This review is strictly for the sales department. I first reached out to Audi Chantilly hoping to find an Audi S6 in a particular color combo with all the interested packages. There were maybe 100 or less of them in the US, so it's like finding a needle in a haystack. The sales rep Eric E. always communicated on a timely manner and provided various options as they came available for sale. Unable to find an S6, I purchased another car from another dealer, and then came across another rarity at Audi Chantilly. Reached back out to Eric (10-11 months since our last conversation) to come see the vehicle. Surprisingly, Eric remembered my search for an S6. Eric made the purchase process really smooth, price was negotiable and fair. No constant back and forth or waiting time in between. Manager came out and we got straight to the bottom line number. The staff is really friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Would definitely be back to Audi for my services and hopefully to purchase another Audi. read more

Unfortunately my Q5 received a screw in the tire, and with the donut you can only drive 50 miles. Upon arrival, they were quick to recognize and help. The gentleman was courteous and gave me a quoted time of replacing the tire. As I waited inside, they were out of normal complimentary food items (hence the minus of a star, since other locations have tons of food available). Only items available were bottled water and cans of pop. They finished working on my car prior to estimated time. I was very impressed with them also decompressing my donut and putting it back into place. This saved me roughly $500 (please note in case you have the same issue and don't wanna buy another donut which is $$$). The close out was seamless, and they had my Q5 freshly washed along with the front floor mats. read more

We were not greeted as we walked around looking at vehicles outside, but we saw other customers near us welcomed and greeted by multiple people. We even almost walked the entire width of the showroom floor before a receptionist finally said hello. I told my fiance that if we made it to the door on the opposite side of the room we were leaving. After complaining about our 15 min self guided tour with no assistance the receptionist responded "well you just arrived." I guess we didn't have the Audi car buying look. We finally worked with Mamta to get our new vehicle. We arrived within an hour of closing, and she worked well beyond closing to make sure we completed everything. I'd give 5 stars for Mamta, and 3 stars for the dealership itself. I absolutely love my car, but every interaction I've had the past three+ years with the service department here makes me wish I never bought an Audi. We bought a Mercedes from the dealership next door a few years ago and the service was always phenomenal... but not here (I think both dealerships are owned by the same company, which makes the fact the experience is so different odd). My last experience is the last straw though; a routine maintenance took all day even though my appointment was for 8:30AM and I was originally scheduled to wait for it. It's not like they found anything out of the ordinary or there were any issues. After checking in a couple of times throughout the day, I finally got a call at 5:30PM to pick my car up... when I finally was assisted (the service techs never greet you when you walk in... not even a simple "Hello, we'll be right with you...") and got out to my car, it was running!... which was very unusual... and made me wonder; how long was it left on?... but, even more frustrating, the check engine light was on! They should never have given the car back with a warning light on. Isn't that basic quality control? When I went back inside and mentioned this, there was no sense of urgency... Luckily, after initially being told no technicians were still on site, and only after having to insist on getting some type of assistance (as opposed to, as suggested, making an appointment for the next day to come back!), a technician who was on their way home for the day agreed to take a look. He found that the issue was a "sensor was improperly installed after the service." Someone else should have noticed a warning light was on before I ever did. Luckily it was nothing major, but it highlights the shoddy workmanship and typical customer service I've experienced. And this is just my latest experience -- EVERY single one I've had with the service department here seriously makes me regret ever buying the car. I've read other reviews of the dealership where people have similar experiences and hate the thought of having to go in for service. Luckily I don't have to go very often, but there are too many other manufacturers and dealerships in the area that provide way better service. I'm looking to replace my car and I won't even consider Audi because of the service experience at this dealership... the next closest Audi dealer would be too inconvenient, plus I'm soured on the brand now... it doesn't stand that much apart from other options to be "loyal"... what truly makes a car stand apart is the overall experience. But that "experience" simply sucks because of this dealership's service department. Read the other reviews. Save yourself the trouble. Buy elsewhere... go elsewhere. read more

