Two of us ordered ribs. Both of the rib eaters were quite happy with their orders. Both onion rings and fries were good, according to the rib-eaters. I had the half order of the tomato & mozzarella flatbread/salad, and shared some of the fried rice special with shrimp, which was savory with a hint of spicy. I did like the flatbread better. Neither the bar menu nor the dessert menu should be overlooked. I would recommend the cheesecake or the peanut butter/chocolate pie (which tastes like a Reese's), but the cheesecake was definitely my favorite. read more

Stopped in this restaurant for a quick dinner while my son was at soccer practice. I was not impressed. My husband and I were pressed for time, so we could not be picky. The food was below average. My husband ordered the personal pizza and I ordered chicken with sweet potatoes. The presentation of the food was poor and the taste was average. On a positive note, the complimentary bread was warm and satisfying. Unfortunately, we will not return but wish the restaurant the very best. read more

Family and I enjoy the food here and in particular the pizza and hamburgers. While the food is good, the takeout service is lacking in my opinion. Have been given the wrong order previously and also experienced, on more than one occasion, the order not being completely correct. If you're getting food to go, I would just encourage you to check it before leaving. Would still recommend to others, but hopefully the takeout experience will improve in the future. read more

Last night (5/10/21) was our first visit to Atlantic and we are so glad we did. A friendly bar and amazing food. Christin, the bartender, was great. I had the Rueben which was the best one I have had since... maybe NY??? The do their own corned beef and it was so TENDER. My wife's grilled chick salad was so fresh and good. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. This is all based on our first visit but we have heard the same from others too. We will be back for sure. read more

Ordered myself (and my dad) a treat (have been craving the Thai chili brussels and yummy crab dip) some take out through Door Dash. I have a gluten issue so I requested a tortilla option. The food (yummy!!!!!) arrived right on time and even better than anticipated and with mounds of chips. Afterwards, I saw there was a message that they didnt typically even have chips! They went OUT OF THEIR WAY to accommodate my request!!!! So instead of feeling bad I put them to extra trouble, I am telling everyone to support Atlantic Grille yumminess!!!!! The food wasn't great. My husbands burger was soggy, the french fries were only ok. My crab dip was delightful, i would do carry out for their crab dip and skip the rest. However do not try and warm up the crab dip next day. Gross, other places thats fine but not this crab dip. The desserts we tried not great, and very small. read more

Omg! Horrible food! I ordered cream of crab soup that had only lumps of crabmeat on the top of the soup. Looked like they poured the cream in a styrofoam bowl then added crabmeat to the top! Atlantic Grille is our favorite neighborhood restaurant, and we take our family here about once a week. Service is always great, and the food is so much better than any chain restaurant you can visit in Frederick or Urbana. We always get the hummus, and our kids love the little pizzas. Our favorite dinner is typically one of their salads with salmon or one of their chicken dinners. Of course, you have to get the Thai Brussels sprouts. We were a little concerned when the Green Turtle opened nearby, that this place would suffer- but we are so glad to see they are still going strong and actually improving their service! I just came in for a quick lunch. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich soup combo . The Ceasar wrap was good and the Maryland crab soup was awesome. I sat at the bar and the bartender "Kesha" was very attentive one of the best bartenders I've seen. As long as my job is in this area I will come back. read more

I have been here a few times and each time I am happy. Although they seem to have changed things up a little (differ t salad salad arrangements, smaller childs pizza, etc.) the food has continued to taste the same... delicious! The waitresses/waiters have always been extra attentive and nice. This seems to be harder to find in this area. Many of the restaurants have changed menus or their food has gone downhill over the years. I am happy that Atlantic Grill has stayed consistent. read more

Having gone to Atlantic Grill for over 3yrs. I find the service extremely pleasant. We have gotten to know the staff very well and some of the locals who dine the same time as my wife and I. Not very good. Portions are small. I ordered Chicken Picatta and they served is over fettucini with alfredo sauce-very weird, the lemon over the cream sauce didnt work and kinda made the sauce curdle. Also, my boyfriend ordered cajin chicken and they served it to him cut up in little tiny pieces as if he were a 3 year old!! CRAZY. Wish J & P pizza was still in that spot. read more

