The Attic Guys did a great job. They were professional and courteous. They explained every step of the process, and allowed us to inspect every step along the way. The Attic Guys put covering on the flooring and walls in the areas that they worked to protect the floor and paint. We had to stop the job after the old insulation was removed and before the new insulation and radiant barrier were started in order to fix an issue that was not part of their work. The Attic Guys were very accommodating about rescheduling. It was fun to listen to the men work because they sang and laughed during the process. The review is 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a little worrisome a couple of times when they were unrolling and installing the radiant barrier. There were a couple of loud bangs and the ceiling shook quite a bit, but we spoke to them about it and fortunately no harm was done. We had rats scurrying around in the walls and attic before the Attic Guys came, but I haven't heard them since a day or so later when the rats realized they couldn't get into the attic anymore. It's been a couple of weeks now. Also, the house is staying warm this winter. When it's 40 - 50 degrees outside it stays about 60 degrees inside without the heater! read more

I recently had a family of raccoons in my attic and a co-worker recommended the Attic Guys. I called a few companies for estimates and the Attic Guys estimator was very professional and provided me with an estimate to remove all blown insulation, disinfect and replace new insulation. They were able to schedule the job to start in a week and the crew of 5 arrived on time and applied plastic over all furniture and walls in work area. Placed and taped heavy paper on all areas where crew walked. The crew was very professional and worked very hard with minimal breaks. Completed the job in 1.5 days. The foreman, Adrean took many pictures of before and after for my revise and discussed the current condition of the air ducts, there were many areas where the tubing was collapsed and torn, therefore the air was going into the attic. Adrian provided me with an estimate that day. A few days later I found one of my hanging lights in my kitchen was not working, I called Ashley in the office and she scheduled a person to come and check it out and fixed the loose wire in the attic on a timely bases. I decided to rehire the Attic guys based upon the great customer service I previously received and glad I did. I requested to send the same crew as previous job and they did a great job. Apparently there is a rat problem in the neighborhood and the little devils found the attic their home for many, many years. The quality of the job was first rate and it needed it to be. While the insulation needed to be replaced, the holes also needed to be fixed which they did. This is the first time I've ever written a Yelp review, and was compelled to do so given the excellent service provided by the Attic Guys. About 2 weeks ago, Ron the salesmen walked me through my attic and identified problem areas, including location of mouse droppings, where to look for rodent entry points into the attic, tips on baiting mouse traps, location of damaged air ducts, how rodents access the roof into the attic, etc. He was extremely patient and I thought went out of his way in giving me, quite frankly, a thorough training class on attic rodents. After receiving and reviewing the very fair estimate, we were provided excellent back office support on questions that were answered by Lew (Ron's manager). We subsequently hired them, and they are working in our attic right now. The team is led by Corey, who is also very professional and knowledgeable. They did a great job covering the traffic areas in the house before they started working. I have no doubt that the work performed in the attic will meet all expectations. First off, this is our first home and it's rather old which means it needed a little TLC. The previous owners had a rat problem for several years but didn't do anything about it besides leave traps around. After tirelessly researching the best attic and under foundation clean-up, I stumbled on The Attic Guys. I appreciated the free inspection from Lenell. He was extremely polite and informative. We schedule a clean-up just a few days after. About 6 men arrived within the 7am-9am window. They came in, introduced themselves and started taping away covers so the dust and debris wouldn't t get all over the place. Within 8 hours they cleaned up the entire attic, vacuumed, sanitized, removed the old insulation, installed new insulation and sealed any holes or cracks that served as entry points for the rats. I was working from home so I appreciated them keeping me in the loop the entire time. I like how efficient the work was and how well they did their job. We had a big rat problem in our attic. Tried a pest guy but all he did was set traps and empty them once a week. Waste of money-didn't solve the problem. Kept getting referred to different attic cleaning services because our attic had a lot of droppings. Attic guys were very responsive and gave a very fair estimate. I called another company who wanted to charge me twice the price. The job ended up taking twice as long as they thought but they spent four full days cleaning my attic, rodent proofing and another full day adding insulation. They even came back once after the job was done because we had some concerns rodents could still get through the cracks. I hired the Attic Guys to install blown-in insulation in my 1,600 sq. ft. attic. I got quotes from three companies and AG was the lowest, which is usually a red flag for me. But I felt so comfortable with the estimator Alfredo and with so many good Yelp reviews I gave them a shot. VERY glad I did! Communication with the office staff when setting up the order was smooth. On job day Lenell and his crew arrived on time. They were very friendly, professional and courteous. They worked hard and completed a difficult job (unusually low roof line) in only six hours, including a lunch break. They did a thorough prep job hanging plastic sheeting and covering floors to keep the dust mess to a minimum. I contacted Attic Guys about installing a Whole House Fan. Mike Priebus was by far the most knowledgeable person I spoke with about WHFs, so I went with them. They installed a Quiet Cool WHF and a Quiet Cool Attic Fan to boost my attic venting capacity. There were a few glitches in the installation process, but Attic Guys were VERY thorough and responsive in making sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. They also HEPA vacuumed my attic and lay down a sanitizer. I'd recommend this as a final step after fans are installed and attic venting is changed (if need be). Wow!!! Attic Guys took on my project with a large team of very respectful young men. It took them nearly one week to finish with: Radiant Barrier, Insulation and attic ladder installation. After everything was in place, like with any big construction project, there were areas which needed to be touched up (mainly all from the nails put in with the original construction of my home for the plaster on drywall ceilings) due to the pressure of the staple guns. Every item was fixed/repaired to perfection! Alfredo was my initial contact and continued to supervise this entire process and was very conscientious about finding anything that needed to be addressed and made me feel very calm that everything would be done right and it was!! I debated whether to write this review and what star rating to give, two or three. I decided on three stars only because the work was ultimately done. My house is a large one-story ranch style so I decided to replace the dirty insulation in sections consistent with the design of the house. The guys who came the first time removed more insulation in the designated section then they replaced, leaving large areas with no insulation at all. While they were working, I asked them if there were any additional problems we needed to address in the attic and they said no, it was all good to go. At no time did they say, hey, we don't have enough insulation to cover the area we removed. Instead, they left me with large uncovered areas which I only learned about because my AC/Heater repair guy took pics for me the next day. A different crew came out the second time to complete the job because I insisted that the first crew stay off my property. The second crew actually hung the protective clear sheets you see on their website to protect my walls. The first crew didn't do that, either. I'm not sure I'll have this company come do the other two sections of the house and replace my ducts after this experience. My recommendation is that you inspect the attic before they leave and if you're unable to get up there yourself, find someone who can do it for you. Don't rely on their word. read more

