I have eaten here two times. On both occasions, the diners and most of the restaurant staff have been Hispanic. The taste of the food is okey, nothing special that I tried. The sushi/ sashimi/ California roll are second thought at best. The sushi that was on the counter when I arrived was what was there when I left, minus what I ate. The sushi guy was too busy cutting cucumber than to put fresh sushi out. I think he was waiting for all the plates of California rolls to be empty before putting anymore out. Would I eat here again? This restaurant might be a sister restaurant of Pacific Buffet, but if it is, it is the younger, underachieving midget sister of Pacific Buffet. Contrary to what the other reviewers state, I definitely do not feel that this place is even worth of considering for a 5 star rating. Price Lunch (weekdays): $7 Dinner (weekdays): $8 Dinner (all day weekends):$9 or 10 Overall, there is less food here, and the food, with the exception of the kalbi BBQ short ribs, is of lower quality. And seriously, when they refill a tray, they (for the most part) only put in a few servings of something. For the Flouder, they put in just 3 fish for the whole restaurant, for the crab legs, they left 6 pods of legs (and you all know how many of yhose people get in one sitting). There were some bright spots tho. The roast beef was delicious (it was noticeably absent aka did not ever get replaced at Pacific), the apple pie was CONSTANTLY refilled, they had sweet potatoes and tacos (which were average, slightly better than taco bell's hard shell tacos), they had bone in flounder (cooked properly too), and super flavorful chicken fajitas. A few downsides stick out in my mind tho. There is almost no sushi selection here, and the available sushi is NOTICABLY lower quality than Pacific (probably about the same or a little higher than Grand Buffet), the crawfish was WAY overcooked, no sea bass (though it is kind of made up by having flounder), and the banana pudding tasted artificial (which is weird because it tasted great at Pacific-I attribute it to the use of vanilla Pudding at Pacific and the use of Banana flavored pudding at Atlantic). There does seem to be a larger selection of American food here (mac and cheese, chicken tenders, pizza, hard shell tacos, etc), which may explain why this restaurant is rated so high (I may be the first asian reviewer for this restaurant on yelp). So if you are looking for a good ASIAN/CHINESE buffet, go to Pacific instead. You can thank me later. read more

I was upset I was disappointed I had a tamale and when I bit into the tamale there was a bone in the tamale and I almost broke my tooth on it and I ask the server who was laughing about it said ya it was a bone in the tamale to give it flavor and then I ask for the manager to come over and he was apologetic when I told him that I found a bone in the tamale and he said it gives it flavor like whole chicken gives tamale flavor really I am not that stupid I know how to cook and then I really the health inspector needs to come and check the rice cooker when I went to get rice it was dirty and most of the food has cling wrap under the food and I think the people that work there are lazy. read more

I don't know how this place got bad reviews! I don't ever eat at buffets, but a friend took us here and my MIND.IS.BLOWN. We arrived an hour before closing. I only ate their sushi, seafood and veggie dishes and everything I had was amazingly delicious and fresh! My fiancé and I are super picky with seafood and sushi and I literally have ZERO complaints with the 5+ plates I ate. The amount of sushi I ate alone would've cost more than the $10.99 admission! Buffets are usually not my first choice because I usually do not eat that much in order to get my money worth, but I decided to try this place based on a co-worker's recommendation. I actually drive by this place weekly and never thought twice about eating there. It is located in a shopping center above the Walmart shopping center. Pros: Easy parking, reasonably priced, variety of food Cons: quality of food. The salmon was very dry. Fried salt & pepper blue crabs were on the bar, but there was no meat in them. Basically just fried shells on the bar just to say crab legs are available. Some of the shrimp selections were not deveined (a.k.a. poop still in). Some of the meats taste funny. Would I eat here again? Probably not. It would have to be a situation where someone else wants to eat there. Even then I would be very choosy about what I would eat there. Conclusion: Even though this price may be reasonable for the wide selection. At some point you have to think about the quality of what you are getting, how the food is being cooked, where the food is coming from. It's a