I want to start this review off by saying that it was their grand re opening, so I don't expect everything to be perfect. However as we were walking into the building a family told us to not waste our time because "the service was terrible". This in fact wasn't the problem with our experience, Allie was a great server and anything she couldn't provide wasn't her fault. The food on the other hand was mediocre at best, the egg shown in exhibit A is just raw and that is after we sent it back because it was even more raw than that, the Cuban just speaks for it self. The main issue with our visit was our food wasn't great, it was because a group of influencers behind us had the best looking food in town, everything was packed full colorful and honestly looked very delicious. I am very disappointed Tik tokers had a better experience than regular people who keep the place open. If you're going to treat certain regular customers differently than influencers I don't want to dine at that establishment. Allie thank you! I feel as this is a place to dine if you're ready to rumble or argue. Not great for first timers only come if you're forced. The eggs Benedict had eggs just a tad overcooked, the yolks were half solid and half runny and the eggs and hollandaise needed seasoning. Meanwhile the potatoes were overwhelmingly seasoned. I'm a garlic lover but this was a lot even for me. My friend had the grits and said they were lacking seasoning too. But she said the gravy for the biscuits was in point. This is my family's go-to breakfast spot that's relaxed and not full of frills. It's mostly locals and and the staff are very welcoming. I love their pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and chicken and waffles. Normally the pancakes and waffles comes with powdered sugar and whipped cream which I always opt out of. There are many pancake flavors but their Buttermilk pancakes truly taste like that good ol' fashioned southern butter. This is a hard rating! My food was decent but my husband didn't like his omelette, he said the eggs weren't cooked enough. I think the best part was the coffee, they make a great traditional diner coffee and the portions are huge. The service was not slow at all but the waitress was very... odd. We could tell she did not love her job because she had an overwhelming fake enthusiasm. It sounds like I am being a Karen but her smile with drain from her face before she left the table and at the end she dropped the check and just shook her head and walked off and we never asked for anything crazy I promise. I don't normally give less than 3 stars unless I truly feel like there is something a place can improve upon. We called in advance to see how long the wait was and they said it was about 1.5 hours. We headed over right away because they don't take call aheads. The host said it would be about an hour wait so we told our friends not to rush and that they could meet us after they called our name. We ended up heading over to Dunkin' to get coffee and an appetizer lol. We had just got our coffee 10 minutes later when we got a text saying our table was ready. I mean, I'm not complaining. We called our friends and told them to come right away and rushed in to get our table. When we got there we told the host we were ready and she asked if our entire party was there. Of course they were not and with traffic, they were probably 30 minutes away. She said she could only seat us if we were all there OR if we ordered for them. I was overwhelmed and said of course we could order for them. I mean, I get it, they have others waiting too. I sat down and the host told me I couldn't have my coffee from Dunkin' in the restaurant and that I would have to throw it away or give up my table to drink it outside. I felt embarrassed because of course I wouldn't have got coffee had I known our table was going to be ready so fast. We waited outside because we didn't want our friends to feel rushed into ordering. They ended up not being able to come so we threw our coffee away and just ended up getting seated right away. The food was good, the server Hannah was awesome, and the mimosa was wonderful, but the host was very rude and made our experience not so fun. First impressions are everything. I had the Benny , which is the eggs Benedict with bacon, avocado, tomato, etc, on an English muffin, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the sauce was decadent. Highly recommend! Came in early July 4th for breakfast. No wait we were seating quickly by the hostess. Wasn't full however by the time we left it was getting packed. Setup is nice and they have an outside seating space as well. Our waiter was very nice and answered all of our questions and gave suggestions related to our questions. Added an egg to the chicken biscuits and gravy which was a huge serving. Came out hot the chicken and gravy was a great mix and the taste complimented each other. Really enjoyed it had plenty to take home. The pancakes were really good! The amount of topping was good, you get down to the bottom one there was still crème and Nutella to put on it. Short stack is 4 pancakes. Create your own was good. Hubby said the portion was good for him. The plate had several pieces of bacon and the potatoes were his favorite part of the meal. Food was alright at best. Multiple orders came out with errors which wasn't the end of the world but to argue about