This is by far the cleanest and prettiest nail salon I've been to in Portland. The service was excellent and I felt comfortable and taken care of the entire time. I cannot wait to come back and try a pedicure. The pedicure stations were gorgeous and again, the entire shop was immaculate. Each nail station had a vent that suctioned up any toxic fumes. The person that did my nails was such a professional. I got a fill for my acrylic nails. He did them quickly and shaped them perfectly. He also made them thin and not clunky. I wanted to to like this place more than I did... *Maybe* I'll give it a second chance, but my first experience was mediocre. The good: * The space itself is large and nice. The massage chairs are better than most. * The price. Though they didn't give me a price menu, a pedi turned out to be $20 due to a special they were having. * The cleanliness of the space is nice too * The massage was good The bad: * It's right on Holgate and 99, and when I went during rush hour, the doors were open and the traffic was SO loud. * When I got there, a customer was leaving, but then walked right back in, saying her polish had already chipped (foreshadowing...) * The polish selection was bad. It took me a good 5 minutes to choose. They had mainly dark/fall colors, and many of the bottles looked half empty. * They only let me sit for about 10 minutes to dry, despite the place being empty. It was still an hour till close. I walked out, got ALMOST to my car, and saw I had already chipped a nail! The paint wasn't dry! * They nicely redid the nail, but then added too many coats to it, and a couple other random spots, that I ended up with the left side being darker than the right. At that point I was done, and just went home, and took it all off with nail polish remover. read more

I like this place a lot. Tammy is patient and kind. The salon is pristine. I mean immaculate. I also like that she uses reusable cloth towels instead of paper towels. There's even a chandelier. I get acrylics so this is a review on those. I am particular about the shape of my nails and she's patient with me about that. I appreciate how much she focuses on the details of what I want. She shapes them perfectly. They're just the way I want them. She ends with a hand massage and oil. Feels and smells divine. I will say there have been a couple times where I wasn't 100% happy with the way the polish looked afterwards. There was a time where it dried up with a couple of bubbles. Unnoticeable to everyone else except me. I'm pretty OCD about my nails. You get what you pay for and for 30 bucks I feel like it's a fairly solid deal. So very impressed with this nail salon! Very clean, well maintained and inviting. I haven't had my nails done in months and was in dire need of a me-day. This salon totally hit the mark! It is run by a very sweet married couple and they totally took their time to make sure every step was done well and that my experience was relaxing and what I wanted. Also love how the pedi's come with a paraffin wax treatment, which costs extra pretty much everywhere else. I also did a shellac manicure and all 10 nails came out perfectly. Linda is a kind and generous nail tech, and the other gal in there is friendly and just the right amount of chatty. Both times I've gone here they have accommodated me with an appointment, and felt like above and beyond most places on the massage. Prices are reasonable, pretty consistent with all other places. The infection I received from this salon took two months to heal, three rounds of antibiotics and multiple doctor visits. Thank goodness I have decent health insurance but even with that I was out over $100 in co-pays. I am just thankful that I did not end up losing a toe! read more

I just moved to Portland, and I was searching so long for a new nail place to go to. I've been to At Nails twice and I decided that this is my go-to nail salon! It is so clean inside and everyone is so friendly!! I was greeted immediately when I walked in and was asked if I wanted anything to drink. I got a dip powder manicure and it is the best one I've ever gotten, it looks amazing. My nails are filed into a beautiful shape and the dip has no bubbles or bumps in it. So flawless!! I also think it is priced reasonably for how much time they take to perfect your nails. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new go-to nail salon! read more

We went on Labor day and Tammy was the only one working. That was ok because we were the only customers. Her English is a bit limited but she was super friendly and conversational. I got a Delux Pedicure. It was worth every penny. She took her time and did a great job. This establishment is only a couple years old and still looks brand new. I highly recommend it. read more

Good place, smelled and looked clean which was nice. It seemed like there was only one woman doing most of the work (waxing, acrylics, and greeting/answering the phones). It took a little longer than I would have liked because of this. She was extremely nice and friendly and was good at conversations. I did ask that she just make the end of my nails more square (I have coffin shaped acrylics but the last place I went to made them more almond shape) and I think she misunderstood and made them square. At first I thought it was going to be amazing. My business was just relocated so I thought I'd try someplace new, and I was on my lunch break so no line was fabulous. The shop is incredibly clean. I came in for a fill on my overlay (natural nails with acrylic over top). They didn't have the white clear powder that I normally use, but dude convinced me that the light pink was more natural and "wouldn't peel up as fast" as the other powder my normal shop uses. He said that he could tell the powder they used was "not good" and "cheap". So I said ok. Hindsight, I should've walked away right then. My nails are super super thick way thicker than I'm used to, I can tell its pink and not clear. AND to top it off they started peeling within an hour. AN HOUR! So. I won't go back. I'll have to suck up the $20 I spent for a fill plus the tip I left, and pay my normal shop another $20 to fix this mess. Take a look at the pictures for yourself. read more

The ladies and gentlemen are always so friendly and professional which is hard to find with most nail salons. I also love how clean and sanitary this nail salon is. I have never been in a salon so clean and I love it! I'm also licensed in nails so I know how clean everything is supposed to be and they follow oregon Santi laws to a T! The service is also always so relaxing they honestly give the best long massages and the massage chairs feel amazing after a long work week. I did a walk in for a gel manicure and a pedicure last week and it was a great experience! They were able to see me right away. It was clean, affordable, and professional. They took their time and my nails looked great. Also, they have a gel color that changes color with the temp! Kind of a purple when cold and red when it is warm. I gave this place a second chance because one of my friends likes it. I went a year or so ago and ended up with a poorly done shellac manicure (uneven coats, polish on my fingers, ragged edges). I went back in today, and .... it's a crappy manicure. It was incredibly rushed. She didn't get the old polish off the sides of my nails, the coats of polish are uneven (leaving two fingers looking "clubbed" because of the big blob of polish on the ends). The edge of my nails are rough and ragged. It's a really bad manicure. I had a pedicure after. The actual pedicure/massage was fine. The polish itself looks like I did it myself in low light with a shaky hand. Lots of polish on the skin around the nails, tops of a few nails don't have polish on them. I'm super annoyed, and won't go back again. $60 and an afternoon wasted. I'm going back to my regular nail place this afternoon for a do-over. read more

This place was really clean (the only pro) which is why I actually decided to venture out from my usual go to place that has been going downhill. There were only 2 nail techs working but only one other client when I arrived so I didn't think it would be an issue. I asked for a shellac and they said they could do it. My manicure was the most rushed manicure I have ever received. She didn't even file my nails! The end result was uneven shaped nails, polish on my skin and my previous regular (non shellac) polish still showing on the sides of my nails because she didn't get it all off and didn't take the shellac all the way to the sides of my nails. In summary - go elsewhere, I know it's not super expensive but come on...if you don't have the time to give me a decent manicure then just tell me you don't have the time! read more

I got the hot rocks, paraffin wax, salt scrub, cooling mask, callous/cuticle care & an awesome long foot massage for only $40!!!!! Awesome deal & worth every penny! Then Tammy did a fill on my nails and did a beautiful job! The salon is beautiful & very clean and tidy.