buffet, so they have to move a larger amount of food daily. Therefore, quality sometimes is low. If you find a few good choices this could possibly be an okay spot to eat every now and then. Nothing to jump up and down about when you know quality food. If you are not a healthy eater and are not used to fresh tasting food, this place will be heaven for you. Do not eat anything. The food was old& most was undercooked. I tried to get another drink made bc my cup had cracks in it & kept wetting up my table. None of the food was labeled. EVERYTHING was room temp or cold. So many of the plates were dirty. I had 2 plates, 1st plate was horrible. I had a wonton in my soup so old it bent the spoon when I went to split it in half. Some broccoli was raw and some were cold and salty. I waited to see if fresh food would come out. I saw 2 workers on 2 different occasions simply stir the food& push it to the front. This is a perfectly serviceable Buffet. I first went here with my best friend when it first opened. And like a lot of things, when I came back with my husband and elderly Mom, I had a different experience. It has, unfortunately, shown it's age. Food is not brought out fresh until the last, chewy, heat-lamped dry morsel is gone. It is a decent value for the price if you place quantity over quality, but it is no Tokyo Buffet and (though I didn't expect it to be) no Nori-Nori. If you want cheap food, lackadaisical service (Twice I had to interrupt a group of servers who were chatting so what we could have our drinks refreshed. That dried out food really works up a thirst!) and though I have certainly had WORSE, I had unfortunately had MUCH better at just around the same price point. We won't be back, nor recommend anyone who wants to show his elderly parent a good time to this place. This is sad, because it used to be SO good. The clientele absolutely has something to do with it. They DO have steamed crab legs on weekends, but the crush of people rudely shoving each other (and Mom) out of the way as soon as a new tray was brought out make me me feel gross, and I had to rescue Mom from the crush of rude people. If you're looking for something quick, not necessarily gourmet, this is your place. The lunch special is 7.99, which isn't bad since it is all you can it. The selection is basis it includes your standard Chinese buffet dishes (i.e. broccoli and chicken, Gen tso). They aren't many of these choices as i've seen at other buffets. there is a hibachi where you can get a dish prepared. There are some american options like french fries and chicken nuggets. There is also a sushi and fruit bar there. I did eat there once and then I did take out the next time. It was about $4.80 a pound so it definitely makes more since to just eat there. Its not the best buffet and its not the worst. So if you want to stuff your face for cheap and you have to do it quickly, here's the place for you! read more

I've been here a few times but nothing has ever topped my last visit there this past Sunday when I was forced to take my mother here for Mom's Day (it's her favorite restaurant as of late). Like any other normal buffet, Atlantic Buffet is all you can eat everything. There are so many choices you can't help but to spend at least a couple of hours in there. In addition to your mainstream Chinese fare (noodles, fried rice, General Tso chicken, sticky rice, honey chicken, coconut shrimp, pepper steak, Chinese veggies, etc.), there are a number of other goodies, including: steak, HUGE leg of lambs, melt-in-your-mouth ribs, oysters, grilled and fried squid, mackerel fish, baked seabass, a sushi bar, crab legs, pot roast (deeelicious), mac-n-cheese (just okay), grilled asparagus, soups, and.... that's all I can remember for now-- Mmm and for dessert there is a nice assortment of goodies including fruit and cakes, but the most popular and the greatest is the ICE CREAM. Now, I'm not even a sweets type of person but I think that ice cream has crack in it. I am not sure of the brand but it's very likely the best I've ever had. Mmm and fresh, hot donuts sprinkled with sugar crystals... oh my those were the best. I'm actually sitting in the restaurant trying to make a meal out of fruit and desert and wondering how my fellow Yelpsters led me so wrong. I really hate to burst anyone's bubble, but I was hungry, nearby, and saw the great reviews (and I always see a bunch of cars out front) so I decided to give it a try. I even checked the Health Department score because I am very skeptical of buffets I'm general (they scored in the 90s in January). First, sushi. Not labeled. AT ALL. No one behind the counter. I'm not about to play Russian Roullette with raw fish in a place I've never been! Luckily, spicy tuna is easy to spot. Or