I called this Cricket location in Mira Mesa because of high customer rating at YELP after calling several Cricket location close to me. I spoke with Siary because I have a new Motorola phone that I bought at Cricket but the camera keeps shutting down when I am trying to take a picture. I have been a loyal Cricket customer and have upgraded my phone several times from Cricket. I am generally happy with my Cricket phone and prefer android until I started having problem with the camera when it keep shutting down while I was trying to take a picture. I indicated to Siery the issue I was having with my phone & asked if I can bring my cell phone for her to take a look. She seems very nice, courteous and politely respond that I can bring my phone in but she does not think she can help me rather she said I can buy a phone upgrade since they have a sale going on. I have called many Cricket around near my location in San Diego area and ones I spoke to seems does not know how to help to fix rather more interested for me to buy an upgrade because they have a sale. I am not tech savvy. I used to take Samsung I bought from Cricket when I have problem to the Cricket store where I bought it from. Its too bad that the guy at that Cricket where I bought my phone- no longer works there. He was knowledgeable about fixing Cricket phone without pushing me to buy a new phone. I have switched to Cricket from Verizon since 2019 and have upgraded and bought phones from Cricket. I remained as a Cricket customer and even recommended to my family and friends because of the reasonable cost of a plan, and availability of someone in Cricket store to fix the phone when I have issues. It is my hope that I can stay as a Cricket customer because I like the reasonable cost of my plan. But at this time, I am thinking about giving up on Cricket when no one in their staff in all the Cricket store that I called around me in San Diego area knows how to fix the phone I bought from them & some even told me to take it to cell phone repair because they do not know how to fix. I hope Cricket franchise store owners when hiring, hire someone that knows technology and can fix the phone that they are selling if something goes wrong. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Needless to say, we didn't end up purchasing anything with Cricket. My friend and I (two younger women) entered the store today, and the lady at the desk was occupied with another costumer. While waiting, a tall man (wish I had gotten his name) in the back came out, asked how he could help. Pretty quickly into the conversation, my friend asked about the pricing of the plan he was offering us, and he became rude and defensive. Further into our conversation, as we asked more questions, he said this "You both work at {Telecom Company}, so really, you should know this...?" in the most condescending way possible. It actually shocked me so much I became silent. 1) That is a rude thing to say to any customer, 2) We actually did know what we were talking about which is why we had such pointed questions, and 3) We didn't offer up information about where we worked? Which means he looked at our badges around our waist to make that snide comment. So inappropriate. I mean, forget about Cricket's deals -- at the end of this conversation I was just determined not to give Cricket or this man any of our business. read more

Went in today to upgrade my cell phone. Saory took care of me. She was alone and was great at taking care of everyone with positive communication to everyone. This is the worst technology store that I have ever dealt with. A simple phone/sim card activation took estimated one hour, and then the rep left the data on with a phone that I am unfamiliar with, when i told him to be sure that the data was off before giving me back the phone. He disregarded this and told me that the data was off. Hours later I found that it was still on and that it had used up, in a few hours, a tremendous amount of data due to how he left it despite his representation to me, Again, I was not familiar with the phone. In calling the store today, I got another rude rep who hung up on me after arguing with me about this. I regret getting involved with this company and will likely be returning the phone and ending the service. read more

I'm not tech-savvy, so I'm always rather intimidated by stores like this. My current (and first) smart phone was several years old, so I needed to replace it. Because my budget and tech aptitude is low, I wasn't going to spend very much money on a new phone. After a little bit of research at home, I'd narrowed down what I wanted to buy and saw that Cricket Wireless had the phone (Samsung Grand Prime) for a good price - on sale and with a low-cost plan! The store manager, Jason, was very polite, respectful and personable. I told him which item and plan I wanted and he didn't try to up-sell anything to me. Having worked in retail in the past, I know that that's a big thing in the industry - so I was grateful he didn't waste my time by telling me all about other products and plans (and possibly confusing me). He transferred my contacts, photos & apps from my old phone to my new one and got me squared away on a new, low-cost plan. He told me to come back if I needed any further assistance -- and I did when I discovered that half of my contacts didn't get transferred for some reason. Again, he quickly attended to my request to fix the issue, along with one of his team members, Daniella (sp?). A few days later, I discovered that the camera on the new phone wouldn't work. So, again, I went back to the store for help. Daniella was there and fixed the problem in minutes. She was also very polite and personable. After she took care of that, I purchased a cover for the phone. In addition to giving me a discount on it, she put the screen protector that came with the cover on my phone for me without my asking her to, as well as the cover. Each visit to this store was fast and efficient. I highly recommend going to this store. read more