what was said versus what came out is ridiculous. Friendly and quick service. We've been here several times during Covid and never had a complaint. We often sit at the counter, where most people don't like to sit, but we love it. The menu is the same at both locations. Omelettes, eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, Benedicts, fried chicken sliders between waffles; and they have lunch options too. I have never tried their lunch because I go there for Brunch, so I'll have to switch it up. They have two locations, the first being in busy International Drive area, so they definitely get more foot traffic. This location is still fairly new, located in a nice strip mall near a few eateries. We even brought my parents, (who live far) and they loved the decor, outdoor seating, food, and the cool potato choices. This location is not as busy and the food is equally delicious. Starting off with the positives, the service was outstanding! Unfortunately I don't remember her name, but our waitress was wonderful. She was very attentive and charismatic. I ordered the veggie omelet with cheddar cheese, but the first go around the kitchen overcooked it so she asked them to remake it. Mistakes happen and I'm glad she took the time to ask them to remake it! The portions were very solid. The highlight of the meal was the omelet, which contained tomatoes, spinach, onions, mushrooms, and American cheese. I ordered it with cheddar, but I think the kitchen forgot about this when they remade it. It would've been better with Cheddar. Although I'm not a fan of American cheese, I still enjoyed the omelet. Nice fluffy texture. Very dense. The potatoes and English muffin, however, were a bit of a let down. They weren't warm and were both bland. I think they may have been sitting out while my omelet was remade. Regardless, breakfast potatoes are a make or break component of diners for me. The biggest let down here was the coffee. It was incredibly watered down and bland. I'm used to average coffee at diners, but this was below that standard I'm afraid. Would I go out of my way to eat here again? Probably not. With places like First Watch and Kekes in the area I'd likely defer to those. However, if I ended up back here I wouldn't be mad at all. read more

We happened to be in the area and very hungry. We were very happy to see the word diner. We went in and we felt a very diner like vibe which is a good thing. Our waitress Chrissy greeted us with a nice big smile and she continued to deliver great service throughout our dining experience. Hubby has the meat lovers omelet, which consisted of Italian sausage, bacon, ham and white American cheese. It was huge and very feeling. My oldest son has the grilled steak and eggs meal, served with potatoes and toast. My youngest had the chocolate chip pancakes, which were infused and topped with chocolate chips, sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream. It looked delicious to be honest, but I had to concentrate on my bacon, egg & cheese toasted bagel, served with house potatoes. It was absolutely amazing. The place is really cute inside loved the photos they had - food was great unfortunately the drinks were not. Our soda was very flat, the waiter took a very long time bringing our food out I had to actually get up and ask what was taking so long. My friend wanted a macchiato and unfortunately the machine was broken instead of being told that after she ordered she had to wait for the waiter to come back and tell us for her to get her new drink while we all had ours. I ordered from KeKe's breakfast prior and wish I gave ALL of my monies to The Diner because their food was flavorful , customer service was great and portion size ( no complaints). So for the past 3 weeks I been ordering and it's never an issue. Today 12-13-2023 I did a Ubereats delivery order and I forgot to add a orange juice, so I called and Quay ( I hope I spelled his name correct) went over and beyond for me. Our mood has shifted from being excited about getting brunch on a new place to sorting on our phone to find out if this is an illegal practice in the state of Florida. Upon calling the "manager" we were not offered a discount over this abusive practice and we were told that they would offer a "discount" if paid in cash only. The truth is they are not offering any discount in cash, they're simply increasing the prices on the check by 4% over each menu prices. Merchant fees are a set percentage of a transaction. They do not increase with inflation. I run a business and I do not upcharge my clients on credit card fees. Also, 4% is outrageous. They do not pay that much to Clover. Merchant fees vary from around 2% to a maximum of 3.3%-3.5% on certain Amex transactions. Guess what? This is the cost of doing business. No other places in America practice this surcharge. If you cannot pay merchant fees don't open a restaurant. I went there only once. Will not return due to this abusive practice. Let me set the bar for you. We are religious about KeKe's Breakfasts here in Orlando so to try a new place was totally out on a limb for us. Drove 30 minutes to this location, away from DW chaos and arrive to see the parking lot very empty on a Monday morning. Very nice residential area location- we were skeptical of how the food would be. Greeted and seated by friendly staff; few customers eating and talking. Very clean area as well.