I hired the Attic Guys to remove old insulation and install R-38 fiberglass batt insulation in my attic. A crew of 5 arrived on time, placed coverings over my hallway floor and walls and then vacuumed out the old insulation, installed the new, decontaminated the attic, and made it rat proof by placing mesh coverings over any openings. They finished the job in about 6 hours and left everything clean. I was very satisfied with their work. read more

My husband and I am extremely happy with the final results of the work done in our attic by the ATTIC GUYS. They first came to the house on 11/28/2016 and was done the same day. The next day I went up the attic to take a look and it didn't seem to be what I expected and I told my husband about it. The ads look great, and Quinton, the rep who did initial inspection and quote is nice, helpful and returns calls. The areas that have been finished are looking good, but ...... I also have trouble reaching their office by phone. Let me say, the crew have all been very polite. It seems to be a management issue. Day 1. The crew came out. A couple of guys from Riverside were on time and the Anaheim crew were late. They began, pulled old insulation out, checked with me on a couple of items, and continued to vacuum rat debris and remove insulation. They said they would return with the 'big vacuum'. Day 2. Same as before, the Riverside guys were on time the Anaheim crew was late. I helped unload batt insulation from delivery truck into my garage, because he was waiting on the crew. (It's still in my garage 3 weeks later) Still vacuuming rat debris and removing insulation. Half the crew left to finish another job. They did not bring the big vacuum. Little vacuum fell through my ceiling. Riverside guys quit. I had allowed 4 days to finish the job before my schedule closed. I only have weekends available now. 21 DAYS later, hottest days of the year, 3/4 of the home has no insulation and the job is not finished. Ceiling is still not repaired. Insulation still not completely removed. Rat feces still in the attic, even in the areas where new insulation is being installed, and my Air Conditioner is running A LOT. This may still resolve well, but it has not been an easy or painless process, and I'm really concerned about my upcoming utility bill, especially with the new rates from SDGE. I'm expecting a utility bill of nearly one thousand dollars. Attic Guys bid was for 2500sf @ 5600.00. read more

We are working on a remodel and needed insulation installed in our attic and the rest of our home where studs were exposed. I had a couple of bids and Attic Guys was reasonable. Brian came out for the estimate and was honest with what we needed. I had a bit of trouble scheduling the install date with their office due to supply issues. I contacted Brian to confirm what other options I had because we had other dependencies for this phase to be completed and didn't want delays. And Brian was AMAZING, he coordinated to get my materials in so that I wouldn't have to push the install out later. Day of the install, Brian meet me in the morning with the job site lead Ezell. Brian provided periodic updates throughout the day. The team was amazing, the original timeline was two days to complete the work, they were able to bring in a larger crew that day and completed the job in one day. We closed on our 1950 Lakewood home in June and discovered the previous owner was living with rats in the attic and in the home. A friend recommended a crime scene clean-up company and they wanted to charge me more than I paid for the house. But the Attic Guys came in and did the work at a very reasonable price. Their crew was funny and professional at the same time...something that is desperately needed when you are trying to recover from the fact that you bought a house that already has tenants :( Ezell and crew made our home inhabitable in just one day...the crime scene company said it would take 300 hours or more and they couldnt' guarantee that it would be done in less than 5 days. We bought a house that needed tlc. The attic always bothered me because i felt like i can smell rodent urine in our ac vents. Sure enough when i went into the attic. There was a very strong urine smell and holes in the ac vents. I had a couple of duct contractors come by that said it was one of the strongest smelling attics that he has been through. I called the attic guys to clean up the attic and hopefully get the smell out by replacing the batts insulation. I chose to go with blown in cellulose, the price was one of the better ones that I got. He also mentioned that they do duct repairs. Their quote for the replacing the ducts was cheaper than the other quotes and only twice as much as getting them cleaned. Which is a great price. The job took a little longer than it shouldve because they took more breaks than i expected, but i dont blame them because thatis a tough job. We re-roofed our house a few years ago. This Fall, we needed to replace our heating unit located in the attic and were horrified at the amount of roofing and other debris left up there.
