Today was my first time at this aTT in Pinole and have to say Parris was phenomenal. Before I boast about him and the quality service my father and I received I need to mention about the other man who was working who seems to have this cocky attitude about the job. Jesse, I saw your name tag, I wasn't very fond of the way you treat your staff nor customers. Here was my experience. We walk in, Parris greets us, and asks how they can help. We start getting set up with a new phone upgrade, and just chatting about what I want in a phone and what I'm looking for. He suggests the new iPhone we like it. Goes to check the timer on the safe and there's a lock on it for now. Since they have the timer safes with the phones no worries we have time, now we are talking cases he shows us where the cases are and he leaves us to go check on some stuff. I'm looking at cases with my dad it felt like not even a min passed and I hear "PARRIS GO HELP THEM WITH PHONE ACCESSORIES AND STUFF" I get up and look over and say "we are good he was just here" look over at parris and gave him I'm sorry he's talking to you like that and the why is he rushing us right now look. (Mind you it's like 11 am give or take) Anyways, we get back to our sale. A new customer comes in and Jesse is working with some customers, and Parris greets the new customer, and Jesse greets him on a first name basis. Both say they will be right there. Jesse finishes first and goes to greet the new customer. Chats with him a bit, then says okay well Parris you're almost done right, he can help you cause I don't do cellular phones. Parris also while Jesse is pestering remains calm and like he's used to this, and still handles the sale with us wonderfully. Customer service isn't just when you're talking directly to the customers Jesse. read more

Never go to this store ever! The new manager. The old manager are all the same. They are not able to help you because they are not an OFFICIAL AT&T store. It's better to just drive to Richmond store . At least the Richmond store can help you. And look into your account. FYI- The Pinole store can't help you. They will only SELL to you! customer service is lacking, waited 45 min for the one employee working and all he did was tell me to call in for help. We were looking to change a few things as well as get the newest phone and instead we left empty handed after waiting an extended period of time and a less than 3 min convo with the 1 employee we waited so long to help us. Maybe it was because it was raining buckets out of it's a slow Sunday, but I walked right in and received fast service. Main goal: walk out with a brand new phone. I have an iPhone 7 and I was ready to upgrade. Michael was so friendly and quick to greet me. He made the process kind of fun and really smooth. I got all the info and he even wrote out the pricing plan to make sure I was clear about the entire process. Seeing the numbers written down on the paper... well Michael made it stress free, really! I'd recommend him to any customer, no matter what you need. I'm totally satisfied with my experience and most importantly my phone! My tablet died a while back. It is easier for me to keep it by my side to type and read on than my phone. I went to this store to order a new one. I was told to bring it back and they would help me set it up. The tablet arrived in record time and I stopped and the fellow I talked to had no idea how to set up a tablet. I finally asked if he could put the card in, he did say he could do that. He then told me he just sold products he had no idea how to set anything up. read more