Worst place/owner/staff ever. My wife had her ZTE phone for 3 months for some unknown reason. It stopped working and we couldn't ever get in touch with the cricket customer service in 2 weeks. The manager refused any refund/swap to resolve the problem. They just kept giving us the run around. My wife has a major medical issue and requires her phone. This added more stress and arrived her condition. Worst experience ever. STAY AWAY. IT'S A CHOP SHOP. THEY JUST SELL THE PHONES AND THEN YOUR ON YOUR OWN FOR ANY KIND OF ISSUE. On Black Friday they were having a special that you get $100 credit if you port your service over from another provider. So...I decided to port my son's phone line from AT&T to Cricket. So the employee explained to me how the $100 credit was going to work, and I was like "Cool!" One month later (still under the impression that we didn't have to pay since we were told we had $100 credit towards the bill) - my son gets a text to pay his bill. We go back to the Cricket store, then the employee basically says "Ooops, you don't qualify for the $100 credit because you ported over from AT&T and they bought us out. Sorry I didn't know at the time when I told you". Another employee chimes in "yea why give credit if you're basically porting over to the same company". They apologized, I kept my composure as I paid my son's phone bill - despite the fact that I was not informed of this in the first place. Then not too long after I get a bill from AT&T with a huge termination fee for porting my son's phone line over to CRICKET. Information that was not indulged to me by any of the CRICKET employees despite the fact that one of their employees stated "yea why give credit if you're basically porting over to the same company" - SO WHY THEN...AM I HAVING TO PAY A TERMINATION FEE IF I AM PORTING OVER TO THE SAME COMPANY??? First time doing the port over, pretty horrible experience. The customer service is good tho when you initially come here, but then when something like this happens to you...they're basically like "oops, my bad." Frustrating to say the least. Prices are cheap tho, I'll give them that. But I wish they would give you a bit more accurate information and additional information if you're going to get slapped with termination fees for porting over and not telling that you qualify for one of their specials only to find out "oops no you don't. My bad, and i will do nothing to fix my fuck up" So with that said...if you are an AT&T customer, you will get slapped with a Termination Fee even tho you are porting over to Cricket, even tho AT&T bought Cricket out. The termination fee is about $145-$200 per phone line. BUT if you do decide to come to this location, I would suggest to ask for Jason - for him I would give a 5 Star rating for customer service. I just wish I had went to him first instead of getting assisted by another employee there. Long story Longer.....contacted AT&T and they were able to help resolve this issue. We ended up porting back my son's phone back to AT&T and they gave me a great deal on saving money for porting his line back to AT&T. read more

If you have Cricket, I would recommend this store over any others. My 16 year old son got a used Galaxy Note 2 from his Grandma. He has Cricket service but his original phone broke from dropping it one too many times, so we went in to see if they will transfer his account to the Galaxy Note. Queenie and Tatiana and their colleague, were working and I am so glad they were there! Not only did they work on this problem phone, they also consulted a colleague, Hugo, who was quick and efficient in resolving the issue and getting the phone to work perfectly with Cricket service! They all went above and beyond to help us out. Keep in mind, this wasn't even a phone that we purchased from their store! You can bet that when we make our next phone purchase, this is where we will go! If you are really serious about getting great customer service, go to this store. read more

Avoid this store and save money by transacting with Cricket online. Per Cricket policies, in-store $10 SIM card purchases require in-store activation at $25 each, while online activation is free for SIM cards purchased online or at other retailers. Regretfully, I was not informed of this cost saving option when I visited the store, only learning of it after the fact. Arash K and his boss Omar Alghazali even played nice and gave me a 50% discount on 1 of my 2 SIM card activations, so I was only overcharged $37.50 instead of the regular $50. You can buy the same $10 universal SIM card activation kit at the Target next door, or Best Buy down the road, and activate online to avoid the unnecessary fees. read more

8155 Mira Mesa, San Diego store... They cheat their customers! I spent almost $1000 in this store. They sold me a case that did not work with my phone because I had to take it apart to charge it. I tried to take it back and was told all sales were final, which was not told to me before I bought it. Why isn't there a sign? Was told I could talk to a manager the next day, she would be in at 10. Didn't bother to tell me the store didn't open until 11...thanks for wasting my time on vacation. Assistant manager wouldn't give me her name and acknowledged that they have problems with these cases and still refused to refund me. She said it says it on the receipt...what good does that do if I get the receipt AFTER I BOUGHT IT? They also didn't tell me they were charging me $7 a month for protection. I gave them 2 chances to make this right, but they would rather have an upset and dissatisfied customer over a few percent of the sale. Buyer beware. read more

I always buy my next phone in this store, I don't care if it's unlocked or not, I am a customer for some time now and I get nice discount on relatively new phones. Before, I had no complaints, but now, it looks like this sore has new management, and I was not happy at all. First they insisted that I log into my cricket account to be eligible for discount, I never used my account, and discount were displayed in the store. So I had to recover my log in information that I never used before and that took some time. Then they try to sell me $45 phone case that I didn't wad but they said it was included in price. That was wrong, it wasn't. After that assistant manager said she will remove insurance charge from my account but I must pay phone insurance for one month. She never did. I came back to ask to remove it twice, she says its ben taken care of, but the charge was still there. Last time I went there asked to talk to manager, he wasn't there and she tried to explain how she remembers that I didn't have time to wait for here to remove that charge. Both manager and his assistant showed little will to help me get what I want. Some people are just not good in customer service. I wish that changes in this store. Their incompetence cost me so much time and nerves. read more

