I went there today for a sub for the first time after shopping at the tackle shop a few door down. I ordered a roast beef and provolone with the works. It was very delicious and they did not skimp on the ingredients. So I recommend the Atlantic City Sun Shop. The staff very friendly, you feel comfortable there .

Food is quick and tasty. Seems like prices have gone up and quality had slipped but as of late they have gotten it together.

Some of the best subs in the area. Can't go wrong with the cheesesteak or meatball parm. Portion sizes and prices are average for the area.

The price vs…read more portion size for the salads just aren't worth it... ...especially when Celina's is in the same parking lot and offers a better value for their salads. Also, the young man who made my salad and wrang me up on Monday 9/9 around 7:45pm while the other employee was cleaning out the drink machines was clearly mad he was working and had customers to deal with. I'm not sure if he had a large cleaning list or something but I was the only person there, he didn't say hello or great me when I walked in, walked towards me, cleaned something else, and after about 90 seconds he finally greeted me and asked what I'd like. The portion sizes he gave me were pretty abysmal almost to the point that I was thinking he was just trying to keep the case looking full for the next morning or something. When I asked for just a little dressing mixed in he doused it, mixed it, and doused it again to an absurd amount. I didn't bother saying it was too much because the kid looked clearly like he didn't want to be there (which I get it, I've been there before, but come on - at least fake it). Then another couple got in line behind me, and the kid just sighed and looked PO-ed (note this was around 7:45pm and well before closing at 9). He threw his spatula onto the floor, not with all his force, but as he stormed to the back to get salad lids, the lady behind me look startled and said "wow he looks angry." And asked her husband if they should just go elsewhere. Honestly $14 wasn't worth it for the food or experience, and I won't be going back. Go to Celina's just 50 feet from the Saladworks for a better salad, or elsewhere imo.

Our reservation was at 7pm. #1 annoyance- when we ordered water for the table, we were told that they do not serve tap water, you have to buy bottled water for $2.50 a bottle! #2 annoyance- after ordering more than $100 worth of appetizers to share (that is how we like to eat so we can taste a lot of different menu items) and being served a couple apps, we were told that if we did not order entrees we would be charged a $10 sharing charge per person. If we were told that when ordering or it was on the menu, we would have changed our order. Needless to say we had to after all the food, we also had to order an entree that we really did not want and took home. #3 annoyance- After ordering the many appetizers the waiter looked at us funny. When I said that if we wanted more food we would order more, his response was that the kitchen closes at 7:14pm. Really? We just got there at 7 and I can't believe (well, maybe I can) that they didn't have reservations after 7:14pm. #4 annoyance- after eating our mezza and awaiting for our salad we asked for clean plates. We were told that the dishwasher called out and there aren't many clean plates. If you looked around the empty restaurant, all the tables were pre-set with the same small plates, all they had to do was give us plates from another table. The waiter did bring out clean plates after all but had to give us more grief! #5 annoyance- I left the restaurant without saying anything about this horrible experience, but I decided to call the next day so that they could hopefully learn from this and improve. When I asked to speak to the owner or manager I was told that they were busy. I left a message that I was a new customer and had a delicious meal and wanted to give them feedback and left my name and number. You can guess what happened next- absolutely nothing. Needless to say, we will never go back. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was so frustrating and rude.

I've seen my fair share of CFA…read morelocations and while I would never say that any of them are lookers in terms of design over the years the stores have been modified and, like the service you normally receive here, they are masterclasses of simple efficiency. This store is well placed close to route 9, the AC Expressway and the Blackhorse Pike. Even though we came on a weekday during a prime dinner hour there was not the usual site that I've grown to expect with a line of cars wrapped around the store's drive thru window. While there were a few cars in line, the main draw for some reason was dining in. The parking lot was filled and trying to find a space was a mess. We had to schlep over to the neighboring Wal-Mart lot to find a space. Not Cool. The things we do for chicken. #1 #4 #5 #9 If you're a connoisseur of CFA then I don't need to explain to you what those numbers translate to on the menu board. All items were rendered as expected with the two highlights being the lack of hard end grizzle on the regular nugs and instead of the usual single pickle on the #1, there were five! (I don't eat pickles so I'm not sure why I just threw that exclamation point in there) Two sidebar observations: 1. I had to laugh at the placement of the staff's ServSafe certificates. They're all together under a glass case hanging on the wall next to the bathroom entrance doors. There really must be a better place than that. 2. I'm not a big fan of the new motion sensor trash bins that are appearing at CFA's. My local store does not have them yet and from talking to the staff there are no plans to get them any time soon but I've seen them now here and at two locations in VA. I feel as someone who is not garden gnome short, the door slot is placed too low and the design equals less capacity than a traditional container. With how busy these places get you need more capacity not less capacity. When I went to throw out our trash I had to call an employee over to dump the inner bin which was filled and got stuck trying to compact itself but couldn't. Ironically the same thing happened to me at a different CFA in VA last month. Overall the store was clean, the food was fresh, the food was hot and it was delivered quickly. There is nothing sexy about what CFA does but what they do is shockingly consistent and that's why they are the envy of the fast food industry.
