A gem in the middle of Studio City!! Seriously, the most courteous staff and professional OD I've ever had. Costco is impersonal and this other OD I visited in Burbank literally did not care about helping me, but Attitude goes above and beyond. Dr. Jennifer is knowledgeable and helpful. I was just coming in for a standard yearly eye exam and she diagnosed my itchy eyes as a symptom of oily eye glands. When I went to an optometrist in Burbank, he just laughed at me and told me I had allergies. I'd been resigned for a FULL YEAR that I just had stupid allergies. Dr Jennifer told me to put a warm compress and buy some lid wipes to use for a few weeks until the itchiness was gone.Really grateful I had her as an optometrist! That was last year, I came in for another appointment this year for a glasses/contact lens update prescription. Pretty standard and she recommended eye gel for my dry eyes. She's super attentive and actually cares about her patients, which I think is why it's worth the drive to head here for an appt when I have any issues. Attitude Optometry is located in the same plaza as the Ralphs and Rite Aid. Might be a little hard to spot, because this place is towards the back, but if you want to go to a great optometrist with very helpful staff, come here! read more

If you are worried about any best practices during Covid, go here. We've been going to Attitude for two years and it's been a good experience. However we held off because of the pandemic. That's close quarters and it's freaky. However Attitude Optometry is the first place of business in five minutes where I felt completely comfortable. The reason this company has a lot of five star reviews is because they have a sign on the counter when you come in asking people to review them. I bought glasses from them, they broke in less than 2 months. They wanted me to pay for a repair. I went to the France Vision Center on Olympic blvd. They fixed them for free. In addition to that Attitude Optometry charges $25.00 to show you how to put contacts in. France Vision center there is no charge. France Vision center is cheaper and they have every variety of glasses including Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews. Attitude Optometry is working the system. read more

My son needed glasses. We have good vision insurance, but I had a bad experience at LensCrafters a couple years ago, and wasn't sure where to go. A friend recommended Attitude Optometry, and boy am I glad she did! They were so friendly, the Doctor was thorough, and my son was happy. In addition, I appreciated how open the staff was about the prices of frames, and how much our insurance would cover. They will also e-mail me my son's prescription so I can order a cheaper spare pair online, after a few months of making sure my son's prescription works for him. Been coming here for over a year, it's very convenient since I live nearby and there's plenty of parking in the shopping center anchored by Ralph's. when looking for Attitude, it's next to Starbucks beneath the escalators. The doctor has a nice range of glasses to select from and she's able to keep me in my insurance plan range. Recently I changed insurance and she's still able to work me in (today I went in without appointment). I was trying on new glasses and she noticed I'm blind without my contacts so she gave me a free pair of contacts so i could see myself in the mirror with different pairs of glasses! The doctor responded, but I believe she's being dishonest. I was never told by her or her employee that she would be with me after she saw another patient and I was never told how long I was expected to stand there waiting. This was not the fault of her new employee: it was SOLELY her fault. She says I never gave her a chance to apologize but she never had any intention of apologizing. I was sitting in the exam chair when I asked if she'd intended on apologizing and she showed me her booking system and showed me on the screen where it was cancelled. There are a lot of good eye doctors in the area. I really can't say enough time how much I think Dr. Bartolome is unprofessional. If she can't run an office or extend simple manners, I question her ability to care for your eyes. read more

I had been going to Attitude for several years and have seen both their past doctor and the new one as well. In the beginning I liked the quality of their service.They have a very nice store with excellent eye glass selections. I was quite satisfied. I found that the past few times I went in my prescription never really felt quite right even after several appointments. The price they quoted me on the phone was different from what they actually charged me because according to the front counter guy it didn't include the fitting. Would have been nice to know this up front. Despite how expensive they have become they still try to coerce you into buying lenses from them. The first time they said the lenses I chose aren't available online. Not true I found them easily. Then another time they claimed their prices were better. One employee even showed me some website with similar rates as theirs. I said I'd wait, went home and found the lenses on several sites for much less than they charged. Listen, I know they need to make an income, but don't try to deceive me. If they had been willing to meet the online price even part way I would have been happy to buy the lenses from them. For my most recent exam I went to Costco because of reviews here, not only was the exam more thorough it also cost half as much. Guess I should look up reviews more often myself. read more