I am dumbfounded with the lack of customer service, basic courtesy and professionalism that I received from a manager named Jorge at this location. He is apparently the manager with the employees at the 9480 Mira Mesa Boulevard Cricket Wireless kiosk where I had purchased a phone Alcatel Idol 3 One Touch. This phone was horrible it was absolutely horrible I just did an upgrade on it and I can't even use my camera the processor is supposed to be in Octo and it is slower than my Samsung was I was sold on another Samsung but when I went to purchase he said they were out of stock so long story short I wanted to return this phone they have a seven day return policy it was from like a Wednesday to a Wednesday and I went by it on a Sunday and they had closed earlier than their normal hours I was unaware of that I work very long hours and sometimes it's very difficult for me to get to places before they close show on my last day of my seven days I called the kiosk number and I told the guy it was about 10 to 8 I asked her if she could wait for me I was on my way because I wanted to return my phone within the seven days she said that she would wait a few minutes afterwards my car was not running well so I decided to call her back and tell her so that she wouldn't be held up and I wouldn't burn my car up trying to make it there so quickly I wanted to give her my information and get her managers number so I could call and explain the situation to him. Talk to a girl I think her name was quinley at the kiosk and she gave me George the manager phone number at the other location at this location she said I could call him and try talking to him and explain the situation and that my information could possibly be taken down so that I can return the phone in the morning. I called this location and George answered and I very politely explain the situation to him I told him I had to stop by the kiosk on Sunday but they have closed early and then I worked really long hours and it was hard for me to get to the place before they close but this was my seventh day and I wanted to make sure to return my phone he first of all ask me what kind of phone I had and proceeded to tell me that that was a great phone that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the phone and I absolutely positively contrary to that statement there is something wrong with this phone it is not it takes twice as long to open up apps as my Samsung and it's supposed to be a much better phone so that was the first reaction I got was that I was wrong in thinking that this phone was not working for me I asked him if he could take down my information because I would like to come by in the morning to do the return unless he was willing to wait 10 minutes for me he said that he absolutely could not do that that today was the seventh day and the system when you let him do anything past today and I said you are you serious is there not any other solution that we could come up with you know I can be over there shortly but I have a really hard time because I work so hard and long to get to places before they close obviously I was trying to the same really unprofessional Kurt reply saying that no the seven days was over and that was it he would get in trouble if he did anything in the morning and then I said well can I talk to you and get the phone number of your supervisor or your manager and he says no I am the manager of this store and the kiosk and I said okay then how can you get in trouble who who would get you in trouble for doing something he says all the people above me and I said well can I get their phone number and he said there's no phone number to call Lady you can't return your phone and I said you don't have a retention department for Cricket and he was silence he didn't know what to say he said you can't return your phone the seven days is up today and I said I'm really unhappy with this phone I don't want this phone I'm calling to see if you could write down my invoice number if we can work something out because I can't make it over there and he said very rudely and very impolitely "you know what I don't know why you would wait until the last hour to try to return your phone, I mean why would you do that if you really wanted to return your phone," I really couldn't believe that he said that to me and I reminded him that I had tried to go by on Sunday but they have closed early and I said I didn't appreciate that statement because I am a hard-working single mom, and at that point I just hung up the phone, I think it was one of the rudest most unprofessional ways I've ever been treated at any place of business ever I was almost in tears when I hung up the phone because I was stunned, I was trying to get a resolution to a problem that I was extremely unhappy with, and he never offered acknowledgement of my dissatisfaction or offered any kind of resolution or suggestions for resolution during our conversation. read more

Came to this place to get a new case for my phone and I got a wallet type one but when I got to the car realized it would not fit the mount for the phone. When back to the store and denied return or refund. Stating that it is written in the receipt that accessories sales are final. I try to reason with this joke of a manager that they can't not do that, When no where in the store that is posted, not a single sign. Only after you buy, you can see it in the receipt. Beyond pleased with this phone carrier service and the young lady who helped me with my plan. They have reasonable prices and were able to disconnect my service with verizon for me. I AM DONE WITH CRICKET!!! I got into a car accident the other day and thank God I was fine because when I called 911 to report the accident it didnt go through, 6 calls didnt go through! Tried to call my Husband call went straight to voicemail. All my other calls went through, except to 911. Thank God it wasnt a hit a run because the person was nice enough to call the cops. I called to tell cricket my problem and they didnt do anything but a report when I told them I was leaving after 4 years. Not even a discount. When I worked for amazon we alway tried to make right with our customers. If I cant call 911 thats a serious problem. Good bye and good riddance. Crappy service so dont even bother with them. Update I also posted on ther page the same comment above and they replied then deleted my comment and made it so i could nor comment on any there post. Meanwhile there are still negative post still posted to the page but because my was life threatning they deleted mine. These guys are really good. Ask for George. He was really helpfully in porting my number from AT&T. We had some issues which he helped resolve with ease. These guys charge $25 to activate the connection which is $15 more than buying a sim card from a shop and activating the connection yourself. If you buy a sim card you will pay $10, but there is no activation charge. These guys don't charge for sim card, but charges $25 for activation. I still feel it is worth the extra money. read more
