Atlantic Buffet used to be my standard go-to restaurant when I felt starving and needed to stuff my face with immense quantities of food. But, that was before the quality started to go. Since we started going in early 2010, the quality of the food went through a slow decline, finally culminating in me getting food poisoning from either the crayfish or the snow crab legs. Regardless, I hold no grudges against the buffet and am willing to go back. Atlantic's main rival, Pacific buffet recently went through a similar decline, so both are essentially equal in quality, although I do enjoy Atlantic's selection slightly more. read more

This establishment is awful. I was going in there expecting a halfway decent buffet. I took my husband & two children (5 & 8) . I honestly don't even know how this place is still open! Everything I ate was cold, soggy or just plain disgusting. The waitress, Dan took my plate as I was eating & took my spoon off my plate & put it on the table. I was in such shock I couldn't even say anything. Not to mention, she charged our card twice & when we spoke to the manager he said the first time it was not approved. Funny how the money came out of my bank account twice. No apology or anything. They made it seem as though it was my fault. It was $45 !! Went back in December and it was still good - food was very fresh and once again there was a variety of non Asian hot foods, Once again, the Asian dishes had distinct flavors. Sushi was good and there was a larger variety this time and it was pretty good. Service was good. read more

My friend bit into a piece of broken plastic that was embedded in his honeydew, and management did absolutely nothing about it expect try to laugh it off with us. For the price ($11.99/adult), this is a great buffet to enjoy a variety of food. They have a salad bar to get you started, equipped with greens and many toppings. Then there is another station where you can choose your own toppings for fresh hibachi fried rice or noodles. They also have a sushi bar, where there is sushi already laid out or you can ask for custom rolls. I suggest tipping the sushi chef if you ask for custom rolls, though. I did not order any custom rolls during my last visit. I tried some of the sushi laying out, but the rice was not very fresh. Then there were 4 counters of different types of hot foods including meats, skewers, vegetables, rice, noodles, soups, steamed fish, crawfish, pizza, fried foods, and many more options. I would recommend trying their coconut shrimps and pepper steak onion. Lastly, they had a dessert area off to the side near the restroom. I did not get to try much of their desserts, but they had fruits, jello, small pastries, cookies, and ice cream. So, First and foremost, I must admit that this place is cheap in comparison to other all you can eat seafood/chinese bars. But, you get what you pay for. All the food was old, especially the seafood. The crab legs were small and old...they had a musty taste and smell. Most of the food was the same...the sushi was warm. The shrimp smelled horrible. I don't know how you mess up egg rolls and crab rangoon but they did...man it was bad. I ended up eating fruit (even the pineapple was mostly core), corn on the cob, and a little string beans. We went to Sonic afterwards because we were still hungry. I will never ever go back to this place. If you know anything about good quality seafood, you would never go back here either. If you want a similar style place that is fantastic, go to the Lobster House in Alpharetta. It is worth the drive and extra money. read more