I was on vacation and decided to get a new pair of prescription sunglasses, maybe some contacts. I was staying in Studio City and found this shop. I didn't have an appointment, but Dr. Bartolome was able to see me after she finished with another customer. While I waited, I was helped by Rhex, who I later found out was Dr. B's husband. He was very helpful and patient. (I'm very picky). They had a great selection, and I had a full tray of options. It was hard to pick just one. Alas, I was able to find the frames for me. Dr. B is super friendly, and I felt very comfortable during the exam. I learned that I have astigmatism, and the prescription we settled on ended up being way more comfortable then my day to day glasses. I'm on the computer all day and she also gave me some tips to rest my eyes during work. Now, I've never had contacts, and I asked Dr. B a bunch of questions about putting them on and off. She actually sat down with me, was very patient, and helped me put on my first pair of contacts! Which is not easy. I doubt she always has the time, but I got the sense that if she does she'll give you extra attention. I didn't feel rushed and for a guy that just came off the street with no appointment I felt welcome. Anyway, I was very satisfied with the level of service and professionalism. My wife and I have been going to Attitude Optometry for over 10 years now. Their service has been unmatched to any other eye doctor I have ever been to. They not only know you by name, but they also go the extra mile to help you get the best service possible. I have never had to wait. Sometimes I pop in unannounced to get glasses re-adjusted or ask a quick question. Stewart always makes you feel comfortable and is genuinely a super nice guy. He as well has helped my wife and I pick out frames on several occasions. Just recently I purchased a new pair of frames at a very reasonable price which I wear more than my contacts now, just because of the positive feedback I have received from friends and family. The doctor is always asking how things are with me and asks about my wife. She always takes her time to give me the best personalized professional service possible. To me, that is probably the most important thing. We use to be able to walk there, but we have moved in the last few years, so now we drive. I love this place and cannot understand why they are negative. Stuart is fantastic and patient. And, the Dr. gave me the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. Also, they even adjusted my sunglasses when I didn't purchase my sunglasses from them. They are wonderful and courteous. I guess you can't please everyone but I don't think they deserve the negative stars/reviews here. This place is exceptional, detail oriented and friendly. Just because the Dr. is out and cannot see you right then and there doesn't mean you're entitled to bitch about it. So, if the Dr. is out then come back. I don't know what doctor does give up on her patient and send her to another doctor. Doctor Jennifer Bartolome designed contact lenses for me 4 times and I had to go there almost every week, and last week when I tried my last contact lenses (which according to her those were exactly as my current ones), they still didn't work. After all going back and forth, charged me for copay for my contact lenses that I never received, charged me again for her time, she asked me to see another doctor. Who does that? so Basically I paid $130 for nothing. Who will compensate me for my time? I know my eyes condition is making hard for optometrist to find a good fit contact lenses, but is this allow her to charge me and send me away. So apparently, this doctor only has knowledge for easy cases not complicated ones. During my visits, I heard her saying "I don't know", "I'm confused", or etc. Soooooooooooooooooo frustrated. I'm 61 years old and went to 3 different optometrists​​ 5 years ago. Every time I​​ got my glasses they never worked, so I finally gave up and started useing off the rack glasses that worked better but not perfect. As time went on, my eyes were getting worse. Then my daughter told me about Attitude Optometry. So I thought I would give it another try but I was skeptical. I explained my past experience​ to them and they told me that there should be no reason for my situation​. As they examine my eyes, I notice that it was much more thorough​ than the other places I had gone to and this gave me hope that they could do the job. When I went back to pick up my glasses, it was like a miracle​! I can finally​​ see like I did when I was young and my eyes were healthy! I came from being stuck using Kaiser only optometrists to having the ability to go anywhere and to any doctor. Dr. Bartolome provided the best experience I've ever had with my eye care. She was very flexible (I tend to run late everywhere I go, I was late and called to let her know and she said she could still squeeze me in if I could wait until after she took the next appt) she took her time with me choosing frames for eyeglasses and sunglasses. She never tried to up sell me and was honest with me about how frames looked (there where some that were really cute in the display but -I knew- looked terrible on me. I wanted them to look good so badly, but she kept it real. I recommend going here if you want an optometrist who is knowledgable, honest, and will try to accommodate patients if it's in her ability if you're a little late. There is a comfy couch to relax while you wait and her office is conveniently located near shops if you have to wait like I did- which made it a painless wait. Plus it doesn't hurt that she's young and hip- and carries some of the coolest frames I've seen in a single display case since EVER. read more