This location is horrible I would not recommend. My daughter tried to pick up the phone she bought but did not know she had to be an authorized user on the account even though the phone is in her name.Manager Jesse marked the account as fraud . He saw a young Black woman upset and frustrated and automatically said it was a fraudulent situation. When I got there and showed ID,He was very condescending to me mom, and said he would not release the phone I paid for until i apologized to him for saying I hate ATT in frustration. He doesn't even work for ATT they are dealers not employees . He then cancelled the transaction, said we had to repay the phone fee, and if we didn't we could leave HIS store immediately. He is a horrible horrible "person" . I called back to ask for his supervisor but they would not answer my call. I then had a friend 3 way and they answer immediately. I asked the young man for Jesse's supervisor but was told he could not give that info. I'm sure Jesse was there instructing the young man what to say. He probably feared Jesse would reprimand him . I did get a last name Gist. He's the worst. I'm pushing for corporate. It's an authorized retailer and I'm now hearing they can be sleazy places so I'm not holding my breath. I went into this store twice in the pass three weeks. My husband needed a new phone to support apps as he had a iPhone 6. After going around with the salesman first about the account, which my name was on the account and the fact I had to show him that the account said my husband had a eight iPhone pro, and the phone was a six. ‍ Ok I needed a 13 iPhone pro max, as the screen is larger and my husband has problems with his sight. Than saying sorry we have no 13 pro max, the salesman just wanted to make a sale. And was showing me I could just make the fonts larger. ‍ already tried that, you just don't understand my husband. Went across the street and bought just what I wanted. Today I had been waiting for the new iPhone 14 pro max to come out. I went to Best Buy to buy one except they were out. I sat outside of Best Buy and called AT&T who checked to see if anyone in my area had one. It showed the AT&T Pinole Store had them, not the color I wanted and the gigabytes but I needed a new phone. I was willing to deal with it. Went across the street to the store and once again the same thing happen. They didn't have them. I would have to preorder, which was I already knew I could do myself online, and told me I didn't need it. They had the other 14 in stock ‍ Called AT&T and told them the problem I have had both times. We have been a customer of AT&T since 1995. My phone will be in my hands within the next few days. My dad came here tonight because his phone stopped working. Sadly he was met with rudeness. He came into the store at about 7:30 - 30 minutes before they were supposed to close. He politely asked if they had time to help him get a new phone and they completely ignored him, TWICE. The employees ignoring him were one man and one woman. There were 2 other costumers there but the two employees were chatting with each other so my dad thought they would have time. He ended up just walking out after they ignored him twice. I have to say that we visited this store to have our new Apple watches added to our account and remove the old ones. Bad experience for me. I had to go two days in a row to get my my data changed from one phone to the other. The second day, they called my name after signing in and worked a little in my phone. Then walked off. I had to go sign myself in again as I had waited at least a half hour which already meant a total of 3 hours in this store, trying to get my phone set up .Signing in twice upset them and they treated me as if I were a bother. I called AT&T today as I want to exchange my phone back (the 13 has a ton of glitches) and they told me it was not a corporate AT&T, and he sent me to a corporate AT&T. Zero stars!! Went to the store today because I want to update my iPhone. The younger gentleman there provided his worst service ever! I asked couple questions he basically pointed at the iPhone stall and told me to do the calculations myself. I used to go to best buy for mobile phone issues (it's right across the street) but now this store is my go-to. First, they cleared up a mystery of my hubby's phone not working (it was 3g, is why). Then they set his new phone up for him even though he had not purchased it there. A few months later it was my turn to be required to upgrade my phone (old one was not holding charge, plus a few other things). They answered all my cranky boomer questions about options with a genuine smile and didn't mind that I, too, bought my phone elsewhere. And once the new phone arrived they showed me how to make my favorite features work. In fact, they had to show me twice :) Awesome service! This review is long overdue but I have known Annabelle before she became a manager when she worked at the Concord and Hilltop mall. Years have passed and she is still my go-to AT&T person for years even when I moved to LA for a couple years. From Billing questions, transferring my services, to inquiries on deals, she has helped me countless of times remotely through text or in store, she's that helpful! I love sending my family or friends to her because I know she won't rip them off and she always has your best interest in mind. Thank you for all your help always! My sister went into this store to upgrade 3 phones. She was helped by a rep named Mosses who told my sister that she could not trade in their devices and qualify for the free promotional phone unless she changed to a newer unlimited plan. I spoke to Mosses who said the only way to walk out the store with a new phone was to pay full price, or switch to a new plan - a bit extreme, right? I informed Mosses that I would call customer service to confirm this - which they DID NOT. Of course I was on the right plan and qualified for all new promotions. I sent my sister back to the store with this information and they then told her she needed to pay the bill in order to process the upgrade - another blatant lie as my billing cycle ends on the 24th (it's the 17th!). As this was happening, I was on the phone with customer service who confirmed this information and ultimately reversed the payment to my sisters card. Lastly, they refused to process my sisters upgrade under the widely advertised promotion. After 2 hours on the phone with customer service, they were able to process our return kits. I highly recommend doing your business online as stores like this is the reason retail customer service is dead. read more

I feel like family when I come to this At&t store, they always recognize a familiar face and they are alway accommodating! This store can get busy but they always thank you for waiting so patiently and they try to work as quick as they can so they can accommodate your needs and questions. Spoke to a store associate 2 days ago, he told me about a promo for the new iPhone 12. He said that I had to go online and do it myself. I tried to do it but I was direct to a message informing me that I had to pay the balance of my current iPhone in store or online. I tried to do it online but for some odd reason I couldn't. So today I went to the same store to pay the balance and the associate after 5mins said "I can't help you cause it's not allowing me to access the account this store is only an authorized retail store not a corporate store. Pretty annoyed because I missed the time slot I wanted because of the associate incapable of doing his job or asking for help from other associates or a manger. Friendly service but they didn't have what we needed (small sim card for iphone 6).

