Service: really great for a food truck. We forgot part of our order and they went out of their way to make sure we got it. They even put in a dessert to make up for the fact that we had to drive back, Ambience: it's a food truck so not the nicest since it's a parking lot but they had a cool sit down area they share with the taco truck. They also have a pani puri stand where you can watch them assemble and also make the sugar cane juice. Food: Samosa chaat: was amazing and very flavorful. Definitely our favorite. I would want to come back and try the pani puri and other chaats since this dish was so good and their chutneys are clearly delicious. Handi Chicken: first I found this way too oily (or I guess gheey). Then personally I did not care for the taste. Flavors were a bit too earthy. Cashew cream on the side didn't add much flavor. Paneer Lababdor: again too much oil/ghee. I liked the cashew base here more than the chicken. But overall wasn't the most flavorful curry again didn't feel like the cream on the side added much. Overall 3.5 rounding up. I would come back for the chaats and skip the curry.

I stopped by here with a friend and ordered achari soya chaap and chicken lababdar combo. The combo comes with rice, 2 roti, and some yogurt. I was curious to find out that combo and normal order were same pricing but in reality, if you just order the curry you get a bigger container, I guess the 16 oz one, and with combo you get 8 oz. Nevertheless, I believe the owner and staff here were very well organized and friendly. They grill the chaap in front of you and it smells just amazing. There are some tables to sit down and a lot of people can be seen eating atop their cars. The soya chaap was just amazing. My friend recommended achari soya chaap because it has better marination and at the end it also gets served in the cream sauce similar to afghani chaap. I thought the chutney on the side didn't have much appeal to the body or to the taste. But soya chaap was just amazing. I wanted to try handi chicken but it's not boneless, so my friend preferred chicken lababdar and it also didn't disappoint us. You can think of it as more spice rich and flavorful butter chicken. It was just amazing and the combo was right enough to fill us up. They also have live jalebi, pani puri, and other such stuff. I overheard one manager talking to customer about how their sugarcanes today aren't sweet enough even after couple of different batches he had tried so he was asking them to take something else as alternative or he can refund them. I thought these are small things that probably help them build a loyal customer base, if you stay loyal to your taste. I'll surely love to visit this place again.

I stopped by this place on Diwali Day this year. Firstly, the vibe was chill with a few food trucks (Indian and Mexican) serving casual fare. However, their tandoor grilled paneer was PHENOMENAL. I ordered the malai paneer tikka. It took a while to cook, but it was fresh grilled paneer, cooked with a very flavorful mix of spices in a sauce made out of heavy cream. The dish was very rich, and one portion felt quite filling for 2 of us. However, it is the best paneer I have had in the Bay Area. Definitely worth a try! We also got Kadhi Chawal which was delicious, albeit a little spicy for my taste, and dahi puri. I was surprised by the fact that this food truck adds black grams and dry fruits to their pani puri / dahi puri, making it full of protein! Overall service was quick and we were done with our meal in ~30 minutes.

Great food truck. They have outdoor seating options or take away. We had keema paav, bhuna gosht and kadhi pakora. Everyone was happy with the food. You can either have combo or order bread and curry separately. They had paani puri options as well. This was the best outdoor food i had in California.

I tried Atulya Bharat when they came to California State University, East Bay on a Thursday for lunch service. Quite a few items on the menu to choose from, which was great. I ordered the Handi Chicken Combo, which came with chicken, basmati rice and some veggies. The chicken was very tender and the curry that it was simmered in was delicious. I would consider ordering again. Took a star off because I didn't like how it was served on a simple biodegradable plate. The chicken curry was served in a small plastic container, and the rest was on a plate. I had to ask for another plate to be able to somewhat cover the food. It would have been better if they packaged the food in a better more togo style container rather than a simple open faced plate. The customer service was decent, the people working their were friendly and approachable to questions.

They have shifted to a new location from today which is 1073 E El Camino Real Sunnyvale & their new timings are from noon to 9 pm every day ( 7 days in a week). Perfect rainy weather for some Bhuna Ghost & Rajma Masala. So I called & ordered via phone did a quick pickup this location has nice parking spaces since there are so many business around in the area. As always both the dishes were delectable and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Will go back again for more dishes from their menu.

I got takeout from here last night. I've gotten takeout from here before but somehow this time, it didn't quite taste as good. I loved the smell of the food, the spices and the aroma just came together really well. But when I took the first bite, didn't quite taste as good as it smelt. It lacked flavor and maybe salt. The samosa chat was pretty good though. The chicken curry was cooked well, I liked the curry better than the meat pieces. Rotis were good too. Overall, an average.

