The lady doctor was so patronizing that I couldn't wait to get out of there. Plus she tried to sell me their contacts for 30/box when you can get them on-line for 1/2 the price. I had my eye test done at Attitude Optometry, and it was well worth the $60. The optometrist was friendly, thorough, asked a lot of questions before and during the examination, and made some helpful recommendations at the end. I didn't plan on purchasing lenses or glasses that day, but I did notice that they had a decent selection of very nice frames and an extensive range of lenses. Attitude optometry is one of my favorite optometry offices, although it is a drive from where I am. Dr. Bartolome is a genuine, stand up optometrist, takes her time and gives great advice whenever I need it. I had iritis from being hit in the eye with a ball and she was practically able to diagnose it over the phone, although I did see an ophthalmologist the next day. I'm giving this place a 5 star rating based on multiple visits to the store. I've been a customer of Attitude Optometry for seven years now, and I can honestly say I've received the best, most personalized service I've ever received from an optometrist. The doctor gives through eye exams and actually remembers who you are. In contrast, I used to go to Linden Optometry in Pasadena, where a different doctor saw me on each visit. One time I went to Attitude Optometry to see the doctor because my eye had swollen. The doctor saw me without an appointment and determined that I had pink eye. She gave me some drops for my eye and sent me home with a medical excuse not to go to work. But the real heart of this establishment is the optician, Stewart. He's been in the business for a good 20 years, some in London, but most of it in Los Angeles. Stewart is attentive and very knowledgeable and has an eye for picking out frames. Between my brother and I, he's probably helped us pick out 6 to 7 prescription glasses and sunglasses. He's always been helpful on the small stuff as well--things like adjustments to the glasses, getting replacement lenses (because of scratches), getting a new case, etc. I can't say enough about the level of service and professionalism of this place. You're not going to get this level of customer service, especially after you've already purchased your glasses, at other sales-driven optometrist stores. The place is located in a strip mall on Ventura Blvd, right across from a Starbucks Coffee. You get all kinds of foot traffic in that area, including celebrities, people who hit you up for change, musicians etc. I wouldn't judge the establishment based upon the foot traffic outside (as one YELP reviewer did), but on the quality of the service inside. Mention "Liverpool" to the optician, Stewart, and you're likely to get even more favorable treatment! read more

Went in there to get my 6 year old's eyes tested. To my surprise, the female optometrist said she needed reading glasses. OK. I trust the doctor. My daughter wears glasses for a year. Get her eyes tested somewhere else. They say she never needed glasses. So my daughter has to go through the trauma of wearing unnecessary glasses for a year so someone can make a sale? Horrible. Dr. Bartolome and the staff of Attitude Optometry are methodical, helpful and patient. The eye exams are thorough and Dr. Bartolome takes her time and answers every question fully and with enthusiasm; her dedication to her profession is apparent. My teens are also patients and they like going there because the staff are young and friendly and the selection of frames is very comprehensive, whilst I appreciate how every cost is explained and the fact that the Dr. works with her patients to keep the costs down. The staff at Attitude Optometry truly understand how hard it is to select frames and they were very honest with their opinions on what style suited my face, even though it meant I would be purchasing one of their least expensive frames. When I found I couldn't adapt to progressive lenses the Dr. made an exchange and was meticulous in ensuring the new glasses worked for me. I'm very pleased to have found such a friendly and efficient optometry office and will be recommending it to my friends and family. Dr. Bartolome ROCKS. To say she's a good optometrist is an understatement. She's passionate about what she does and it shows. She takes her time with me, she easily answers every question with care and detail, she surrounds herself with a super competent staff and the best thing? She is a truly kind human. I saw the doctor today, for a routine exam and fitting for contact lenses. For the first time in several years, I am typing this without my glasses/contacts combination. She also noted some possible serious health issues, based on her observation of changes in the blood vessels of my eyes. She's made a change in the brand of contact lenses as well. At her recommendation, I see my primary physician tomorrow for likely vascular issues. I can't recommend them more highly. read more

Every time I come in they front desk girls are always very polite and fun to talk to. The doctor is knowledgable and very personable making me feel at ease even though it had been quite some time since I'd been to an eye doctor. I've never written a review but felt after THIS experience, I must! This O.D. is the WORST in so many areas of business and customer service !st. I just learned the "VERY custom" contacts she fitted me with at $75. a box, I can get for $46. a box. Dr. Rouya made me believe I was getting such a very special contact "just for me" BULLSHIT! #2. 2 weeks ago, my last contact fresh out of the package tore so with only one contact in I rush down to the office and explain what happened and could they please give me a trial or something. The man behind the counter pointed to a sign and said, that is not our fault and besides, your contact is "SO SPECIAL" we don't carry any extra's here. I've worn contacts for 15 years, only one other time have I been in this situation and my last doctor handed me a months supply of lenses...when I only needed 1. THIS place turned me away and said, the doctor is gone for 3 days, talk to her when she gets here...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The Blessing in all this is I found the SAME contacts for almost 1/2 the price. Oh and by the way I have NEVER seen a business in this beautiful area with a chain and lock on the front door that's fit for a castle...the thing is HUGE!! it says, I don't trust people (just my opinion) and I also agree with William F...she preaches some sort of spirituality and does talk to you like a child....she's a CON Artist, OVER PRICED and HEARTLESS. read more

ABSOLUTELY fantastic in all departments. The most thorough eye exam I have EVER had in my life. Optometrist was extremely thorough and after the exam she offered me a pair of trail frames with my new prescription so I could walk around the store and test out the new prescription, absolutely the very first time an eye doctor has done that as part of their exam, and I have been wearing glasses for over 40 years. I have never seen so clear in my life. I was also tested for contact lenses too and since I've had eye infections before due to using my contacts for longer than I should have and also was buying them from discount places as soon as I was given a pair of contacts at this office, contact lenses never felt this good in my eyes. There is a very extensive range of choices in terms of frames to choose from, frames that were very reasonably priced compared to most places I have been to. BUT the best thing about the frame selection is the BRILLIANT optician that works there. He knows his frames and selected a few frames for me that worked perfectly, he wasn't pushy as has been my experiences with opticians, he was simply looking for a pair of frames I would be comfortable in and also ones that would give me a look I wanted. The optician was extremely helpful, even going as far as popping out sunglass lenses out of a pair of sunglasses so I could try the frame on to see if I liked them without dark lenses, so very accommodating and simply the BEST optical experience I have ever had and I've worn eyeglasses for over 40 years. A really great experience as I was made comfortable and it seemed everything that was done was for me to have a smooth experience having my eyes tested, fitted with contact lenses and also selecting a cool pair of frames. The exams are very thorough and friendly, as she actually corrected my contact lenses that were ill fitting from a previous optometrist.
