I was an AT&T customer for 22 years. I used them for my personal and business phones, internet, etc. In November of last year, my wife and I went in to the Oceanside location to upgrade our phones. After getting the new I-phones, the salesperson offered us a new tablet for $100.00 for some promotional deal. We didn't even need another tablet however, I said yes because of the price. I told the salesman to assign the tablet to the number that was on one of our old tablets. Well he apparently didn't listen very well because we found out later that he didn't add the new tablet to the existing number or our shared data plan. Therefore, we were incorrectly billed for $5,500.00 for one month of data on the I-pad. In spite of admitting their mistake, every person I spoke with about getting the charges removed either couldn't or wouldn't help me. Each time I spoke with a billing agent or manager, I was given the same excuse that "The amount was above their limit to remove from my bill". I then went into the AT&T Store & was referred to TIM HOFFMAN - The Sales Manager. Tim promised me he would get the charges removed and resolve the issue ASAP. However, after a month of leaving messages and being ignored by Tim, I went to the store again. This time he told me he had to refer to issue to "His" manager JEREMY TAYLOR. Problem was Jeremy was on vacation and wouldn't be available for another week and a half. Despite the threats to cancel my service coming from the AT&T Billing dept., Tim assured me that the issue would be resolved before my service was interrupted. After waiting for 2 more weeks for JEREMY TAYLOR to contact me, I reluctantly contacted the AT&T billing dept. and requested another extension so my service wouldn't get interrupted. I finally received an email from JEREMY TAYLOR in which he explained "He was very busy but would get the charges reversed as soon as he could". I waited for another 3 weeks and NOTHING. The week before my billing extension was to run out I sent JEREMY another email begging him to get the charges taken off. I told him that my business would lose THOUSANDS of dollars if my lines were down. He again assured me he was "Working on it" and the charges would be cleared before the service interruption date. The day before AT&T was scheduled to shut the phones off I sent yet another email to JEREMY. This time I was completely IGNORED. I suppose I could have paid AT&T the $5,500.00 and continue to fight for a refund however, that seemed like an ignorant decision based on AT&T's unwillingness to even talk to me. Therefore, my only other choice was to switch service to VERIZON so I wouldn't lose my phone numbers. And that is exactly what I did. The people I dealt with at AT&T clearly don't care about losing my business. And after 22 years and 12 phones lines, AT&T basically thumbed their nose at me. If you plan on purchasing a phone or service from this store - I strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

After my daughter had her phone stolen at Carlsbad High School we needed to get a replacement. I always dread having to go into any phone store because I know it's not going to be a cheap trip however my husband and I were pleasantly surprised when James helped us out today. This is the "guy" you need in your life...seriously. Not only did he get my daughter's phone issue fixed, he helped us save a ton of money on our phone plan, directv, Internet, and home security. He took the time to answer all our questions, give us some helpful tips, and most importantly he was a genuinely honest down to earth kinda guy. If we ever need anything again...we will be seeing James! James you rock!!! read more

-5 Stars. Just off the phone w/AT&T (1 hour & 20min) Trying to find out why there's a random $100 charge to my cc and I wanted to go from the $40 to the $30 Go Phone Plan. Never got the $100 charge figured out. They couldn't find that charge in the database (both Go Phone & Uverse). Never resolved!! Changing mobile plans never resolved either. A text message from AT&T on the 25th said my plan will renew on the 25th. Next day (26th) transfer complete. Now (in California) we need to pay taxes on this plan. Only California!?! My beef is that my text said renewal on 1/25, but my "MyATT" app said next payment due 28th. I wanted to change my plan to the $30 plan, but AT&T website said to wait until the day b4 bill due. I waited. Meanwhile I am charged on the 26th? (wrong date from both resources) and now I can't change my plan until my renewal day February 24th... See how the due date changes every month?? Always 2 days earlier (don't use auto pay). After almost an hour & a half and MANY transfers they wouldn't credit me $10 whole dollars AND my random charge of $100 never solved. Both AT&T Uverse & AT&T Go Phone Can't See that charge in their databases AND they're both BLAMING the other. So I'm gonna change my Internet & my Mobile phone companies... Any sugestions?? Ps. This store does only gets one star because zero stars is not an option. I went to the store to get additional information about the U-Verse tv, specifically about the U-Basic tv package. The first person was clueless about anything U-Verse, so the second sales person came over to help and he told me that that package was discontinued. I told it was not, because I talked with AT&T on the phone about that package, and all I needed was additional information. The sales person told me again that the package was not available, and instead of trying to get the correct and additional information, his response was rudeness. I didn't want to argue with this guy so I turned around and left, and I won't go back there. The customer service in this store is the opposite of the service in the Apple stores. read more

