One of Atlantic Brewing's excellent beers.

I've been a fan of Atlantic Brewing for years, and their main location is my go-to haunt every summer when I come to town. My time was short this year, but I didn't want to have a summer without a little Atlantic Brewing love. So we popped into the Midtown location for the first time. It was a little rainy, so we sat inside. But it looked like they also have some pretty cool outdoor space for options during better weather. Service was great, and the food offered a little more variety than the BBQ at the main location. Small plates. Different options. A nice change of pace. All on top of their usual excellent beer! So we were so pleased to snack on duck wings and a couple charcuterie boards, which really hit the spot after a day in Acadia and poking around the shops in Bar Harbor.

Definitely an amazing place. They had a discount on lobster rolls on Wednesday and Sunday, and we came on Sunday. I had lobster roll and my husband had fish sandwich. Food was absolutely amazing and with a discount it was even better. It's not a typical brewery with beer and a few snacks. They have a very extensive menu, so you can come here even if you don't drink beer. Service was quick and attentive. Ambiance is very laid back and chill. We definitely had a relaxing afternoon there. Totally recommend.

25$ Sunday lobster roll! Generous amount of lobster. Actually fantastic. Pretzel was barely warm and the beer cheese resembled a salad dressing more than beer cheese. Mustard was great, flavor of the pretzel was great. Flight of beer had my hopes set high. Everything was super hoppy! If that's your thing great-- but calling it a "helles" is a stretch. Blueberry ale was by far the best, mountain hopper a second. Everything else made me wish I didn't do a flight... Salad on the lobster roll was generous. Cheese plate was not. It was supposed to be smoky but the cheese was not very smoky. Blue cheese had brown ooze and light green pockets when I sliced in. Tasted fine, but did not seem very fresh (was chilled).

Some of the friendliest staff I've met in the North East! Great beer selection I enjoyed several of all of them, and would highly recommend the Ellen Coffee Stout if available! This brewery had plenty of space to catch up with friends or hangout, and had plenty of board games to play while enjoying a few brews! Had an early dinner here on a Saturday and although relatively busy seating was still plentiful! Enjoyed the Korean BBQ Duck Wings and the Day's Special Short Rib Sandwich both were delicious and honestly left me wishing the portion of the wings was a little bigger. The Sandwich was good, but still left me a bit hungry (secret tip is to add the extra KBBQ sauce from the wings onto the sandwich... you'll thank me later ). 5 stars even though my food review was slightly negative-ish because it's a brewery not a restaurant. Cheers!

We have went twice in our trip so far because of dreary weather. Beer is good, bartenders are the kindest and we got the jalapeño corn chowder with the pretzel yesterday. CHOWDER WAS BOMB

Great food, great service! We got the panko crusted fish with fries which husband doesn't usually choose since he likes beer battered fish better. However another diner said this was the best fish and fries in town so we took a gamble. It was good. Not great but solid. My husband misunderstood me and while I was in the restroom washing my hands (*cue preparing to eat fries!!*), he ordered the parm truffle fries! Needless to say, it was a LOT of fries!! Lol!! But honestly, Im glad he ordered them because they were the best parm truffle fries I've ever had! Actually shaved parmesan cheese and you could really taste the truffle oil! So freaking good!!! I got a Standard Beer flight - fantastic! Hubby got the blueberry soda which was amazing!! Would definitely come back!

The beer was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly rec their pilsner! Loved the location and there were plenty of places to sit. There are local wine options for those in your group who aren't beer drinkers.

We walked by this place so many times during our stay in Bar Harbor, we had to stop in. We stopped in for a nightcap beer after dinner. I chose the Cadillac Mountain stout to celebrate our climb to the same mountain a few days earlier. Loved the rich taste and flavors that popped. We sat upstairs at the window ledge. While it was dark out, we enjoyed watching the people pass by and seeing all the activity on Cottage Street. Staff was helpful. Good stop.

We went here because of the Blueberry Ale. They had good beer offerings but didn't hit the mark with the food. We ordered the fried duck wings, bratswurst, prosciutto panini, and Thai chicken. The best food option was the bratswurst. The service was very quick and the place is a good place to catch up with friends over beer.

My go-to brewery every time I am in Bar Harbor, Maine as a beer fanatic. There are a lot of seatings - two floors for indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. You can either do beer flights, or a pint, or even just small 5oz tasting pour. I love their wide range of beer selection. They also have a huge food menu for those who wanna grab a bite as well. I love the vibes of this place. There is nothing to complain about the service either. -8/10

Good selection of beer. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any cider (not a beer drinker) so I tried a Rose. It wasn't the greatest (but I still drank it all lol). My husband had a flight and enjoyed all the flavors. We also ordered the pretzel - holy giant pretzel! It came with mustard and beer cheese. Very good! It's a bit pricey here, but it is a tourist town! It's in an out of the way location so that was great (not so crowded). There's no "FREE" parking in Bar Harbor, but we snagged a spot right in front of the brewery. Make sure you watch your meter (app). We did see someone walking around and writing tickets!

