This place has to have the best late night food in all of Boulder. Used to go here all the time when I worked on Pearl St. The crowd tends to be a bit younger especially on the weekends. Gets SUPER crowded late night on the weekends so be prepared to possibly be turned away if you come too close to last call. Also has Sunday ticket and a fair amount of TVs and drink and food specials during the game. Another great special is $5.00 burger night where you can get any burger on their menu with fries for only five bucks. They wouldn't let's us come in because a friend from Rwanda had an expired ID from a week ago. When it's impossible to get it renewed because the consulate is closed because of Covid. If a dispensary can accept it, than you can too. It's one thing to not serve someone a drink, it's another thing to be mean about it. I will never come back here. Great night ruined by aggressive and violent staff. Friday fish fry was great and service from waitress was friendly and timely. We were happy to find a place in Boulder that felt like home in WI. There was a private event in the back but we wanted to play a game after our meal. Our waitress said the event was over and we could go back there. A few minutes later someone from the group asked us to be quiet for 5 minutes while they played a retirement video for a service member. Their event was running over. No problem, we won't renew our game and will be on our way shortly. A few seconds later some dude comes out from the back, tells us "to turn the f'ing game off or he's going to unplug it." Doesn't let us respond and shoves the game from the wall as we're seated around it. Wow, thanks for ruining one of the the first night out with my wife after having our baby. Took a friend here last weekend in thanks for helping me with my car in the sweltering heat. This place is on the 2nd story of an office building on the west side of Walnut in town - it doesn't take much imagination to figure out where they got their name from. Definitely NOT handicap-accessible (it's stairs all the way up). The space looks about 50% foosball/pool table area, with 2 really comfy leather couches nearby and I think a jukebox?...25% bar area, and 25% dining area, I think there were about 10-12 tables. We were there on a Saturday night around 8, and the 1 server who was there was either unmotivated or somewhat "baked"...just pretty slow, languid moving. Friendly, but noncommittal. The place was largely empty when we walked in, but by the time we left, the bar was fully loaded up, so there must be something about this place. For me, the only outstanding reason to come here is this: their burgers (and I'm guessing sammies) are world-class and amazing. About $8-9 a pop, but you get a massive feast for your devouring pleasure. You can even get a choice of sweet potato fries, along with the other choices of salad, baked potato or standard fries! Skinny, but tasty. They were out of 2 out of 6 beers on the menu when we arrived, and the 3rd I asked about they didn't even carry anymore (doh), but they did have something else called Tetley beer -- when I think of Tetley I normally think of tea -- this stuff is probably one of the smoothest liquids I have ever drank. There's little...I don't know what the right word is. Bite? to it...my friend immediately ordered a pint up. I ended up getting the 90shilling. The main page of their website is very colorful -- but that's all you get is the 1 page; and shows what their dinner specials are every night, as well as game day saturday and sunday specials, and happy hour specials from 3-6pm. I took a few pics of the dining/bar area and will post them not too far away. Summary: Great food, but meh service -- but popular amongst the locals, I guess. They do taste good, but that price (with tax amounting to $10 for a pick up) is RIDICULOUS. Don't know if I will come back. I went here because I heard that they play Wisconsin Badger and Packer games! (Originally from the cheese land myself). I learned that the owners are from Wisconsin which is why they broadcast these games. I was happily surprised with my bill because it was a Friday night and the beers we got were only $5 or $3.50 when I was expecting them to be from $6-8. read more

