Fantastic food. Even better service. My go to is the #1 combo. Best French fries in all of Phoenix. Can't go wrong!

I love Athena Pita, and i look forward to eating there every time I charge my car because it's close to an electric car station. They offer such a great variety of Mediterranean dishes at a great cost. The food honestly taste too good for the price but that's just me. The staff is also quite welcoming and attentive. A place I would recommend for Pita and Gyro lovers

Came here the first night they were open late and was treated like family! We got three free deserts and amazing customer service. The food is authentic and delicious this is a must stop for anyone in the phoenix area!!!!

I love this Greek restaurant located in a strip mall facing west on east side of street because the food is actually, to me, remarkable (even the French fries are excellent) and food is prepared fresh after ordering. Portions are big so hub and I generally split a dinner. For example, garlicky chicken shawarma dinner served with flavorful saffron rice, Greek salad with homemade dressing and pita bread. Delicious Hummus very excellent since improving its flavor, gyros in pita bread and/or dinner perfectly prepared. Mustn't forget yummy homemade baklava, a crispy filo pastry with honey and pistachios. You can't go wrong with anything you order and the side of French fries is enough for two to share. I wish Athena would sell Greek fries with feta, tzatziki sauce and fresh dill that I recently tried at another Greek restaurant in Tempe, which was a real taste bud pleaser. Booth and table seating are available though I generally take my meals to go. When entering the restaurant, the lights are dimmed and you're welcomed by all the aromas in the kitchen. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you're unsure about trying a menu item, they will offer you a sample. No pets but service animals allowed and no outdoor seating. Remember to always tip not only because it's the right thing to do but the service industry relies on low wages and tips and it's one of the great way to say thank you. Lastly, shout out to Onella, who's taken my order several times. She makes homemade Dubai chocolate filled with a pistachio paste, gold tops the bar, not the 24K kind. A must try.

Friendly Service with a smile

My daughter turned me onto Athena Pita! Delicious, fresh and even tasty leftovers! Now every time I'm in the area I either stop or am tempted too!

Great service, super helpful staff, and they just started a rewards program last week. I will definitely return just for the pet friendliness and great service alone. The food slaps. So that is amazing too. The only negative is the price but you're definitely paying for quality and flavor, so that's not an issue for me. Edit: the CRISPIEST Greek Fries I have ever had and for that I am naming the best.

A family owned sit-down full service place that is quaint, charming and welcoming. We ate in, but there were more carry out orders going than diners. We went after seeing the other good reviews and, as always, Yelpers usually don't miss. We were quickly welcomed and seated. The menu is straightforward, with a nice mix of Mediterranean foods. We had the Chicago gyros, chicken schwarma, beef kofta, lemon rice soup, tabbouleh salad and fries. All were great, but the fries were outstanding! I've eaten a lot of fried potatoes in my life, and really none better. They rounded out the meal-hot, fresh, crunchy and soft. Perfect! If I had to have a "complaint," the lemon garlic aioli on the schwarma was a bit too much, get that "on the side" so you can manage that. Otherwise a great meal. OPA!

Before a comedy show at Stand Up Live, I stopped by Nick the Greek for a quick dinner. Located in…read morethe heart of downtown Phoenix in the same entertainment complex as Stand Up Live, Chico Malo, and others, parking isn't easy (it is downtown after all). I stopped by on a Sunday around 6:30 p.m. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your standard fast casual experience. Clean, comfortable, and modern. With two rooms with both tables and booths. I sat at a booth. Service (3.5/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. After that, the service experienc eends. Drinks (3/5): Pretty much your standard assortment of soft drinks. Food (3/5): If the name wasn't a giveaway, Nick The Greek serves Greek food. I had the steak kebab which is a new menu item. The kebab consists of steak, lettuce, fries, paprika, onions, and tzatziki. I made it a combo with fries and a drink. Overall, an average meal. A little on the smaller side when it comes to the portion size too. I've had a bunch of excellent kebabs in my day. The food here is a notch or two below that. Not bad by any means, just average. The meat lacked the seasoning and tenderness that would make it an A+ meal. With that being said, if you're looking for a quick meal downtown, Nick the Greek makes for a decent choice.
