently even just telling the customers the truth. The ATT automated (cell phone) customer service is just as bad. In attempting to add features ($5/month International Plan) : I followed to prompts judiciously, it took five (5) tries and after a very long wait each time it 'kicked me out' and I had to start again at 'square one' and I was never able to add the needed feature. I had to physically walk into their store to get the feature. In my line of work I deal w/ many, many military personnel, their families and/or dependents that have relocated to Oceanside from other geographic areas overseas or interstate. They ask me about utilities, phone service(s), and all the usual information when new families are trying to establish themselves in a new community. I now inform them that in getting a home and/or cell phone service established to go to anybody but AT&T since they have proven over and over again that they are at the very bottom of the scale in their customer service, reliability, and/or customer satisfaction. Their own actions have proven this truth in my own personal experience (and others have had this notion reinforced when recounting similar episodes they have had w/ AT&T). As a final aside, it won't do much but I am going to write to the FTC and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce in an effort to voice my displeasure with this money-hungry, untruthful, ineffective, unethical way that AT&T. read more

I had an appointment for someone to come set up my internet and I wasn't told a specific time they would be coming, I would just have to wait all day. So I stayed home and waited all day and no one came... I called the store to kindly ask if someone was still coming, but they just hung up on me after putting me on hold to figure out what was going on. That happened 3 times, on the 4th call they finally told me no one came because my street was closed in the morning and then proceeded to abruptly hang up without mentioning anything about rescheduling or any form of apology. I would like to add that they could have easily parked right in front of my house (on my doorstep) because I'm on an intersection and the main street was open with plenty of parking. They never gave me a call to cancel the appointment so I wasted an entire day waiting on someone who never came. Customer service was disappointing and very unhelpful despite my patience and kind manner. I do not recommend going with at&t, particularly this location. read more

I have been a customer with AT&T for over 10 years while also having a Verizon account over this period of time and longer (I had to keep two different phone carriers while working in the hedge fund industry). Therefore, I am familiar with both carriers' customer service and have had to interact with staff over the phone and in each carriers' store front multiple times. Additionally, we are Direct TV customers, and have been for a very long time. My interaction at this location with both a subordinate and a manager (Moody and his manager, John Connell) was easily the least informed, the least customer service oriented, the least understanding of their own companies basic business strategy and how they made a profit, and the least appropriate interaction I have ever had with any business... they made Time Warner Cable look good. I recently went into this location to add my significant other to my account. This would mean a new person coming from Sprint to AT&T. Moody (the subordinate) seemed friendly enough, but uninformed about how financing worked... this should have been the tip off that he didn't have a clue what he was doing. I made it clear that we wanted to add my significant other to my account, that she was currently on Sprint and would have to have her number transferred over. Moreover, she needed to be able to use this phone for work (iPhone 6s) until she could find an available iPhone 7 plus through Apple, as she wanted to enter into the Apple Upgrade program (the AT&T store did not carry ANY iPhone 7 pluses). Moody stated that this would not be a problem and jumped so fast to transfer the phone number to AT&T that he didn't even check to see if the Sprint account phone was unlock or even bridge the discussion of the industry standard subsidization of the potential Sprint fees (I have never had a carrier not subsidize fees to get you to change carriers). As soon as he was done, he disappeared into the back room, leaving us to deal with the issue -- a non-functioning phone but a more expensive phone plan to pay for and thus a better revenue stream for AT&T. Even worse, although we didn't find out till later when we rushed to a Sprint store, he effectively prevented us from reverting back to Sprint without starting a new 2-year contract. All this because he didn't take the time to evaluate the Sprint account prior to transferring the phone number... complete amateur. When I went to search for Moody, he was no where to be found. I asked for the manager and I was presented with the tergiversatory John Connell who said he was there to help. I explained the situation to John and he basically said... "well you can start an AT&T Next contract with us, but we will have to mail you the phone in two weeks because we don't stock the iPhone 7 plus... so you just won't have a phone for two weeks." I explained that my significant other wanted to purchase the phone through Apple as we wanted the Apple Care + and the annual phone upgrade and not through AT&T and that I wanted her to have the Qualcomm chipset given the faster modem speeds and great universality for international travel over the AT&T GSM only iPhone 7 model. Also, that she could not be without a phone for 2 weeks. John told me, and this is an actual quote from his mouth, "well ask Apple to subsidize the Sprint cancelation fee so you can unlock the phone." I was shocked, this manager 1) was rude to a loyal long term customer with both AT&T and Direct TV accounts, 2) didn't even understand that Apple is a hardware company and not a cell phone carrier, thus had not incentive to subsidize the transfer from one carrier to another (basic lack of understanding of his business), and 3) AT&T's finance program rate is zero in order to compete with Apple (also zero) and other sellers, thus they don't make any money on finance plans... he didn't understand that AT&T make all their money on the monthly cellular service contracts thus their incentive to get people to transfer from other carriers. He offered no additional help. I made sure that he knew I was upset and that I was a longterm customer who leaving the store with the intention of canceling my AT&T cellular accounts as well as my Direct TV account. read more