Never judge a book by its cover, although Atulya Bharat is a food truck, it has one of the best Northern Indian food I've tried. :P Everything was so flavorful!! So good! I can't wait to come back. I usually don't like lentils, but the lentils here was delicious. It was perfect with the Handi Chicken (must order) and the Makai ki chaat (corn), which tasted like an Indian version of elote but more refreshing than creamy. Both the Vegan Keema Pav and Bhuna Gosht were super tasty. Don't forget their infamous Pani Puri and Dahi Puri- it was so much fun watching them make it. These were so delicious! Crunchy, savory and sweet- little pieces of heaven. Make sure to order extra food, the left-overs were so good for brunch the next day.

I have been wanting to try this food truck for a long time. We ordered gol gappas, paneer lababdar and afghan malai chaap. The gol gappas had 3 kinds of water: mint, sweet and one more which I don't remember. The person serving the gol gappas was really good. He even made our chaap order on time. The gol gappas are good, I won't say they are the best. But I was pleasantly surprised by Paneer Lababdar, it's absolutely AMAZING! the gravy was so flavorful and paneer was super soft. The chaap was also really tasty, my whole family really liked it.

Ok Saturday evening and we were looking to get some good north Indian fare from a place we had not tried in a while. We recollected that, we had not tried Atulya Bharat in many weeks. So we quickly got into our car and reached the food truck. Was looking to greet Chef Atulya, but the truck was managed by a team of Hispanic crew today . While we loved the efficient handling of our order taking ( & especially loved the cute way, the lady who took our order pronounced the names of the dishes ) we were a bit apprehensive whether the food would taste as authentic as when Chef Atulya is around . But we needn't have worried ! So we got our favorites - Rajma Masala and Bhuna Ghosht . The Rajma Masala was just as superb as we have become accustomed to and expect from chef Atulya. The Rajma, which was cooked to perfection, was soft and velvety . The masala too was thick, tasty and with the subtle use of the main spices, this was Chef Atulya at his best! As always! The Bhuna Ghosht was also just as incredible as it always is. Succulent fall-of-the-bone meat and spices that made up the gravy were so subtle and yet aromatic and flavorful. Waah! Lajawab! Is what comes to mind (Translates from Hindi to " Wow !" "Wonderful! " ) And the fact that we had gone to get them, rather than getting them delivered through Door-dash, ensured they stayed piping hot till they were served! We had a feast! Hope this makes your mouth water and you plan to visit this gem of a place soon ! Thanks again Chef Atulya for heeding the request I had made the first time I had visited , to keep up the quality and authenticity of your dishes! You certainly have and I can vouch for it again today !

Who doesn't love food trucks? Atulya Bharat has it all. The most important is the food. It has it is spades. The samosa chaat was perfect. Crisp and crunchy samosa with amazing chole. And the treat was a live pani puri stand. 3 flavors of pani and the puri's are from Pani Puri company so you know they are using the best ingredients. The guy even made me a special sukha puri for the last one. So yeah, the food is awesome. And the rest of the experience was great too. The problem with food trucks is usually you get the food, but then what. AB has plenty of tables and chairs for you to sit on and enjoy your food. They are under a nice pop up canopy tent and some fun sting lights with a disco ball. Music playing in the background, good food, nice drinks. It's a great spot to have a wonderful meal!

I was craving some Indian food late yesterday and a Yelp search and their great ratings brought me here. I called in to order and they send me a text link to order and it worked quickly and smoothly. They were very busy even though it was late at night and that is always a good sign. The food was really good and definitely stands out in the sea of Indian restaurants in the South Bay. The desi slider and the paneer labadaar were delicious. They did however miss some items in the order which I did not realize until I got home.. It's not that I expect perfection but what I value more is how a business responds when there is an issue. In this case, Priya was very responsive, apologetic and made it right. Well done!

