I went there yesterday 1/7/18 to get a new phone. Beware!!! They will tell you anything just to get you spend more money like you are to required to get a bundle on your free phone if you get a bundle on your original purchase phone. They will not put your sim card on your free phone. They will lie that their employee that you are looking is already gone even though they are just there when your calling for a complaint. My boyfriend and I went in to the AT$T store to get him the Galaxy S7. They didn't have it in stock and so he settled for a downgrade to an SJ3 or something like that. This was a $200 phone as opposed to an over $500 phone. You'd think they would stock the more expensive phone over the cheap model but no. So when he went to pay he said he wanted to split the payment between his debit card and his credit card. The sales guy said sorry, they only accept one type of payment. My BF and I were shocked at how inflexible this was and he told them so. Have you ever been told you couldn't split a payment anywhere else? I never have. He was so irritated he said forget it and we walked out. The sales guy did nothing to try to save the sale by offering to get the manager or offer any alternatives. He just didn't give a shit and he was not warm at all. The other really aggravating part of it all is that the phone he currently has, a Galaxy S5 won't hold a charge (this is his 2nd battery) and the screen is coming off and he still owes $100 on it so he has to pay it off before he can buy the new phone. I, along with many many others, wish YELP would allow zero stars. One star implies that there is a tiny bit of good when in fact there is none. I need to begin by saying that this all started when AT&T's robo call system called me. The robot told me that payment for my account was overdue. My wife has always taken care of this account, it's in her name. She is in the hospital so this bill didn't get paid on time.I wanted to pay the bill, so I followed the instructions the robot gave me and was put on hold for 23 minutes. I called back and was put got on another 17 minute hold. A human being finally picked up and asked how they could help me. I said I wanted to pay the overdue bill. The person asked me for my "passcode". I told him I didn't have one. He put me back on hold and no one ever picked up again. After twenty some minutes, I hung up. I then went to the local AT&T "store" figuring I could certainly pay my bill there. An oriental woman that barely spoke English approached me and asked how she could help me. I explained the situation to her and she confirmed that, in fact, I couldn't pay the bill without a passcode. I was starting to get a bit upset when she turned walked away from me. I confronted her and she got on a wired phone in the store and eventually handed it to me. It was the same recording I got earlier where I was put on semi-permanent hold! Now I was starting to get really getting pissed. A different lady came over to me and asked what the problem was. I explained it to her and she dialed a number on that same phone and handed it to me. It was ringing. A guy came on and I went through the entire saga again. He asked me a couple of questions and told me he could take care of it. After having me prove who I was, he "allowed" me to pay the bill. We all know How much of a pain in the ass it is to try and deal with AT&T over the phone. But the people that work at the Pinole, CA store are the most uninformed, rudest AT&T employees I've ever run across. They were apparently trained to be as rude as possible with only one goal, to get you out of their store and stop bothering them. "Customer Service" is obviously an oxymoron at AT&T, especially at the "store" in Pinole. I am looking into my options - I've had enough. read more

I'm not from Pinole and this was my first time going to an AT&T store out here. I was meeting someone to buy a used iPhone and then get a new SIM card and set it up on my line. Rancheska is who helped me out and she had such great customer service I cant even put into words. I honestly could have sat and talked to her all day she was so cool! She was super down to earth, over the top with helpfulness, and really went above and beyond for me. I work in customer service so I really appreciate it when I meet an employee anywhere that's genuinely nice and there to really help and serve you to the best of their ability. read more

This is a fraud alert!! I went into the Pinole Store on Fitzgerald a year ago for info concerning the purchase of a smart phone. The young woman was snarky and delivered very poor customer service. I left without making a purchase. As we were about to complete the transaction (that was never completed) she was handed my Capital One credit card. I have had Cap One for years and never had a problem, until this week!! This store used my Cap One card for a year!! for Direct TV!! I never had/used/watched or purchased DIRECT/ATT. For one year this store has billed my account between $10 and $50 . When I was notified by CAP One what this store was doing I went there to confront this young woman(Yep, she was still there) and she asked for my SS#. I reluctently obliged in order to locate the record. She worked her magic on her laptop and said, "We have no record of you ever being in here for a purchase'!!! I cancelled ALL credit cards plus closed my bank accounts due to this fraudulent activity. BEWARE!! of this company and beware of this store. read more

My son and daughter in law took me to this store to buy them a new iPhone and myself one. we were told you had 14 days to return it if we did not like it or something went wrong with it as long as we paid a restocking fee of 45.00. so my phone had a lot of noise and people were telling me it was cutting in and out and I could hear static on the line. So my son returned it within 14 days and we had the 45.00 dollars and they told us they did not have the phone there to give us a new one and that we needed to take it to walnut creek to the apple store and they would replace it. Well first they did have a new phone there my girl friend went in to pretend to buy the same phone and they had it... So lying to customers is not good and all we wanted was to get a new phone. Normally I would go ahead and just go to walnut creek but I had surgery and cant drive that far. It is just not right when that was their policy to begin with.