If you have VSP or EYEMED insurance, it's accepted here. The optometrist Jennifer Bartolome, O.D., is thorough and gentle. She has a lot of the new machines that examine the eye. There's no pressure to buy frames, low key. They have a decent selection of stylish frames which range in price from moderate to designer priced. Bring your old glasses so they can scan the prescription. I got Ray-Ban frames in purple and white for a reasonable price. You can go in for a readjustment whenever the frames get lose. They actually CALL YOU for your annual exam! Well run, friendly, but low key. read more

This is place is AWESOME!!! I have 20/20 vision but I like to get my eyes checked "just in case." Dr. Bartolome did a super thorough exam and confirmed my notion that I have 20/20 vision. She didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need or want and she is genuinely a sweet loving person. She smiles for everything and that made my experience even that much more wonderful. There is a guy at the front named Stuart and he too has a contagious smile. Dr. Jen Bartolome just recently bought this practice from the previous owner and I don't know what she was like but I do know that Dr. Jen takes her job very seriously and all she wants to do is help you. So having said that I have 20/20 vision I couldn't help but notice their AMAZING selection of sunglasses. From Gucci, Tory Burch, Ray Bans, Paul Frank and so many others I wanted them all. The previous optometrist may have had some bad reviews but I honestly cannot image Dr. Jen having any. She is way too sweet, honest and nice to get anything less than 5 stars. Had my eye exam, they got my prescription totally wrong. I had to come back in to get rechecked. The doctor was rude, spent a few minutes then said if you like your old prescription we'll just write you that one. Bottom line - bad eye exam and I left with the same prescription not knowing if anything had changed or not with. Edit - The Doctor reached out to me after reading this review to ask me to come in again for a visit. I commend her effort for trying to make things right. I am also a physician and I understand that mistakes happen sometimes, no one is expected to be perfect. However, at my second visit when I came in panicked about my eye sight I was treated rudely and rushed out with almost zero intent to address my visual health or whatever error was made. At the end of that visit when I was sent out with my old prescription they did not offer a follow up, they didn't ask me to call if I still had problems, I was given my old scrip and sent off. This doctor not only would not acknowledge her mistake but basically was rude and inattentive in dealing with it. It was only after I posted my review that I had any attention from the doctor. Maybe if your eyes are fine it's ok to come here. I will personally seek eye care elsewhere read more

I went into this location yesterday to ask about my glasses--that I didn't even get here--and the doctor very kindly examined them and told me what the issue was with them. I went to the mall for my eye exam and glasses because it was covered by my insurance, but twice, the mall has messed up my prescription. Facility is lovely and they always seem to get me in right away. Prices seem fair and the location is great! But the best part is the customer service. I needed new contacts ASAP but I was having issues with my insurance. Every office I called was polite but told me they could not see me till June. However, the receptionist at Attitude ( I think Alexis?) suggested she call my insurance and see if they can get me covered now! I was blown away!