was I lucky? Tasted slightly more "fishy" than I'm used to, but edible. I took two pieces, and did not go back for more. On to the rest of the buffet: Please note, I am absolutely not a salt-a-phobe, but good God Almighty! I got some hot and sour soup (usually a fail safe) but thought it smelled a little funny. One tiny taste, and I knew what it was: salt. Not just a little too much, folks. We're talking SEAWATER salty. Same with the General Tso's. It had the same eerie smell and was just as salty. I had also taken some veggie lo mien, which was absolutely not anything exciting, rather tasteless until it touched the seawater flavored General Tso's. After two Chinese restaurant staples were so far off, I just gave up and headed for the fruit and pudding. Folks, there are no words to describe my disappontment. After such a positive experience at Nori Nori in Sandy Springs a few weeks ago, I guess I was looking for more of the same. Came by yesterday for old times' sake and out of curiosity of how the place has changed over the past couple of years. BF and I arrived after the C&O meet, so it was around 11, which is when it opens. There were only a couple of tables aside from us at the beginning, but by the time we left, it was PACKED! It was after-church lunch rush so everything was fresh but of the typical Asian buffet fare. I was surprised to see a different type of soup being offered though, the spicy shrimp soup, which tastes a heck of a lot like Tom Yum soup (but less sour). I could see that it was a hit, because my seat was facing the food and the majority of the people getting soup got this one. The only thing that irks me, and it's probably due to my engineering mindset, but the booths were not ergonomically designed very well.. meaning, the tables sit a little high, while the booth's seat sits a little too low. 3 stars for food, but 4 stars for the staff's attention to the food. I arrived at 3:30 expecting a crappy selection because I came at the awkward time when the lunch rush is long gone, but it's not quite time to switch to dinner. Well, it turned out pretty decent. The place is well kept; it's clean and spacious enough. There are 3 u-shaped isle of foods. The far left is where the desserts, sushi, salad, and cocktail items are located. The middle isle had Mexican food on one side and American food on the other. The last stand contained all the Chinese foods; soups, fried foods, stir-fried items, dumplings. The sushi looked fresh but here's your selection; artificial crab meat with cream cheese and sesame seeds, or artificial crab meat with avocado, or tuna with artificial crab meat and black sesame seeds, or pickled whatever and artificial crab meat. I despise artificial crab meat. It's a bunch of discards cooked with starch. There was one item that did not have artificial crab meat. I went for it, it tasted fine. Maybe I came on a bad day. The mac n cheese tasted like noodles in cheesy water. A reviewer commented on the mac n cheese, why didn't I listen. One interesting thing: their soup selection included spicy shrimp soup in addn to hot n sour, egg drop, and wonton soup. Hey hey hey. That's new. Overall, it's your standard Chinese buffet. I don't know if this place is under new management, but the reviews for this is completely false. THERE IS NO CRAB LEGS! It smells awful in here. I tried a piece of every sushi roll available, they all were old fish with hard rice in it. I'm a huge fan of fish, you'd be better off getting Publix sushi. The staff is nice, and keeps the place clean...well, for a buffet haha. The price is reasonable, $11 adult dinner, $6 child dinner. Oh, and there is crawfish & questionable shrimp...but no crab legs! In terms of Chinese buffets, this place seems to be on par to slightly above par. I like that they have sushi and hibachi. Their selection is pretty good. They keep the food well stocked. For food freshness, they are ok. One of the fish dishes could've been seasoned a little better. The watermelon was very fresh and tasted great. At the hibachi station, they had a board that offered several flavors, but all were crossed off except for terriyaki. So they need to keep their sauces a little better stocked. The price was also on the pricier side at $11.99 for adults. The service was ok. They took plates away fairly quickly, but they weren't the friendliest I've met. Overall, it's a buffet restaurant that's ok if I'm in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get to. read more