this place is the real deal, you guys. As a Wisconsin girl, this place could not be more perfect. cheese curds, Mac n cheese, broccoli and cheese soup, and BEER are not only listed on the menu, but are Wisconsin-grade delicious as well. I also had a chicken tender wrap (so Midwest) and my fiancé had the Bucky burger. so yum. On top of the food, the bartenders and servers were every bit as friendly and welcoming as I would expect. Our server was even the tall, blond Scandinavian type they grow up in the tundra of Wisconsin. They even moved the tv's around for us so we could get a better view of the game on one of the 5 or so big screens. If you're not interested in fireball shots or chanting GPG in the middle of your Sunday afternoon, you're in the wrong place. We just moved to Boulder and are missing the nightlife of Seattle. We stumbled across the Attic after walking around forever on Pearl. The staff was super nice and the food was pretty yummy too. The atmosphere is a cross between a typical tavern (pool tables, games, etc) and a modern loft. The high ceilings and huge windows gave a really nice feel and it was nice to see art on the walls. read more

This spot is an awesome place where many college students and youngish locals hang--if they don't go to "Slumdowners" or "Catadumps" (aka, Sundowners and Catacombs). The Attic has got plenty of foosball and two FREE pool tables for those who enjoy boozy competition at unbeatably low prices. They also serve the best damn grilled cheese sandwiches in the world, along with other greasy yum yum hangover prevention plates until 1 AM. Some of the worst treatment I have ever received at a bar. First off, their atm would not accept a $20 bill to exchange for quarters and then after putting the twenty dollars in the dart machine it took the full amount in credits and even though we pushed the reject button to get our money back, it still would not send any coins. Any machine with a reject button should give the money back. After this happened we asked a waitress what was going on with the machine only to have her try to make us feel as though we were in the wrong by saying "why would you put $20 in that machine" and saying there was nothing they could do because they didn't have the key. After this we asked for the manager and our waitress came back after a few minutes with some darts for one game and said that is all they can do for us. We argued this and she said we can come talk to her manager who was working the bar. He was extremely rude and refused to make any accommodations. Overall just a very rude staff and games that will steal your money. Also if you call to complain, their phone number does not work. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

I can't possibly say enough great things about The Attic - it is simply my single all time favorite restaurant. From the excellent food (shockingly fresh and everything made in house) to the welcoming and friendly service from Andy and crew The Attic knows how to be a great pub/restaurant. It's also a place with a split personality offering fantastic bar fare for lunch (truly the best burgers, wraps, sandwiches and salads for lunch in Boulder) then offering a loud, vibrant bar atmosphere at night. Did I mention how great the food is? The Attic has a very varied menu and will easily customize any dish any way you'd like it (try the Chipotle Chicken sandwich as a wrap, it's fantastic). Oh my this place was awesome! It was upstairs and just really cool. There was a seated section and a section with pool tables, etc. Our waitress was very nice. We had delicious hummus with pita bread as an appetizer then had some awesome burgers. My husband had a burger that had two grilled cheeses in place of buns! Went to one bar looking for a particular college football game. They wouldn't change the tv to our game even though the game they had on was on multiple screens. So I searched Yelp for nearby sports bars. This was a great find. They were totally willing to put our game on. They had a great happy hour even on Saturday. Great tacos and sliders for $3. Went here on a Friday during spring break, I was excited because my girl is friends with one of the owners relatives and she told us we would be well taken care of. So we walk in and our contact owner wasn't there, not a big deal. We pull up to the bar, there are 4 guys at the other end, and a 2 top behind us, that's all! There was 1 bartender and 2 cocktail waitresses, so plenty of help there. The bartender was talking with the guys at the end, she walked past us to grab them a beer, ignored us and then went back to them. The cocktail waitress grabbed 2 beers for the other people in the bar and walked past us. The bartender then looked at us and then processed to not look again. This was 6:30-7 at night, not closing time, opening time, no excuse for no service at all. Unless we are out with our friend I highly doubt I'd ever give them my money. read more

Awesome food! Great Bartenders.... Went in on Sunday. The first bartender was extremely attentive. We were there for about an hour before her shift ended. We were sad to see her go because we were having such a good time. But the night bartender was equally as awesome and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The live music was a little loud but good. Free pool and plenty of games to keep u entertained. Fun bar! read more