Trying 4 the 1st time to taste the hype :-)

SERVICE - parked near the McDonald's on de anza blvd right after the entrance to ca-85 - a few tables and chairs outside for seating - server was not the friendliest when taking our orders and was multitasking while we were asking about the menu - long wait time for food MENU - Indian chaats (snacks/appetizers) and main dishes - does not mark allergens clearly - pricey for chaat ($7.99 per plate) - does not specify which dishes are out of stock FOOD - Palak Pakodi Chaat (5/10): this was not really chaat style, just a bowl of pakoras. They were a bit salty on their own but it is better with the chutney - Samosa Chaat (6/10): a decent option but it is small for the price. The chole is also slightly sweet. The samosa is cooked well but could use some more spices especially in the filling. - aloo tikki chaat (8/10): I liked the aloo tikki better than the samosa but otherwise very similar review to the samosa chaat. - Vegan Keema Pav (7/10): this actually surprised me. I usually do not order soy chunk based dishes but this was cooked well. The texture is like a crumbled tofu in a spicy tomato gravy. - Samosa Paav (2/10): it is exactly what it sounds like: a samosa inside a bread bun (pav). For me, it was too much breading which overwhelmed the bite. - Amritsari Chole Kulche Combo (5/10): on its own, I would give the chole a higher rating as its gravy was quite thick and the spices were melded nicely. The kulcha was a bit of a let down. I found it too rubbery and slightly undercooked. WOULD I COME BACK? Probably not, just wanted to try it once. read more

Indian comfort food done right. We tried their paneer dish, chole, and mango lassi. Tasted authentic, with a good amount of heat. The paneer labdaar was rich and had an ample amount of paneer in it (they aren't shy with portion sizes). Chloe was perfect, chickpeas melted in your mouth and the gravy has a good combo of spices and flavor. Lassi wasn't over-sweet (like many I have encountered. Naan / roti was fresh and they also give you a serving of rice with some dishes so you can pick what you want. Definitely coming back! read more

Delicious curry dishes, full of flavor and the stewed meat is so tender - we wish there was more meat! :) We ordered Aaloo Tikka (potatoes and chick peas), Handhi Chicken, and Bhandu Gosht (stewed goat). The curry dishes come with yellow rice (goes so well with the stewed meat) and comes with the option of 2 roti or 1 paratha. The roti and paratha were stiff and tough so perhaps fresh naan would be better for the curry. The side of yogurt sauce is more thick than I'm used to and the side of pickled veggies might be best stored in a small paper to go container instead of aluminum foil. read more

Ordered online from here. I called her asked for Jain restrictions and she had tons of appetizer options. I ordered Achaari Soya Chaap, Dahi Bhalla Papdi Chaat they were able to make it without onions and garlic. They also have Corn Chaat, Afghani Soya Chaap & Paneer Tikka which can be modified to Jain restrictions. Quantity was a bit small I was expecting a little more. read more

Go drop your stuff right now and try Atulya Bharat!! I was looking for takeout and since most of the restaurants around West San Jose was closed I was not sure where to go. I stumbled past their food truck and the area smelled sooo delicious with their spiced aroma! (I asked the man how long the food would take to make and he said 5-10 minutes. He did not lie, because they were soo fast! Once I got home and I tried the Handi Chicken it was SOOO GOOD. Like I've never had indian food that tasted like that. The curry was full of spice but it had a lot of depth to its taste. So flavorful omg. It's places like this that makes me sooo happy that I live in the Bay Area. Had this a while back. Amazingly passionate owner, who tookt he order. But the taste was lacking. Way to fatty , the chicken curry, definitely not healthy. Amazing customer service doesn't mask the taste/healthiness of the food. It was late in the afternoon and I was craving some chat! Was browsing through Yelp and stumbled upon this place. It's just a mile from my place! So had to give it a try. We were greeted by Priya, such a sweet person she is! We ordered the Gost Platter, Palak Chat, special Dal and Chai. Everything was soooo good! Specially the chat and the daal was amazing. This one is a rare gem and currently our fav spot for Vegan Kheema Pav! We were intrigued by their menu and decided to check it out. We ordered the Vegan Kheema Pav and Palak Pakodi Chaat to go. The portions were perfect and food was very flavorful. There was barely any wait time and the location has a decent parking space. The owners and staff were friendly and made sure we were happy. As an International Student from India, I keep hunting for places to dine in that got the taste and flavors as similar to as food back in India and I have been to numerous food trucks and Indian Restaurants but this place has definitely set the bar as high as it could get. Visited Atulya Bharat Food Truck with my friends and literally paid less than what we usually pay at any other fast food restaurants and got the most delicious Indian meal I have ate in the Bay Area. This was long due for bay area - food truck serving authentic north indian cuisine. Everything from their unique appetizers to classics in main-course is a must try. While offering something refreshingly different, they have been able to stay true to the soulful north indian flavours that hits home in every bite. Palak pakodi chaat, vegan keema pav, handi chicken and kadi pakoras are my personal favorite that I recommend you don't miss out on. Special shoutout to the chef - Atul. He came out to check on us about the food. In that short conversation you could see his passion for cooking and how deeply he cares about his customers. Can't wait to go there again! read more