The salads, scallops and chicken Marsala were fresh and delicious and generous The kids meals were generous too. Much more than can be said for the food, Fries were small and soggy, I'm sure you get what is left over, luck of the draw, .seafood flat bread was gooey on an over done pop tart like crust. My family and I dined at Atlantic Grille this past Sunday morning for brunch. We had a party of 12, had reservations, and the restaurant was not busy in the slightest (Holiday weekend - lots of people out of town I think). Let me start off by saying I have worked in the service industry for many years, and this was some of the worst service I have ever had. We arrived, did not have drinks for over 20 minutes, then did not see our waitress to order food for about another 10-15 mins, it's like she was avoiding coming back to the table. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or if she was just a poor server, but either way there is no excuse when we had a reservation and the restaurant only had 2-3 other tables seated at the time. When we were finally able to order, one member of our party has multiple food allergies, but was told by the manager last time they dined there that he could have the calamari. The manager went back to the kitchen, spoke with the cooks (supposedly), and discovered that he could have the calamari based on his restrictions. This time, when we asked the server if it would be okay based on his restrictions, she said no, and that he "must've gotten lucky" last time when he ate it and did not get sick....... She offered no other suggestions, and was rude about the whole thing. Two other members of our group modified their eggs benedict, they wanted bacon instead of the Canadian bacon/ham that came on the benedict. When their meals came out, the eggs benedict was just the egg on the English muffin, topped with hollandaise sauce. The bacon came out on a separate plate and the server said "I guess the kitchen didn't put it on the benedict, you can put it together though," or something along those lines... which is just ridiculous. As a server, you make sure that the food comes out how your table orders it. If you notice that the kitchen has made an error, or did not understand what the order was, you correct it before bringing it to the table.. So the food was sub-par. Nothing special, but nothing was "bad." For coffee refills, either the server or the busboy would come to the table, ask if anyone wanted more, and then stand there holding their pot of coffee until you handed them all the cups you wanted refilled, which is odd. Most servers will go around, pick up your cup, refull it, etc. These ones waited until you gathered all the cups and passed them down the table... and just stood there staring at you in the meantime. I will not be dining at Atlantic Grille again, I will be telling my friends and family about my poor experience, and I hope that people in the Frederick/Urbana area will find better restaurants to eat at, because this one doesn't have great food, or great service. read more

To be fair, this place has potential. It does need some work, however. I find the service in the dining room lacking. Everyone is very polite, but they don't always listen to your requests. Some of the food is good - the French Dip for instance. Don't bother with the crab vegetable soup ( a personal favorite) it tastes canned. The burgers are okay. Sometimes, when it gets busy, the food does take a while - maybe the kitchen is small. The bar is a nice place to sit, have a drink and people watch. It is becoming a regular stop for some Urbanaites (?). Drinks are well poured and fairly priced. The bartenders are very nice - usually remembering you name & your drink of choice. My advice? If you can, bypass the dining room and sit in the bar. read more

The Atlantic crab delight is my favorite dish along with the cream of crab soup, and my wife likes all the seafood options. Only real place to get quality seafood in Urbana. It is a nice, local place in Urbana. It's reasonable priced. However it's just a place to grab a sandwich or steak dinner when you want to keep it local. I had the crab cake sandwich and crab soup, which was decent. The crab cake sandwich had more lump crab than filler, which was a plus. The soup was a little salty and had strands of crab. My husband had the 22 oz. porterhouse and it was huge,cooked medium rare, and cooked the way it's suppose to be. The ambiance was very casual, somewhat family friendly. However there is a bar toward the back of the restaurant which is blasting top 40 hits. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Went there for the first time and was wondering why it took so long to go. Each of our meals was well prepared. The cream of crab soup is one of the best we cam remember. Good brunch of Sundays...Onion soup & wedge salad good for lunch & dinner.

The menu looked amazing with a nice variety so I thought it would be a great place for a family of 5 dinner. The food however was bland and mediocre despite the savory descriptions. Seafood nachos had a tasteless sauce and rubbery bland shrimp and tiny scallops. The wedge salad had a horrific amount of pungent red onion that overpowered the entire salad. Grilled chicken for the Caesar salad was tasteless, dry, and tough as a shoe sole. The Rueben was just so so. Etc Etc. Honestly the best thing here were the fries, and to pay over 70.00 for just great fries definitely insured we won't be back. I'm just glad none of us were in the mood for the higher priced dinners that are probably just as bad. read more

We visited on a house hunting trip. Seemed to be a place that a lot of regulars come to as we were recognized as not being from around the area. Staff was very friendly and recommended a couple of things on the menu. My wife tried the sautéed brussels sprouts and said they were the best she's ever had. I thought they were second best to Spike Africa's in San Diego. I felt Atlantic Grilled cheated a little because they slice their sprouts up while Spike Africa's was able to get the flavor in the sprout and keep it whole. My entree was the crab cake and it was delicious. This was the first crab cake I had in Maryland and it definitely made me a believer in Maryland crab cakes. As advertised. read more
