I came here to this store to do trading and setting up my new phone. Unfortunately, person who works there was on break until 3pm, he posted a note on the entrance door and locked. I waited patiently until 3pm hoping the person on duty will be back on time. 3:30pm when i left the area seeing no one came back! I think Poway store location needs to check their employees for having looong breaks. I have errands to do , i will not come back here anymore. Idk where they heck they went. read more

Went I to find out about an early (2 week upgrade). As im grandfathered into an unlimited plan of course I expect to get the pitch for a new plan (that of course gives me less stuff for $35/month womp womppppp. Now of course these employees are on corporate standards so give them a break. Just tried to call the store in Poway for questions.....? It's 10am Friday, 18 July 14. No one picked up? Called AT&T directly. Exhausting automated service. Finally got in touch with the MANAGER at 252 Broadway, San Diego. She explained that she didn't have the number to the Poway location. How is that possible???? It's your company! Then she said that she would call me back with the number. It's two hours later......? Nothing. Either way, I'm done. Time to go with a service that treats it's customers a little better than that. Why is it so difficult to reach a store directly? If you call AT&T 's 800 number you get an endless automated system. Pack a lunch! I don't know about you but I don't have the time. Overall, I wouldn't rate them as the best cell service. (my opinion) You judge for yourself. My contract is up and I'm going elsewhere. Amber was a great help. She was very knowledgeable about the products that AT&T provided. My boyfriend and I went into the store wanting a quick and easy addition to my line. Amber was able to give that to us and we left satisfied. We were honestly going to leave AT&T for Sprint. But just because she knew so much about the products and understood our concerns we stayed and continued on being members of AT&T. I've had AT&T since it was Cingular so I've been a customer for a long time, I'm glad that I stayed with them. Thank you Amber, I have never felt more welcome at any of your locations. read more

Staff is very friendly, but I'm not happy with the time it takes to get things done. I ordered my phone and it took over a week to get it.... To the store. The people are very nice but didn't seemed very confident in what they were doing. There was one employee who seemed to put effort in but I still didn't see results. I'm so frustrated. I paid for my phone and nobody seems to know what their doing. :-( ugh. My phone three months later still doesn't work right with storage and I am too afraid to go back and have nothing fixed. I have been an AT&T cellular customer since 2007. 22 June: I called and asked about a 'no service' problem my iPhone was having. I was advised to come in a swap out the SIM card, that should fix it. I drove over there. Amber was there and told me she was helping another customer and it would be an hour. Uh, you can't swap out my SIM card (5 minute job)? No, I gotta reprogram this guy's...yadayadayada. Ever hear of prioritizing or multi-tasking? 23 June: I called over, again asking about getting the SIM swapped out. "There are two customers here. It will be an hour wait." I called back 30 minutes later "There are 6 customers here, the wait is now 3 hours". AT&T: Why do you have stores if they cannot service existing clients? Why don't you take appointments? Honestly, this place feels like the DMV. In my experience, employees will perform at whatever level the bar is set at by management. Hands down the best AT&T retail experience we've had. It seems these days that most employees are more concerned with selling to you rather than listening to you but that was not the case here. Amir was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of our questions and even helped us to get a better plan for only $1 more than we were paying. Everything went so smoothly and we enjoyed chatting with Amir and his coworker Rondell. Just went to the store and got there at 7pm and the lights were off but a guy and a girl were inside; they were supposed to close at 8pm; I was there exactly at 7pm. The guy inside saw me but ignored me; then I knocked the glass door, he looked at me and ignore me like he didn't care. He didn't even approach to the door to at least say "sorry we're closing early today" instead he ignored me and continue being on the phone while the other girl was standing by one of the doors inside. read more

Just got off the phone with a manager at AT&T in Poway about a billing on my phone. When I bought my new mobile phone, they didn't have it in stock, so it had to be ordered. As the "manager" had to order the phone and have it shipped to me, she said she'd waive the activation fee. I did get the phone fine, but was later billed for the fee. I called AT&T customer service and they said I had to call the store where I bought it, so I did. The guy I talked to said he couldn't help me and I had talked to a manager who was out to lunch already, and this is 10:00 am. The guy I talked to said he'd leave her a message to call me as soon as she got back from lunch. That was over a week ago. I called back today and got a manager. She was no help and said the fee is always applied, even after I told the circumstances. I said, I was promised the fee would be waived due to the phone not being in and it had to be mailed to me. She wouldn't help, then HUNG UP on me! I had to call the customer service department again, told her the problem. She did apologize and credited me the fee. Don't go to this store, they lie and don't return calls. Worse yet they don't have any customer skills. Really hanging up on a customer??? read more

Excellent customer service from Robert! He was very helpful and took great care of me.

My husband and I walked into this location and we were told about 4 times "we will be with you shortly" by the same guy within the first minute that we were in the store. Then we waited for 30 minutes without anyone addressing us. No one said how long it would be, they were just focused on the tasks right in front of them. Generally I would expect someone in customer service to greet a customer with a smile and let them know it'll be a little wait, but they essentially ignored us. Went there and sat for about 30 minutes waiting for someone to open the doors. It's 2PM on a Sunday and the doors clearly state they are open from 11AM-6PM on Sundays and the doors are locked, no one is in the store but everything is on including the TV. There is no "out to lunch." Type sign on any windows. And I called twice and no answer both times. Bad business. read more

I purchased an iPhone 8 and new iPad and accessories right before Christmas. My husband didn't want the iPad. I tried to return it to another AT&T Store and they said they were "corporate" and couldn't take back an Ipad purchased from an 'Authorized Retailer". So I finally made it to the Poway store, and he said, sorry, you are 1 day late. You had to return it within 14 days. I asked to talk to his manager to at least exchange it for one I wanted. He said his manager would call me by 5:00 that day. Never heard back from him or his Manager. Now that is horrible customer management, and just plain bad business. read more