We found this very randomly while driving by. The food is just spectacular. Reminded me of the time back when i used to visit New Delhi. We had the makai chaat, lababdaar paneer combo, palak papdi chaat and Amritsari chole kulche. Every dish was spot on. We are definitely going back for more. read more

Above and beyond! Absolutely delicious! , We tried Handi Chicken and Paneer Lababdar combo. Closest to India taste in whole Bay Area. Trust me! I have tried almost all Indian restaurants in Bay Area. I lost the hope that You can match the taste to indian restaurants, but it this food truck did it! I think I will be a regular customer onwards and will keep trying all dishes. Amazing service! Service wasn't overtly rude, but it was noticeably unwelcoming--almost a "why are you here?" tone rather than hospitality. We ordered hummus and feta, both of which were surprisingly expensive for the portion and quality. We were told bread would arrive automatically with the hummus, but it didn't--despite asking multiple times. When it finally arrived, it was poorly cooked and no longer served any purpose, as we were already well into the meal. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, our mains took about 30 minutes. One dish--a kebab--was fine but very forgettable for a $30+ price point. My dish, dumplings in a yogurt-based sauce, was honestly inedible. I left it untouched and mentioned that it didn't taste good. The response was simply, "Oh, so you don't want a box?" No attempt to fix the issue or even acknowledge it. What sealed it for me was the overall condition of the place. Dirty cutlery, a generally rundown interior, and a lack of attention to cleanliness made it uncomfortable to eat there. I'm not picky about ambiance when the food and service deliver--but here, nothing quite worked together. The whole experience felt very turn-and-burn, as if the restaurant relies on proximity to a popular area rather than repeat customers. I left feeling like unless you're part of a specific in-crowd, this isn't a place that's trying very hard to win you over. Personally, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it--especially given the pricing and the many better options nearby.

They have a seasonal cream top which makes me want to come back to try every season! Given that it's an outdoor coffee cart, their drinks are high quality and always consistent. I ordered their signature matcha latte with blueberry cream top. They also have vanilla cream top and a seasonal cream top (for June 2026 it is strawberry). I wasn't sure how much blueberry flavor there would be given that the cream top was white (and I had almost wondered if they mistakenly put vanilla on top instead) but was taken aback by the blueberry flavor I got. It was fragrant and very much there. The matcha on the other hand was a different story. Mine tasted watered down and tasted more of milk than matcha itself. With the cream top, the blueberry masks most of the flavor so you don't taste much of the matcha. As I sat there, I watched the staff prepare other matcha drinks and did see that they have their matcha pre-made in a jug so it's not whisked to order here. I'm not sure if it perhaps got too diluted from the milk, but unfortunately I was underwhelmed and disappointed. I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch but I couldn't resonate with everyone else on Yelp who loved their matcha.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Atulya Bharat. We ordered a takeout of just one Paneer Lababdar curry. When we got home and opened the container, we found a sharp plastic piece in the curry. Alarmingly, the plastic piece could easily be mistaken for an onion piece, making it an even greater health hazard. Adding to the frustration, the staff we encountered at the restaurant were quite rude, making the overall experience even worse. This incident raises serious concerns about their kitchen hygiene and quality control. I hope they take immediate action to address these issues. Decided to order based on yelp good reviews. Ordered bhuna gost and roti. service was ok, as expected in food truck. Website says open 12pm to 9pm, went for lunch, but found they only ooen after 5pm, came back as I really wanted to try. Bhuna ghost, horrible, no meat, just few bone pieces and container full of gravy.... Wow, should have taken pictures to show how bad it was, but went to trash very fast. About roti, i asked if it is made fresh, he said yes, but obviously it was not freshly made, just reheated. Just a bad food, no second try for me. read more

I stumbled upon this place and decided to try something new and exciting. The Afghani Soya Chaap and Achari Soya Chaap were absolutely incredible! Despite the slightly longer wait, the flavor and quality were worth every minute. While the pakoras were decent, the Soya Chaap dishes were the clear winners. The rest of the menu looks promising, but I'll definitely be back to savor those delicious Soya Chaap dishes again. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, this place is a must-try! read more

Atulya Bharat is kinda hit or miss. Their spinach pakora is pretty good, but the panner labbadar can be hit or miss - sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. The roti is a bit on the dry side, and the rice is just okay. read more