Nah. I don't like this place. I've given them two tries. Went for weekday lunch both times. If you like seafood, they've got a decent amount, but be warned, the whole restaurant smells "fishy", that funky seafood shoppe smell, you know? If you're looking for a wide variety of Chinese-American food, sushi, hibachi items, etc.- this is NOT the place. The hibachi items look like no one touches them. They have NO beef dishes on the buffet, except for on the hibachi side (see previous sentence). The fried rice doesn't even look fried, it looks and tastes like white rice with frozen veggies in it. Friendly servers, though. Eeerie cameras in the dining room area. Try PACIFIC, up the road a little bit, off of Barrett Parkway, in the shopping center with the Chastain Walmart. I meant to go to this spot when they were brand new, but time and opportunity never presented itself until a few weeks ago. I was excited about the all you can eat sushi - it looked dry & lackluster. Much of the food had crazy substitutions and awkward combinations to make the dish cheaper. It was interesting that they would make some food on the grill & put it out fresh. They annoyed me with the whole issue of being more focused on closing the place down instead of serving customers. So from the look of the other reviews of this place i would say its deff a hit and miss type of spot. I ate here tonight and it was ok. i mean there were some things i didnt care for but there were others that i rather enjoyed. For starters i would have to say in pure aesthetics and decor this is probably one of the top two or three nicest looking and clean buffets i have ever been to. tonight they had no problem refilling the food in a timely manner. the only thing they had trouble with was the king crab legs. which i dont see all the fuss.. honestly people were standing waiting and complaining how they should make more at a time..... i was just like wow really.. try some of the other 40 some odd things on the buffet.. geeeesss... anyway this is not a rant. so the food as i said was pretty good.. i did hit a few downfalls, for example the egg drop soup was pretty tasteless. just seemed like eggs and water with some yellow food coloring. but that didnt throw off my meal. there were quite a few things that were pretty darn good.. chicken on a stick. deep fried shell on shrimp.. the general tso's chicken.. fried rice was good.. they had some of the best egg rolls i have had in a while. and their crab rangoon and dumplings were also rather good.. i kind of hit the buffet everywhere had to try a little of everything... the pork spare ribs were ok. a little tough for me.. the service was great. seemed like they had plenty of people working for the amount of business they had. my water glass never got to empty and a plate never sat for more than 2 minutes on my table after i was done with it. I have been here three times, and the food was pretty good (most of the time). The price per person is reasonable. The first time I was here, the food was great and so was the service. I loved the steamed sea bass and the grilled asparagus. The second time I was here, well let's just say the food this time wasn't as great as the last time. The steamed sea bass wasn't real sea bass. It was some kind of cheap-o fish. The asparagus was missing. I came back for the third time to see if the owner had changed the fake sea bass and brought back the asparagus. To my delight, he did. Literally the worst buffet I've ever been to. They have a great selection, but the food is subpar. I thought maybe the hibachi would be better than the buffet but I was dead wrong. Stopped here on a whim since we were in the area shopping and craving Chinese buffet. Decent selection all around, although I don't like having to carry little plastic cups of soy from the buffet to my table, makes it impossible to add just a little to what you want, either dip it or wind up drenching your plate trying to pour it gently. Their sushi selection was typical for a buffet, not anything spectacular, but it was fresh. I also like the fact that they use LARGE glasses, so I don't have to wait as long for refills. Waitstaff was very nice and attentive, and kept the table clear of plates and napkins throughout our meal. Overall I say it's worth a stop in to check out... I visited this chinese and assorted varieties of ethnic food, when it opened over a year ago..The food then was good and plentiful with line items refilled promtley. They have gone way done..The food is not refilled in a timely manner and I had to wait and wait for grilled items to be replaced.The quality of the grilled steak served also went down from really good and fresh to over cooked and poor grade of meat..For what they serve they charge way to much.. Good buffet but I've had better.. Tried to take in consideration the time of day I went but still not too impressed. Sushi was limited not a lot of variety. As for the hot bar it was picked over but good. No sesame chicken or honey chicken and steak was ok.
