Very disappointed second visit. We expected to be a great lunch as it was a month ago but Iwas so surprised the food quality has deteriorated drastically. Majority of the steam tables items are now leftovers served cold, chewy and unappealing. The egg drop soup is full of starch salty and now they have added spicy peppers to the broth, which has taken away the traditional test of the soup and not to mention the soup fried flour chips being very stale. Several of the dessert selection items suffer from refrigeration burn which is very noticeble to the palate. My family and I always used to go eat at Atlantic Buffet, and we would always refer more people to that buffet, but we were very disappointed on Mother's Day because they charged us more than $70 per person!!! This buffet was great. I was on the mood for Chinese food. There was large cold shrimp, spicy shrimp, and really great sushi selection. On the hot food side, the egg drop soup, and the hot and sour soups were good. I didn't attempt to taste the beef soup. Not so appealing to me. The nice thing about the hot foods, like the Mongolian beef and orange chicken, was that they were not overcooked and dry. Loved the fruits and desserts. Usually you don't see Dragon fruit except on a very high priced buffet. Service was good and friendly. Only complaint is the sitting booths. Food was amazing I loved the birria tacos and the sushi. They also had crab Rangoons and they were the best ones I've ever had from anywhere. The service all though wasn't too good our server only came to refill our drinks once the whole time we were there. If you're in to buffets I highly recommend this restaurant! It's located in a shopping center so that made parking easy. I've been here twice and both times there were a few people in line. You pay before you're seated and they do offer beer if you are a drinker like me . It's $20 per person I paid and was seated. This by far is one of the largest buffets I've seen! It took me 2 times and I still wasn't able to try everything. Service was awesome and the manager was very accommodating for my large party. The food was hot and was always replenished when needed. The restaurant itself had a nice decor and it was clean. We did experience a bug in the ceiling above our seated area but the situation was handled swiftly. The food was fine, but there was a sense from the staff that they were guarding the food at the buffet, so the environment felt a little intense. The feeling of a place is just as important as the food in bringing in business and not driving customers away. My takeout was 90% noodles, which were overpriced for what I brought out. I worked here less than a week because of how awful management is, not only that but the manager with pink hair (robyn) always seems to be on some kind of substance like coked out of her mind or something. They don't care about their workers and even worse they don't take sanitation seriously it's disgusting in the back people at our tables would literally talk about how they got sick the last time they ate here. This buffet issoooooooo far from me. I probably won't go often, but I'm not opposed to going again. It's very spacious inside and there's a lot of foods to choose from. They have various seafood, Mexican, and Chinese food to name a few. You pay upon entering and they do also serve beer if you'd like it. The food areas were kept clean and filled. I couldn't tell if there were a lot of people because we had a large group and were sitting in an area for large groups. Each time I went to get something to eat there was so much available, so it never felt like it was too crowded. I tried coconut shrimp, honey chicken, mussels, various cakes, sweet tea, and salmon. I enjoyed everything I tried. They also have all you can eat crab and crab legs here. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Our server was attentive and even helped us with the birthday cake for our group. She also took a group picture for us. That was above and beyond for me. My ONLY drawback of this restaurant was the huge roach that showed up on a part of the ceiling above where we were eating. We literally just looked up and there it was. Now to be fair, when we notified the server she got someone back there immediately. I know bugs are going to gravitate to food; especially this much food, so I'm not really counting that against them. It was huge though y'all and we were afraid it would fly. The tables were big enough for everyone to have elbow room and sit comfortably. The chairs were a bit tattered and could use a reupholster. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with a huge open parking lot. Parking is free and plentiful. Adults pay $20.00 to eat and $2.00 for drinks plus tax. My family went to Atlan Buffet tonight we normally enjoy the crabs bad made me sick smelled like ammonia spoke with manager he totally ignored my issues with the food. Honestly feel like they dropped the ball. I used to come here as a kid and teenager with my mom. Then went to the military as a cook for 5 years. I went back after 7 years and I'm highly disappointed. Not by the lack of food, but the lack of sanitation. All they had were two tongs for sushi. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but coming from a cook stand point you should have a raw tongs and cooked tongs. The service was good, but she lost me once she grabbed the tongs from the raw sushi to grab the ginger. The atmosphere is as I remember as I kid with just a few different faces. I'd been running errands and didn't want to go home and cook, so.....I stopped at the Atlantic Buffet...it was about 6:30pm.....I'd eaten there before and it was ok for what it is......last night it was AWEFULL everything was dry and overcooked......even the sushi looked like it had been sitting there for a while.....upon arrival when I paid for my meal at the hostess station at the door, they had a sign that said senior discount, I asked for the senior discount and was asked how old I was....I said 64, she said you have to be 65 or older.....I told her the sign should state that. This place is horrible. They mistreat their employees, the manager is sleeping with the owner and she uses that as willpower over the employees. The food is cold and tastes like it is 2 days old. The sit little buckets on the floor and keep the eating utensils in them. The restroom is disgustingly nasty and hot and smells of urine. The lady kept giving us looks and got mad when we wouldn't tip because of the awful food and service we were getting the lady came up to our table and told us we had to tip. They advertise crab legs then they don't have them but they do have crawfish but I cracked it open and all the crawfish were brown on the inside. The soy sauce was disgusting and nothing was really labeled me and my husband tried this cake and the smell smelt like spoiled milk and tasted like it as well. Only somewhat good thing that had was Ice cream but even then it was freezer burnt terribly. It was over 50 dollars for us to go and eat the most awful food ever. I came here for lunch as my group of coworkers was wanting some kind of sushi buffet and this was the closest place and the photos looked good. I was a-little wary of the 3 star reviews but then again many people don't rate buffets high. We were seated right away and it was slow as we got here at around 11:10 am on a Thursday. The variety bar looked small and the sushi bar was extremely small. The photos on here made it alot bigger than it was. It had your typical Chinese buffet items. I went to the Hibachi area (Cook to Order) and there was nobody there. I waited for 5 min and finally asked one of the employees for some Hibachi service. The asian lady stated that the cook was eating breakfast and to come back in 10 minutes. I was like wtf! So I went and got some hot food items and came back approximately 10 minutes later and finally there was somebody at the Hibachi station. I grabbed some steak, mushrooms, shrimp, egg, and fake crab meat. I gave the plate to the cook and told him Hibachi Sauce. I came back 15 minutes later, and it looked like they just started cooking my food. I was like wtf. Most chinese buffets would already been done. I waited another 5 minutes and my food was finally done. The food was decent. It was your typical low budget Ssain buffet The crayfish was decently fresh and tasty. I would of ate more but all my coworkers had already finished their food and waiting on me. The clams was also tasty. One thing to point out, they have some high dollar green seaweed salad in their sushi area. Normally at the low budget buffets, they do not have this item. Very surprised that they do. I especially enjoyed the ice cream and pineapples. Service was pretty good, as fast refills and dirty dish clean up. I am not sure if I will come back again but at the time of writing this review, I am not sick yet so I guess that a good thing.
