This is a highly disorganized operation so if you're counting on getting your food quickly or efficiently (as you might expect from a food truck) then you're in for major disappointment. The staff had no idea what was going on. Once you pay there is no communication from the truck to the staff in the grill tent. Everyone is surprised when you ask for the status of your order. Then finally someone acknowledges that he's working on your order but then randomly disappears. There is also definitely a language barrier as the staff cannot understand basic English words or questions. Saw several patrons getting upset and yelling at the staff from frustration. All this chaos might have been tolerable if the food met expectations but unfortunately it didn't! The prices are also steep for what it is. The malai paneer tikka was covered in a flavorless white sauce which might have just been plain cream - and the paneer didn't even taste grilled - all this after we waited like 45 minutes for this one dish. The dahi chaat was off balance because the yogurt was pre-sweetened - so then it became overwhelmingly sweet with the addition of the tamarind sauce. We also ordered the rasmalai but we threw it away after one bite because of the overpowering artificial rose flavor they added to it. They even put in a dessert to make up for the fact that we had to drive back, Ambience: it's a food truck so not the nicest since it's a parking lot but they had a cool sit down area they share with the taco truck. They also have a pani puri stand where you can watch them assemble and also make the sugar cane juice. Food: Samosa chaat: was amazing and very flavorful. Definitely our favorite. I would want to come back and try the pani puri and other chaats since this dish was so good and their chutneys are clearly delicious. Handi Chicken: first I found this way too oily (or I guess gheey). Then personally I did not care for the taste. Flavors were a bit too earthy. Cashew cream on the side didn't add much flavor. Paneer Lababdor: again too much oil/ghee. I liked the cashew base here more than the chicken. But overall wasn't the most flavorful curry again didn't feel like the cream on the side added much. I stopped by here with a friend and ordered achari soya chaap and chicken lababdar combo. The combo comes with rice, 2 roti, and some yogurt. I was curious to find out that combo and normal order were same pricing but in reality, if you just order the curry you get a bigger container, I guess the 16 oz one, and with combo you get 8 oz. Nevertheless, I believe the owner and staff here were very well organized and friendly. They grill the chaap in front of you and it smells just amazing. There are some tables to sit down and a lot of people can be seen eating atop their cars. The soya chaap was just amazing. My friend recommended achari soya chaap because it has better marination and at the end it also gets served in the cream sauce similar to afghani chaap. I thought the chutney on the side didn't have much appeal to the body or to the taste. But soya chaap was just amazing. I wanted to try handi chicken but it's not boneless, so my friend preferred chicken lababdar and it also didn't disappoint us. You can think of it as more spice rich and flavorful butter chicken. It was just amazing and the combo was right enough to fill us up. They also have live jalebi, pani puri, and other such stuff. I overheard one manager talking to customer about how their sugarcanes today aren't sweet enough even after couple of different batches he had tried so he was asking them to take something else as alternative or he can refund them. I stopped by this place on Diwali Day this year. Firstly, the vibe was chill with a few food trucks (Indian and Mexican) serving casual fare. However, their tandoor grilled paneer was PHENOMENAL. I ordered the malai paneer tikka. It took a while to cook, but it was fresh grilled paneer, cooked with a very flavorful mix of spices in a sauce made out of heavy cream. The dish was very rich, and one portion felt quite filling for 2 of us. However, it is the best paneer I have had in the Bay Area. Definitely worth a try! We also got Kadhi Chawal which was delicious, albeit a little spicy for my taste, and dahi puri. I was surprised by the fact that this food truck adds black grams and dry fruits to their pani puri / dahi puri, making it full of protein! I would consider ordering again. Took a star off because I didn't like how it was served on a simple biodegradable plate. The chicken curry was served in a small plastic container, and the rest was on a plate. I had to ask for another plate to be able to somewhat cover the food. It would have been better if they packaged the food in a better more togo style container rather than a simple open faced plate. Never judge a book by its cover, although Atulya Bharat is a food truck, it has one of the best Northern Indian food I've tried. :P Everything was so flavorful!! So good! I can't wait to come back. I usually don't like lentils, but the lentils here was delicious. It was perfect with the Handi Chicken (must order) and the Makai ki chaat (corn), which tasted like an Indian version of elote but more refreshing than creamy. I have been wanting to try this food truck for a long time. We ordered gol gappas, paneer lababdar and afghan malai chaap. The gol gappas had 3 kinds of water: mint, sweet and one more which I don't remember. The person serving the gol gappas was really good. He even made our chaap order on time. While we loved the efficient handling of our order taking ( & especially loved the cute way, the lady who took our order pronounced the names of the dishes ) we were a bit apprehensive whether the food would taste as authentic as when Chef Atulya is around . But we needn't have worried ! So we got our favorites - Rajma Masala and Bhuna Ghosht . The Rajma Masala