I am not a food critic.I am a poor man who doesn't eat out often and,when I do, it's usually off the dollar menu,or with a coupon.I'm always looking for the best bang for the buck,and I found it today at Atlantic Buffet. My boss told me about this place,knowing my frugality and love for Chinese food and seafood,so I had to try it. I ride a motorbike,and neither todays single digit wind chill, nor the risk of frostbite or hypothermia could deter me from going, so off I went. I arrived around 2:20pm,and was quickly seated.For my first plate,I started out small:A few boiled shrimp,crab salad,sauteed mushrooms,and some Mongolian chicken;Everything was fresh and delicious. As I happily ate, I was thinking what a great buffet it was,but when I got up for my second plate, I noticed that I had only seen half of the buffet! Before digging in,I walked around the entire buffet on the right side. I literally giggled with joy as I walked by Mexican dishes,ham,roasted pork,fish,several kinds of roasted potatoes,crawfish(I LOVE them),fried chicken wings,Crab Rangoon,egg rolls,a lot of different Chinese dishes,both with meat and vegetarian,cocktail crab claws,fried rice,and four or five different soups,which included one of the best tasting,most authentic won ton soups that I've had in years(Be sure to add some green onions,which are kept in a container on the side). All of the buffet items were full or near full,and fresh. All in all, I couldn't have been happier.A buffet of this caliber for a lunch price of $7.29,and service so good that I personally thanked my server while handing her a couple of rolled up bills,rather than just add it to credit slip, made this the best bang for the buck I've experienced in a long time.. Wow! @ Mr S. Are you serious! I went to this place strictly off of the reviews and I am sad I even trusted YELP to lead me to this ATROCIOUS place! Beware! Ok here is how my experience went: My friend was having an attack of all you can eat crab legs and she doesn't stay far from this place. So we decided to go. I recommended it since it was near by and the good reviews . After reading the reviews some good....and some bad. I arrive at this CRAP hole. Sure its beautifully decorated but that is not what I came here for. Nice place but crappy food. Before sitting down we decided to check out the buffet, it looked pretty decent. Just when we finished checking over the buffet we noticed that the CRAB LEG tray was out with 2 scrawny legs floating around. We immediately asked the host about it. He goes "Yeah, we have crab legs, soo many people thats why the tray is empty" I sensed a bit of irritation coming from his voice. That in itself should have made me stop! We go and fix our plates.....and the crab tray is still empty. I looked at the sushi which looked subpar and a bit dried out. The ice cream was frost bit with strawberry in chocolate, and sherbet in the vanilla. Gross! All was not bad. The fried rice was pretty good..with enough soy sauce. The thing that really top the cake; was the fact that they were rationing out the crab legs the whole time. The tray mostly stayed empty. When they did fill the tray, which was about every 10 mins. I litterally waited and asked the server "Where are the crab legs?!?!" He responded " Go right now!" He comes back with 20 scrawny crab legs at a time! I had to pick through them just to find a decent one. PATHETIC! Also BEWARE! The crab legs they had looked like they were in the oil spill. Black spots and a brown tint over the crab legs. Please stay away! ALL in all this place was horrible. It reminded me of all the things I don't like about a chinese buffet. Far and away the worst Chinese I've ever had! Possibly the worst meal of my life. If it wasn't bone dry and overcooked it was soggy and overcooked. It was also exceptionally bland. The only thing I ate more than one bite of was the crab Rangoon, but edible and good are two entirely different things. Very diverse selection. Mediocre taste, but let's face it - buffets are not for taste! Soul, hispanic, american, pizza, and Chinese are all there. This is a great place to go if your group has chinese food haters, there is something there for everyone. Sushi was okay, but I wouldn't go just for that. The service was excellent and tables were bused and water filled. The dessert choices were nice, and the ice cream choices were great. Will definatley go back when we want a buffet again. We've eaten there for lunch 3 times In the last 2 weeks. Everything is so fresh and nicely cooked. They don't make a big portion of anything, so the food doesn't dry out and get cold and hard. But all the pans are continually replenished. Love it there. read more

Love this buffet. Go here all the time with my kids and we all love it! Great veggies including wonderful bok Choy. Sushi comparable to the best sushi places around here. Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. We just finished our meal here and it was great. Plenty of variety between hot items and a bunch of sushi selections. Food was hot and replaced continuously with a friendly and clean looking staff. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was for being so inexpensive. I mean really..... $7.29 for the lunch buffet. Unbeatable. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal for an even better price. Servers are friendly and attentive as well. I'm usually skeptical when it comes to trying new Asian cousine. This place fat exceeded my expectations for it. There is plenty of room to move around and the large beautiful fountain in the center really sets the ambience. They are not stingy with the drink glasses. You get a large glass for a generous amount of juice or soda. The food not only looks fresh but tastes fresh as well. The buffet has everthing from orange chicken to soul food, to chicken kabobs. If you like buffets and have been looking for a really clean Asian food restaraunt, then Atlantic Buffet is the place for you. read more

I have now eaten at Atlantic Buffet 3 times, all at dinner time and all on weekends. The food turns over quickly and is fresh. I am not a Sushi person so I can't comment on that (although my son liked it). My favorite foods at this establishment are the boneless pork and the coconut shrimp. The dim sum is OK. The snow crabs are generally small and on all 3 occassions were overcooked (presumable in salt water because they were salty). Korean and Singaporean friends of mine enjoyed the Korean beef immensely. While the food is not the best, for the price, I think this establishment is a strong value. Yummy!! I usually don't do Asian buffets, but I came out to yelp first check the reviews before I went inside and took a chance.....glad I did. The food was so good and the service was excellent. Theu seated us and took our drink order all within 3 minutes of us walking in the door. They cleared our dirty plates quickly and kept our drinks topped off. The food was fresh, well seasoned and there was a great variety of options. Everyone can find something to eat on this buffet, even those that arent big asian cuisine fans.