Well first of all let me say that the wait to talk to someone is terribly LONG!!! It seems to not big them that they have people waiting for two hours!!! I went in with my sister to start new service and we had to make an appointment because they had us waiting for about 20 mins and we decide to make an appointment.. We got there on time and still had to wait to be helped.. The guy that helped us was great! mItch he is a big sweet heart he kept apologizing for everyone and everything... That was day one... Day two we went back without an appointment because our credit cards had been charged unexpectedly from ATT and we waited TWO hours to see someone! Seems like if you're not going to buy a phone they might not be to interested in helping you. We were there so long that we stayed past 9:00Pm we got there at 7:09 PM, which is the time they close.. My boyfriend came to pick me up and they would not let him in the store after 9:00. The guy JOey was so rude about not let him into the store! I understand policy and I respect that but the way he spoke to me was very unprofessional! Anyway if you could avoid this store do so because the wait and some of the staff is just not worth it.. I did find a store that was extremely helpful and nice it's the ATT store located in the mall.. I will be writing a review on them shortly. I'm only giving this place three stars because Mitch was so helpful..otherwise they would be getting a two from me. read more

I took in a brand new iPhone to get it set up and had an appointment. Lambert Hoffman created me as I walked thru the door and said he could help me. I had no pre-conceived notion that they would do anything other than help with my plan. I was very very pleasantly surprised as Lambert completely set it up with my contacts, linked it with my iPad via the "cloud" and I could not be happier. I asked him about a case and he showed me several and it was no hard sell at all. I then bought a charger for my car. I am 73 years young and a bit tech challenged, but I did not feel a bit intimidated by Lambert as every question I asked, he answered so I would understand. Couldn't be happier. In fact I am going back today as the phone will not ring and I have tried everything in the setting and pushed every button. I know it is just a little tweak and they will have me out the door in no time. Thanks Lambert. read more

I recently purchased an iphone 5c and decided to return the phone for a 5s- since I ordered the phone online, I called AT&T and asked them how I can return the phone - they told me simply to go to a corporate store, return the phone and purchase a new one- no problem because I was well within the stated 14 day return policy. The manager at this store tells me she won't take back the phone- she's not supposed to because of some vague new mandate by AT&T or Apple or something- a lot of jargon was thrown my way... So I called AT&T from the store and sure enough the AT&T rep said that I could send it back to AT&T and return, no problem. I asked her if I should try another AT&T store and she says yes, it couldn't hurt- so how can the manager at this store tell me she can't take back the phone because of some official policy and yet the rep told me they will take back the phone and it wouldn't hurt to try another store? It seems to me that a corporate store should honor the same policy that AT&T does. Waste of my time visiting this store and won't be going back. read more

I have been a customer of AT&T's in good standing for 17 years and I have never complained about them before. This store used to provide outstanding customer service but has gone seriously downhill. They claim to not be able to handle any billing issues whatsoever. So, they can sell you phones and service but then they deny any responsibility for the company's actions thereafter. They simply refer you back to the phone or online customer "service" which is ridiculously ineffective. We have called and spent hours on the phone with no resolution to our issue. If you plan to use your phone internationally and think what the reps are telling you is accurate, think again. We purchased an international plan, were assured it would cover our usage and then came home to a $600+ bill. Phone and online "customer service" can't explain what happened and refer us in circles. We finally went to the store to try to get help and David Davenport said there was nothing he could do because he is "only a sales rep" and referred us back to the same phone number/chat sessions we have been wasting hours with. When I was unsatisfied with his response, he became very rude and dismissive. If you want to buy something from AT&T, go ahead and visit this location, but if you expect any help after your purchases are complete, watch out. I will cancel my 5 lines and hot spot and take my business elsewhere. read more