The food was delicious here. I had the lobster roll with some truffle fries that were spectacular best lobster roll I've had in a while! I tried a beer flight, and I enjoyed most of them. The server was friendly. The environment there is very modern and chill. There was nobody there for lunch which I thought to be strange on account of how good my experience was here. Good job guys.

We stopped here after a day hiking through Acadia national park. It was a really busy Saturday even though it was rainy in the park and in the city of Bar Harbor. We hopped in and I thought there would be more beer selection. The beer was just okay and wasn't really anything special. The service was decent. There wasn't anything that stood out to me about this brewery as it was average.

The poutine hit the spot, and we were very impressed by the beer, particularly the blueberry ale and the IPA.

Crazy people crowded the top deck and spent hours out in the cold...I wouldn't do that. The second deck is kind of stuffy and you have to watch mostly from inside. The first deck is where it's at. If you sit at the windows of the forward section on the Friendship V, there are not benches outside the windows as there are with the back half of the deck. So you get a nice clear view unless someone stands along the rail. Most of your time will be spent cruising. We were out for 3 1/2 hours. We probably spent 45 minutes actually watching whales and other animals. On the way to the boat we grabbed breakfast next door at the Sunrise Cafe to take on the ship and while the reviews were very good, the food and price weren't worth it and they are definitely charging tourist extortion prices. Either get up earlier and go somewhere else or eat at your hotel before hand. If you plan to ride on the top deck you will need to bring all kinds of warm weather clothing. Sitting inside while underway is the way to do it. I was in a t-shirt most of the day and would throw on a light zip up hoodie to go outside when they found a whale or something interesting. But the people who stayed outside had to bundle up quite a bit. It was 75 in Bar Harbor but 55 on the water and even colder when the ship was moving close to 30mph. It covered almost 80 miles during our voyage. By the end most of the people that ran, yes, they literally ran to the top to sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers...they all came inside. I don't think that would have been possible on a more crowded ship. The first thing they spotted was a pod of dolphins. Then the saddest thing happened. We came upon an injured juvenile humpback whale. He couldn't dive and had a huge injury and was practically dying before our eyes. All my life I have been waiting to see a humpback whale and when I finally did it was super sad. They found some fin whales later that kept diving and coming up in groups and that was cool to see. Definitely bring binoculars or rent them. They are $20 to rent and you must leave your ID with them so they know you'll return them at the end. We also got to see some remote lighthouses which had a bald eagle and some seals or walrus hanging out in the water...can't remember which species. You could barely see their shape since they were far away and their color was close to the rocks. I included a picture of the on board menu for snacks and drinks. They are quite reasonable. The bathrooms start off nice and clean and get progressively festival porta-potty like as the voyage progresses....I guess it's hard to not make a mess when the boat was rocking and rock it does! We didn't even have high seas or bad seas and it moves a ton. Bring dramamine or take it before you leave if you think you might need it. Lots of people throwing up on our trip and you can't escape the sound. You're welcome to bring snacks and drinks and I recommend it since you don't know how long you're going to be out. All in all it was a great trip and each one is like drawing cards. The trips after ours saw way better wildlife but you just never know what you're going to see so just take the chance and go. Completely worth it and very reasonably priced at around $90/adult.

It has a…read morequiet charm in the dining room that perfectly compliments the town it's in and they serve the best fish and chips in town. As stated above, the fish and chips is the thing to get here. The fish is clearly fresh (not frozen), cooked to order and has an almost unbelievable level of perfect crisp on the batter that coats it. It's also wonderful to see that they're serving it with some fresh-cut fries as there's such an overwhelming improvement in both taste and texture that you get with fresh (never frozen) fries. The fries are also perfectly cooked with a good crisp on the outside, but still fluffy potato in the middle. They then went the extra step and have house-made tartar sauce and slaw to go with it. It's a simple dish in concept, but this place goes the extra mile to make you something that's both delicious and worth coming back for. The dining room is on the smaller side, so if you have a large party it would be a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation to be sure there's a place for your entire group when you get there. I came a little later in the evening (maybe around 7pm) and found it to be pleasantly quiet, though not empty. I was greeted quickly by the owner and seated quickly. I also found the staff to be pleasant and fun to chat with while I waited for my food (I sat at the bar). It's also worth noting they have a full bar and a good choice of local draft beer to choose from.
