Come today, I went to look at the photos again and the price had increased $450. We could have been open to the price change, had they been up front about it. Instead, they confirmed my appointment (prior to me revisiting the site and seeing the change) and didn't say anything about the price change. This is dishonest and greedy. I can't imagine how they actually manage the tenants.

After speaking with them multiple times with various questions, I was left with a feeling of assurance that I was in good hands. Being a first time landlord, I have no experience in knowing how to screen tenants, knowing the rules, etc., especially when my background is not in the real estate and rental business. Having a busy work schedule also means that I won't likely be able to attend to the tenant's needs in a timely manner. This is where Good Life fills in the gaps for me. The team at Good Life during the onboarding process has been super helpful and efficient in getting the property ready, whereas it would've taken me ages in trying to do it myself. I was assigned Andrei as my property manager and it's been a great start. He has been open, transparent, professional, and great to work with since the start. I recently had an online shopping shipment mis-delivered to my rental property, to which Andrei was instrumental in helping to coordinate the handoff between the tenant and me. Even though Andrei is my primary contact, I can see that they have great teamwork. On one weekend, I had a question to which I received an out-of-office note from him. But rest assured, another team member stepped in that day during his time off to help with my question. Good Life also has a great online portal for me to see all the documents and tax information. Very friendly and always follows up with our questions/requests. We've had a few repairs that our tenants needed. Chi (Maintenance coordinator) handled them smoothly and kept me informed. Again, great communication. Love the financial summary (and receipt) at end of year for our tax accountant. Documents are nicely arranged on the owner web portal. Love it. And...always like Steve's informative emails and YT videos on regulations and tips.

Update: It's been…read moreabout 2 years since my initial impression of John. The relationship started out well, but more and more he became unresponsive and not detail oriented. We've received bills from other properties, emails with so many typos it's difficult to decipher, and had to make repeated requests for monthly reoccurring issues. When our renters had an issue with the kitchen faucet we had to request several times to have a plumber look at it before John agreed. We almost replaced our 1k faucet 100% under warranty for a $50 fix. For all of these reasons I would not recommend John's services. Old review: John is all about business. As a property manager he's been responsive to us and worked hard to secure a renter in just a couple of weeks. We were super happy that our unit was only vacant for 5 days, saving us a substantial amount of money. We believe John found us a good renter and they signed a lease for almost 2 years. John's management fees are also extremely reasonable. We would highly recommend John for your property management needs.

This management company charges excessive amounts for move out cleaning. We extensively cleaned our…read moreunit before moving out and received all green flags during their move out inspection. They thanked us for "taking care of the unit while we lived there" and said it was in "great" condition, yet they still felt the need to hire four separate vendors to "clean" the unit and charged nearly $700 to do so. Prior to moving out, I had a move out call with Katie Acampora, where the vendor cleaning process was discussed, but I believe I was deliberately misled to believe that the total charges would only be roughly ~$250. We were model tenants and this company squeezed us for what they could. I would not do any type of business with this company again. If they didn't directly profit from these excessive cleaning fees, then they were lazy and hired default, excessive cleaning services that went far beyond what was needed. I am guessing no tenant pays less than the ~$700 charged us to move out.