On 9/28/2023 about 6:00 pm I walked in for help hoping to be pointed into the right direction. My Home Internet Smart Manager app was not working properly. When I mentioned what was wrong they pointed me to Best Buy geek squad stating I can go buy a new phone or get it fixed . They didn't even try to look into the Issue nor did they give me a phone number to call for the issue. I looked up the issue online and I'm not the only one and it's not a phone issue it's a att issue. The fat guy sitting down was not helpful at all and his co worker was giving me the same run down . I understand you guys aren't technicians just sales persons but at least try and help out instead of sending me some where I don't need to go. My phone works fine all my current apps work . The worst experience of my life with any company ever! This store shouldn't even get one star. It should be a negative 5 stars. I was lied to, I was charged for things they told me was "free," and they added insurance and protection package to my bill without my consent. Over Chistmas I went to get a phone, just one, but the salesperson told me there was a promotion of buy one get one free. I thought ok and I went with the the promotion, only to find out 3 weeks later that I wasn't eligible for the promotion and that I needed to bring the extra phone back or I would be charged. It was their mistake and I had to pay the price. Who does that? They told me so many lies..."here are free head phones" - not free; "here is a free cord" - not free; "I won't make you pay taxes on the free ipad" - not true, he charged me. Then the manager had to apologize for the salesperson who did this to me. He lied to her and told her he had called me about me not qualifying for the BOGO, which he hadn't. But she wasn't any better. She tried to be all nice and sympathetic and said she would take care of everything and give me $150 credit for my inconvenience- and yet another lie, this time from the store manager. Don't go to this store. You will be ripped off. Go to a corporate store. read more

This has to be the worst att. I've been with the company since 98 when they were still Cingular, and I have never had such horrible service. Every time I go in there, they never have anything I need in stock. How do you run out of SIM cards? And this is after I bought a brand new phone and added an additional line. This store is pointless. I just brought my phone in to be fixed, which is in mint condition and just randomly blackout and became unresponsive. Pretty convenient it happen 13 months after I bought the phone when the warranty expires at 12! Not to mention it's supposedly a $400+ phone! You would think the product, or company, would have a little more integrity. When I brought the phone in to be fixed all they basically did was the same thing I already tried, which was a soft/hard reset. Really!?!? Why do you pay for a store front and employees when the extent of their knowledge equates to about 5minutes of google? It's a complete waste of time going in there. The young lady that helped me was nice in a 'sorry, not sorry' type of way, but the other worker (I believe his name a Erik) literally didn't look up from his phone the entire time I was in the store. Honestly, I don't think I heard hm say a single word the whole time I was in the store. This wouldn't have been as frustrating if the young lady didn't have to reference to him on what to do. Ive gone to a couple of ATT retailers and have had great experciences with the online serve. So I do plan on staying with ATT. That said, I will never go to the Pinole store again. I come in to by a phone and the sales person tries to steer me to the phone he wants to sell. Obviously he offers the expensive phones. I say no and ask about the phones on display. The sales guy response is that is an older model, the model in the back not on display is a newer model and only a little more. I finally decide on phone, we go through the the paperwork (every now and then the guy checks for messages on his phone)and then the salesperson says, by the way, there is an upgrade fee. Im not paying an upgrade to replace a phone I have insurance on. So I tell the sales guy that I don't want the phone. Again, I don't plan on paying an upgrade to replace a phone that I am paying insurance on Unfortunately I can't leave as the sales person already disabled my SIM card. About 15 minutes he finally resolves the issue. I get home, SIM card shows as invalid. I decide to type the yelp while I a on hold with ATT support. To re-iterate, I still plan to stay with ATT, but I will not do business with that outlet Note: I finally got to an ATT person and was told that the SIM card was disconnected. I will need to go to an ATT store tomorrow and get a new SIM card. One star is too many Post Note: The other store I went to fixed the issue and informed me that the phone was entitled to a free upgrade. read more

So interesting experience at this "authorized" ATT retailer. Came to this location to upgrade my iPhone. Just to keep it short, the staff who works here are super laid back but got the job done when working on my transaction. When I came back to pick up my iPhone, saw two of the staff members lying down on the bench just "resting" I guess cause it was slow with no customers. Heard lots of personal calls from the staff as well. If you don't care about this kind of stuff, by all means come here, this is just all observation. read more