Went into the store and I was helped by a girl I had just purchased an iPhone and I was trying to verify if it was unlocked ( phone was og at&t. She helped me and said my phone was fully unlocked but I wouldn't be able to hook it up with my current provider. She continued to try to get me to switch to AT&T. Next day I went to a different AT&T store where they confirmed that the phone was not unlocked. And were able to help me unlock it. I think it was poor customer service to lieand tell me the phone was unlocked when it clearly wasn't only to get me to switch providers. read more

This store always has an insane wait time. I went in just to do a simple upgrade from my iPhone 4s to the iPhone 5s. Im eligible for an upgrade so i should just sign a two year agreement, pay for my phone and leave. Should be simple. I walk in at 7pm on a Wednesday night. Give my name to the girl in the front and she places me on the wait list in position number 6. I ask her approximately how long the wait will be. She tells me it will probably take about 30 minutes. Since I work in customer service I take this wait time with a grain of salt and know it will probably be a little longer than that. By the time 8pm rolls around and I am still in wait position 6, I'm pretty annoyed. Not a single one of the 4 associates actually working have finished with their guests that they were already with when I walked in. So that means they have been with them for over an hour. At this point the wait list is 11 strong with people walking in, looking at the wait, and then just leaving. It is one thing to provide service to the guest you are working with, but it is another not to value everyones time. You have a long line of people waiting, do not spend 30 minutes teaching someone about iCloud. Give them the resources to find that information on their own, answer any other question they may have, and send them on their way After another 15 minutes I told them to just take me off the list. I was then told I can make an appointment and my wait time would be less. Should I really need to make an appointment to buy a phone? It's a phone, not rocket science. It shouldn't take your sales associates over an hour to help one person. I was totally fine with waiting, but that was just inconsiderate to everyone in the store who was not currently being helped. The associates showed no sense of urgency when dealing with the guest. You are not at Sunday brunch, you're at work. Help the people get what they need quickly and efficiently, then move on. read more

Let me apologize in advance for this long post. For all my ATT friends out there, I hope you will share my story! I'm going to start from the beginning, on February 8th, 2017 I contacted ATT to lower my bill and to see if they had any specials going on. I had been receiving text messages that I was going over my data. I started an online chat with Zach. Zach had told me that I shouldn't be receiving any data overages due to my plan and for free he could increase my data to 6 GB. Sounds too good to be true? Great, I said sign me up. I then noticed on my next bill that I had overages in the amount of $90. I contacted ATT personally and I was told that I had received the extra charges because I had gone over my allotment.. HUH? I explained to them what Zach had told me. Basically, they didn't believe me, but said that they would have a manger get back to me in 3 days to review our online conversation. 3 days came and went, I waited 5 days and called them back. Meanwhile I had a new bill and had $90 in overages and $10 for a late fee added. I paid my bill minus the $100. Thinking it could be worked out. When I called them back, I explained that no one had contacted me as I promised and that I was disputing the $90 + $10. Hannah asked me to pay the balance and then they would look into it. I said I've already been there and no one called me back. I'm disputing this charge. Hannahl then said it would take 7 days for them to review my dispute. That she would push out the bill to May 3rd and that would insure that I would have heard from someone by that time as to not incur any late charges. Well, once again no one called me back. Currently my phone is disconnected. I contacted ATT to find out why my phone had been disconnected since I was in the process of disputing an amount? I was told that I had promised to pay by May 3rd. I was told that since I didn't pay my phone was disconnected. Once again, my fault, I guess? I decided to go into an ATT store to speak to a manager. John What a joke, after more than an hour of going back and forth and having "Alfredo" at the store contact Customer Service on my behalf I found out that they didn't agree with my dispute. So now, I owe two months of late fee's equal to $30.00, I will incur a reconnection fee AND I have a proration amount that I have for my plan change $61.15. When I threatened to sue ATT for money that I should not pay, manager John showed me the door and told me that once I threatened them we could no longer discuss this matter! OMG! I was there with my mom!! Once I got home, I regrettably and begrudgingly paid ATT $463.09. Because, even if I wanted to go somewhere else with my phone number I would not be able to until I paid the balance owed. I cannot believe how much power these companies have to rip us off!! I am completely frustrated and so angry that I can incur late charges because they provided me with FALSE information and then when they were supposed to contact me to work it out, no one even bothered!! If I could have given AT&T a zero I would have! read more