was just as superb as we have become accustomed to and expect from chef Atulya. The Rajma, which was cooked to perfection, was soft and velvety . The masala too was thick, tasty and with the subtle use of the main spices, this was Chef Atulya at his best! As always! The Bhuna Ghosht was also just as incredible as it always is. Succulent fall-of-the-bone meat and spices that made up the gravy were so subtle and yet aromatic and flavorful. Waah! Lajawab! Is what comes to mind (Translates from Hindi to " Wow !" "Wonderful! " ) And the fact that we had gone to get them, rather than getting them delivered through Door-dash, ensured they stayed piping hot till they were served! We had a feast! Who doesn't love food trucks? Atulya Bharat has it all. The most important is the food. It has it is spades. The samosa chaat was perfect. Crisp and crunchy samosa with amazing chole. And the treat was a live pani puri stand. 3 flavors of pani and the puri's are from Pani Puri company so you know they are using the best ingredients. The guy even made me a special sukha puri for the last one. So yeah, the food is awesome. And the rest of the experience was great too. The problem with food trucks is usually you get the food, but then what. AB has plenty of tables and chairs for you to sit on and enjoy your food. They are under a nice pop up canopy tent and some fun sting lights with a disco ball. Music playing in the background, good food, nice drinks. It's a great spot to have a wonderful meal! read more

They were very busy even though it was late at night and that is always a good sign. The food was really good and definitely stands out in the sea of Indian restaurants in the South Bay. We are a foodie who likes to find new things in Bay Area, and with so many food trucks happening, you need to filter it out and just revisit to the place that really serve authentic food. Atulya Bharat deliver Northern part cuisine of India. What we tried: 1. Palak Pakodi Chaat. This is fried spinach drizzled with three different sauces. Mint, tamarind, and yogurt. The combination flavors are BOMB. I have never tried Indian street food that delivers so much flavors like this appetizer. 2. Samosa Chaat. This is crunchy samosa that has chickpeas, served with tamarind, mint and yogurt. Very delicious and comforting at the same time. 3. Desi Sliders. Potatoes with peas samosas served with mint and tamarind sauce. Very innovative to serve it with sliders, and so fulfilling for appetizer too! For the Combo we tried: 4. Handi Chicken. It comes with rice + 2 roti OR 1 paratha. Sauce is amazing, and they use bone in chicken to enhance the chicken flavor, which I think that's brilliant idea instead of using chicken breast without bone. 5. Paneer Labdaar. It also comes with rice + 2 roti OR 1 paratha. This is my favorite dish amongst all. Because the flavor just hit the spot. I have never tried curry as this flavorful from my previous visits in any Indian restaurant in my whole life. This dish is also perfect for vegan/vegetarian option. The food truck is located in front of H-Mart grocery store in S De Anza Blvd. Parking can be at Mcd next place. Some people eat conveniently at the car, or table on the spot. Atulya Bharat is specifically delivers northern Indian cuisine. What's make the very flavorful is they use home roasted spices, organic without using any food coloring, additives, or preservative. They also use healthy ingredients such as cashew instead of coconut milk or heavy cream. Overall, a decent food truck with simple dishes but not a Bib Gourmand Food Truck deserving 5 Stars. The prices are not reasonable, food is ok, quantity is small compared to a takeout from a good restaurant like Satkar or Madras Cafe or another place. There is no particular dish which stands out compared to Keeku da Dhaba in Fremont (buttery chicken tikka and paneer tikka kabobs) or Johal's food truck in Sunnyvale known for its Amritsari Kulche. The service is quick ~10 mins wait and the staff is cordial. Parking may be a challenge as the gas station is small. There is a table which seats 4. We had a good experience the one time we visited this place. But lately with the new location and the increased menu options, and the overworked staff, I'm not very comfortable with the food hygiene practices I have seen when I recently checked this place out. This was my first time trying Atulya Bharat and it did not disappoint at all! There's a wide selection of veg and non veg choices on their menu, but I asked for the chef to recommend whichever he thought was best for a first timer (preferably veg).... All I have to say is WOW! The Chola Kulcha was incredible and cooked to perfection. Very light and not too salty, and the spices blended gave an incredible taste. It's a food truck for a reason - like a well hidden secret in the back bones of Sunnyvale, it's almost too good of a place once you experience it. 10/10 and the chai at the end was fantastic as well. The staff and chef were both so kind and I truly recommend this as your one stop Indian food place to go. This place is a hidden gem in the South Bay. Opened a few months back, this food truck is possibly the best one I have discovered so far. The quality and authenticity of the food is truly delightful. I stumbled upon this place while browsing Yelp and decided to check it out looking at the menu. The menu is a mix of Indian chaat (street food ) and comfort food entrees. The taste and quality is on par with what you would find in the streets of Delhi. We tried the Amritsari Chole Kulche which was perfect- the Kulche was soft, flavorful and perfectly textured and chole was no frills, nailed the taste test. The Kadi rice was perfect comfort food. Had a chance to chat with chef Atulya who really seemed passionate about the food he was making and had a very simple principle of keeping the food simple and delicious.
