But most XS and S sizes were gone, mostly M and L left. I spent over 45 minutes going through the drawers and their chests but only found one XS and literally no S left for the ones I wanted. The whole time, no one came to ask me if they can help me finding what I needed, although some associates were just standing around chatting with each other. The lines weren't too bad at the cash registers so I was able to check out quickly.

I've ordered from here for years, it's hard to find bikini tops in my size and this store is super accommodating with their sizing which is amazing! I came in solely to try on a specific style and size, I had 3 items I wanted to order online and just needed to confirm that the smaller size I was ordering would fit me because the print was so cute! I came in and was helped by who I believe is Irene. This wasn't my first time with her, and she always seems very frazzled. I told her the style and size I needed to try and was given the wrong size. We then found the correct size and I went to try the item on. Afterwards I thanked her for her help and said I would go home and order the 3 bikinis I had saved to my cart. She tells me I should order in store with her because otherwise I'll be charged for shipping. I said really? Even if I order over $300 of items it's going to charge me for shipping? She lied and said yes. I really do not appreciate being lied to by staff especially because it proceeded to take over 20 mins for her to get the items ordered. At the time I believed her so I went on my phone and searched the bikinis I wanted to buy so I could provide item numbers for Irene to order them. She had me read the item numbers as she wrote it down, I also wrote my name and email for her. She then proceeded to incorrectly type everything. She literally could not read her own handwriting and had to ask me what letter she had written down. It got to the point where she asked me to come type it myself for her on the computer. Once I could see her screen I noticed all the issues. Items are in the wrong size, my email is spelled wrong even though I wrote it down for her. I kept telling her it's L-E-X-Y and she keeps typing the letter "i" and then randomly adding a Y to my last name. I cant state how insane this was and how much time was wasted. I only entertained all this because I believed her when she said i would be charged for shipping if I didn't order it in store with her. During our interaction she asked her coworker to come help numerous times and then had me come around the counter and type on her computer for her because she simply couldn't do so...I literally asked the coworker if she could just stay and help finish the transaction because it was taking so long. Coworker looked fed up with Irene too but she would only help for a moment and then leave and Irene would make ME come help her type the info out. Staff really should know what they are doing, the amount of issues we dealt with was unbelievable. She's been working here for years and can't correctly type a single item number or be thoughtful enough to make sure all my personal information is spelled as written. I was so frustrated with this experience that when I got home I added one single item to my cart and as I expected, there was no shipping cost. So Irene fully lied to me in order to trick me into ordering through her, likely so she gets a commission she truly doesn't deserve. Very disappointed and I will make a point to only order online and avoid coming in so I don't have to deal with deceptive staff.

I am not a regular shopper of Madewell but recently bought an item online because I saw it in-person at the store. It didn't work out so I went to Madewell MV and was assisted by Jaidyn M. Hopefully this is the correct young lady because I didn't catch her name at the time but found this name on my emailed receipt. Jaidyn was extremely warm and patient and helped me complete the return. I know we've all been there when making a return at any retailer only to feel like we're bothering them or taking away from their daily revenue goal, which we are lol, but Jaidyn didn't make me feel that way at all. Her pleasant demeaner and quick assistance was greatly appreciated last month (mid-October). Thanks so much, Jaidyn! It's because of you I have started to shop here more often. Keep up good work!

It was very quick, easy, and with excellent service in the men's shoe department. So why 3 stars? I decided to shop for a matching cognac colored dress belt in the men's suit department. There was a blonde girl working and she looked right at me twice and walked away. Just wandering the floor to find a better customer? I picked a beautiful cognac colored magnanni dress belt and took it to the suits department register. Again from across the department she looked directly at me and didn't come to help, she just stood there staring off. Three times she wasn't busy, looked at me, and never offered to help in any way. Pathetic in general and ridiculous for Nordstrom standards. So I quickly walked over to the men's shoe department register, asked them to give Artie credit for the sale (perhaps his day off), and purchased the belt in the shoe department. I purposely dress down when I shop to see who genuinely cares about good customer service. Certainly it was not the blonde in the suits department.

I came in for fun sandals for the summer and ended up getting athletic shoes and custom inserts instead. HAHAHA. They had a good variety of brands like Nike, Adidas, Brooks, HOKA, and Skechers all in one place. The staff was friendly and patient while helping customers look for sizes and explaining different comfort options. Granted it wasn't busy when I went after work but all the staff members came by several times to see if I needed help. That was so nice. I also liked that they carry supportive footwear and shoe orthotics/custom insole options for extra comfort, which is great if you spend a lot of time walking or standing which is what I do for work. Parking was very convenient since the store is located in a shopping center with a large shared parking lot, so finding a spot was easy even during busy hours.

When I returned, I was then told the manager had already left. Since my daughter's size was out of stock, I was told to call the store every Tuesday to check if it became available. What upset me most was when Blain looked at the shoes and said they didn't look like they had been worn for only one day. I offered to show her my receipt proving when I purchased them, but she did not even look at it. Her comment made me feel as though she was questioning my honesty. I understand that products can be defective and sizes can be out of stock. My complaint is about how I was treated when I simply asked for help with a defective product. Customers should be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and very disappointed with the customer service at this new location.

His tone and facial expression clearly implied that he thought we had taken merchandise without asking. The socks were my husband's own socks, and the entire interaction felt rude, condescending, and completely inappropriate. They don't even sell the same brand socks at the store. Rather than providing customer service, the associate made him feel accused and uncomfortable while shopping. Customer service training should include basic professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression.