I stopped in here on my way down from LA once and now it's my go-to AT&T store because of the great service. I will even drive all the way from where I live in Kearney Mesa to go here. The customer service is so good that I always feel taken care of and like they are doing their best to really help me. They are also incredibly knowledgeable. Other AT&T stores either have terrible service or the people don't really know what they're doing and cannot answer any of my questions. Calling AT&T is often a complete waste of time. Came in to look at a plan and upgrades and discuss options Advised them we were strongly considering switching to sprint and have estimate. Not one word to encourage us to say. I highly suggest not coming here unless you want to waste your time and have nothing better to do. I decided to walk in there explaining to the sales associate that I wanted to pre-order a iPhone 7.. I told him I like iPhone cause I have a 6 already but I was curious about any contracts to obtain the iPhone. I explained to him I didn't want spend $870 for the iPhone 7. He said they got rid of contracts and that is the only way other than leasing the phone for $29 a month for 30mos. Which is basically the same thing as buying it. I left the store thinking that was the only way to get the iPhone 7.. I later learn from friends that there is a deal where you can trade in your old phone and get a large credit to drop down the price on the iPhone 7. Why couldn't that sales person offer me that suggestion? If you're in sales and you make a profit on selling things, why not be helpful and suggest options to customers to attain a sale? Obviously, people aren't trained well enough to sell at this location. If they can't sell their products, or have knowledge of deals, it's a bad idea to shop here.. Run the other way! They use deceptive sales tactics. I went in asking for an upgrade on my phone and ended up buying a new phone on an installment plan without being told that's what I was doing. I thought I was getting the upgrade and two year commitment. The installment plan was never mentioned to me. I found out on my next bill and went back to store and it was past their 14 day return policy "Woops, sorry. Nothing we can do about it". Jeremiah, who sold me the phone and the manager gave me such sad puppy dog eyes. I'm sure the he got a nice commission out of it.. Lesson learned. Don't trust sales people or what they say. If I could give no stars, I would. But unfortunately I'm not able to. We had an issue and had to go in and get new SIM cards and to "reverse our phone number change" and we were there for almost 3 hours and walked out with only one phone (which stopped working an hour or two later), and they weren't able to activate the other one for some strange reason. I was also told by several coworkers in store and customer service number that they would reverse the phone number change and get us our old number back and we had 50 or so days to do that. They had some trouble with that also but the guy helping had mention that if they cannot get the numbers reversed like they had promised then they would waive the fees to get us a number from back home so I was okay with that. I was also told the phone would be working within the next 12-24 hrs. I was upset but I still managed to walk out with a smile because my phone would be working within 24 hrs. The guy had also mentioned for me to call customer service and to ask for some sort of a courtesy discount for the wait and for not being able to get our phones working. Like I said above, my husbands phone stopped working, it was already late, so we weren't able to do much. Next day I call AT&T customer service, and the guy got the phones to work within 15-20. No problems whatsoever and turns out that the reason why my phone wouldn't activate was because the guy had gave him the wrong SIM card number... Like really? But honestly I want surprised because the entire time we were in the store the day before, everyone was too busy gossiping about their personal life instead of focusing and helping customers as they walked in. People would walk in and weren't being greeted or helped because everyone was too busy gossiping with each other and the other people who weren't were either texting away, or just looked bothered if any customers had questions. But long story short, the customer service rep, got our phone activated and just had to call the store to get them to notate the account since they "forgot" to add notes, like always, in order for them to get us some kind of a courtesy discount for waiting and also for them to waive the fees so he can give us similar numbers. So he called and got her on the line and the employee name SAVANNAH pretty much said that