My name is Javier Mendoza. My account number is 418005855253.
I hope you are having a better Monday than I because what I'm about to type is my horrible experience with AT&T. I don't expect anything after what happened to me, but yet, I want you to know the type of service I've been receiving.
I have been a loyal customer of AT&T since 2008. I originally called AT&T on March 21st to let them know I needed to replace my iPhone 6+ because of damage. AT&T connected me with the "insurance company". I was told by the insurance company I was going to receive a replacement phone (not a new one but a replacement) and I had to pay "only" $100 for a replacement iPhone 6+.
A replacement phone was delivered to my house on March 23. After several hours of backing ups, updates, etc, this replacement phone did not work properly! I called AT&T the next day and after being on the phone for over an hour I was connected with the insurance company. I explained the situation about the "replacement phone" and the person decided to mail yet another "replacement phone".
On March 25, I received a FedEx email notification indicating this second replacement phone was delivered to my home... yet there was nothing in my mailbox! I decided to call AT&T to let them know. After another hour on the phone, the customer service representative from the insurance company decided to claim the second phone as stolen and ship a third replacement phone to my office.
The following evening (March 26) the second phone surprisingly appeared in my mailbox so I soon had my original damaged phone, the first replacement that did not work properly as well the second & third replacement phones. I honestly thought I would get a new phone after all this hassle but that was not the case.
I decided to mail to AT&T my original phone along with the first & third replacement phones. I kept the second replacement phone because it was working fine so why bother opening the 3rd replacement phone, right? Later that evening I called AT&T to transfer my phone number to this second replacement phone which they were able to do.
The next morning I had no phone service. I went to the AT&T Store at 1518 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington D.C. David Lage (Sales Consultant) was able to help me re-store the service on my phone. After two hours of having service, my phone line was cut off again. Wednesday evening I called AT&T as your AT&T Store was closed by the time I realized I did not have service again. After yet another hour over the phone, I was connected to the fraud department because my phone was reported stolen by the insurance company. They had to unblock my phone and create a case number which could take 24-48 hours to get resolved. At this point I had no phone service for 48 hours (missing several meetings, appointments, etc.) and decided to go back to the AT&T store.
On March 31, Marlon Braxton (Retail Sales Consultant) helped me out. Marlon spoke with an "internal department" (his words) and after giving him my ID (driver license) he said I needed to wait 2 hours, turn the phone off and back on and I'll have service again. I waited 2, 4, 6 hours with still no phone service but it was now too late as the store was closed.
On Saturday April 1st I went to work and decided to call AT&T to let them know again about my problem. After been on the phone for 1.5 hours with Customer Service and then the fraud department, I was told I was not Javier Mendoza and my account was suspended!!! Really?!?!? At this point I did not know what to do so I decided to again stop by the AT&T store. Marlon again helped me to restore my phone service.
I went home that evening yet after two hours my service was again cut off, but now my partner's phone service was also cut due to "Fraud"... yet he had nothing to do with my phone issues. Of course at this point I could not go back to the store because it was already closed.
I went back to the AT&T store on Sunday April 2 with my partner and David Lage assisted us. He told me I had to call the fraud department because there were notes on my account. I called the fraud department while in the store and after an hour the fraud department was able to re-install the service for both phones. We went home and after two hours my service was cut AGAIN. Absolutely inexcusable. At this point AT&T has lost all credibility with me and my partner.
First thing this morning (Monday, April 3) I went back to the AT&T Store. Marlon Braxton was "shocked" I didn't have a phone line. He called again the "internal line" and after 30 minutes I had service again. "Great".... not really, after two hours, I had no service again. You tell me what should I do now?