I was in and out and left with both phones working. She said that we needed to stop putting words in her employees mouth and that her employees are always right. She said customers are pretty much always wrong is what she was trying to say. She said she would not notate the account because I was a liar and that There's always those people who are never satisfied and I was one of them. I went ahead and Told her to review the tapes, and told her my side of it and she was not having it and simply told me that she is on her associates side and that customers are never right so I did vent. And she found it amusing and we hung up. Thank goodness the rep on the phone took care of use and managed to fix my account, phones, and phone numbers. From now on I will just call AT&T customer service. I will never go into this store again. Worst customer service in the entire world. It is pretty sad how they treat their customers. On the phone I told Savannah that they have lost us as customers and she said it was completely okay. That right there shoes a lot from the manager or whatever she claimed to be. If possible, go to another store. And if you have to go in, I would not recommend Savannah whatsoever. AT&T please train in store employees to have a little more care for their customers. I'm not saying to go above and beyond and give handouts to everyone. I'm saying just to listen to the customer carefully and at least pretend that you care. Sometimes customers are right. I went in to have my sim card replaced and they did that and billed my account for a I phone 6 s for $680.00 NICE I got a notice from at&t in an email on the change to my account. I called them and the corporate offices fraud division had a number of questions. It appears I was going to be charged for more that one phone at $680.00 each. Lorenzo that is so not good. My husband and I have been ripped off $214 out of our bank account and then they said we never paid our bill. But fail to say anything till a month later when somehow we owe $304 in late fees. We had been with this company for over 2 years and never had an issue. The lady argues with me on the phone about how it's not their job to let us know if something doesn't go through and we should be responsible...? I go to my bank and they tell me we had $214 taken out and I get a written letter from my bank manager and all my bank statements take it to this store and now two months later they still fail to admit they are wrong. Seriously?? My husband is military we don't get paid like Hollywood. So to rip us off and say we still owe money is a scam. We cancelled our service and moved on. I went here because my phone was on its last leg, a lot of the buttons did not work. My goal was to find out if the phone was able to be fixed or if I needed to look for a new one. I was unfamiliar with the current plans and phone offerings and hoped to get some help with that. I had to wait around 15 minutes even though it seemed there were sales personnel available since they were standing at the counter unengaged with customers. When the rep did a test on my phone it confirmed what I already told him, nothing more, then he basically said I should get a new phone...I explained I knew little of the current plans or phones since I had mine before everything changed. He tried to convince me of how even when phones were free before I was still paying for them fine I said. I did not need to hear him go on about how long he worked there or how much he knew how things were done better now. I just wanted help and information to help me to decide on a new phone but he just looked at me and said I needed to pick a phone without so much as explaining any options or asking about my needs. I mentioned again that was why I was there for assistance he just stared at me with a blank face saying I just needed to pick a phone. After realizing my time was being wasted I said oh I see maybe I should go to Best Buy where they actually explain the choices. Sad thing is I think the same thing happened several years ago. Note to self do not look for phones at AT&T store near Trader Joes just go to Best Buy. I got great service at Best Buy and bought the new Samsung S8 after Vanessa took the time to listen to my needs and explain the choices. read more

Please avoid going here! First, they upsold me into something we did not want. I ended up buying a Galaxy S4 instead of what i wanted iPhone 5, and they the Galaxy S4 broke 2 days later and they blamed us that we had broke the cell phone which we did not! They did NOT help us and now we are out $650!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE, that is why they have such a low rating and i should have gone with my gut feeling and not gone here. read more