I purchased my 2013 Audi A6 in March of 2018, and worked with Nasser as my salesmen. I had been searching for a car with every option I wanted, and I found this one the night they put it online. I immediately called them, and asked them to hold the car for me for two days so I could drive 6 hours to come get it that Saturday. I offered to pay 500$ towards to car to hold it, but they said they didn't need that and would hold it for me. I was extremely Happy about this and drove up to get the car. I asked Nasser if there were any major cosmetic issues, and he said no. I understand a car is going to have normal paint chips from use, but when I arrived, there was paint damage on the trunk. Still though, I was happy with the car. I bought the car as is with no warranty (not a huge issue as I'm a vw/audi enthusiast and have good connections with shops at home). While looking at the car, any time I went to the driver's side, Nasser would go over and open the door for me. At first, I thought he was just being polite. It wasn't until after I signed all the paperwork and the car was mine that I realized he was hiding something from me. The molding trim that goes over the door lock (where your key goes in) was missing! I immediately went inside and asked about this. It turns out they knocked out off during detail, and knew about it from the get go. They said they would order a new one, and have it painted and shipped to me within 2 weeks. It took over 2 months to get it, and I had to stay on top of them. At first they said the part was back ordered, then they said the part came in but the paint shop lost it, and then some other excuses. I stayed patient and eventually got the part. I took it to my local audi dealership to get put on while my car was in for a recall, and they told me it was broken! Two tabs on it are broken, and there is a small paint chip on it. It appears they sent me the original trim piece that was broken off. I sent Nasser a text asking about this with pictures of the damaged piece and he said it must have been damaged in shipping (there were no broken pieces in the package) and said there was nothing more they could do. On top of this, I asked for all maintenance records of the vehicle as it was solely maintained at their dealership, and was even owned by their sales manager prior to me buying it. I asked several times and was told they would be emailed to me. I continued to ask for them over the two months I was waiting for my trim piece. I have never received them. Having worked for VW USA for 4 1/2 years myself, I am extremely disappointed in the dishonest sales practices at Audi Chantilly, and by Nasser. I will be writing a letter to Audi USA to discuss this issue as well. I highly suggest you take your money elsewhere. read more

BLUF: Stunningly inept service department doesn't honor commitments for loaners, accuse me of thinking of stealing a loaner and manufacturing damage to my vehicle in order to make them fix it. Details: I needed a basic service and safety inspection and scheduled the appointment online, immediately afterward I used their "Request Service Pickup" link on their web site. Hearing nothing after 2 days I called Audi Chantilly to ensure that they were, in fact, going to pick up my car. The very pleasant woman who answered asked if I used the link online and allowed that "it never works" but transferred me to Service. The advisor who answered said that he was the one that got the service request emails and didn't get mine, though he could pick it up 2 days later (which didn't work for my schedule) or could get me a loaner on the original day, the option I chose, though it had to be a 7am dropoff in order to get a loaner. Inconvenient, but I needed the service. Upon arrival the advisor walked around my car and filmed it, extensively, with his phone, explaining that they didn't want to pay for damage they didn't do. A theory that I understand in principal but wonder just how much damage had occurred to customers' cars in the past that created this policy. Regardless, they then told me that they had no notice that I was getting a loaner and, upon looking at my service request, said that I wasn't spending enough money with them to get one (for the record it was approx. $400) At that point I asked for my keys back. The service advisor turned to the manager next to him to ask what he should do. The manager hemmed and hawed and then had the audacity to ask me if I was actually going to return the loaner! After assuring him that I wasn't going to steal the loaner, he deigned to grant it to me. It was hard to ignore the eye roll from both he and the advisor when I then asked them to honor the 15% discount code on their web site. 4 hours later (rather than the 2 that were promised), the car was finished, I did not steal the loaner, and I was able to leave with my car and didn't even accuse Audi Chantilly of damaging it. This will be the last time I waste my time and suffer implied criminality from these people. read more

I came in for a recall fix and a maintenance check. Nothing changed much except everyone wears masks due to Covid. When I came back to pick up my car, the oil change warning was still on. So I had to wait for them to double check again. Also, they do not have check-in offers since they ran out of mugs. Well, they definitely need to improve their services. We found the vehicle last week on Audiusa.com and immediately expressed interest in purchasing and trading in our current Q7... we were contacted by John K and worked out the perfect deal between Thursday and Friday evening over phone and email since we are 2 states away... At the last call received on Friday evening we stated to John that we want to purchase the vehicle and to please send us the email link to remit a deposit... since it was a late in the day John texted us and said that he would handle it first thing Saturday morning... I gave him the benefit of the doubt thru the morning and finally reached out in the early afternoon to tell him we were still waiting for his response... he stated in reply that he was busy and that he would get right on it... not wanting to bother him any more I trusted his word... The COB Saturday came and went with no further response... With a hit to my credit report we had already secured financing and scheduled Monday (today off work) to make the trip for the vehicle sale... Only to find out that the vehicle sold Saturday out from under us... I guess someone's word doesn't mean anything in business anymore and it is quite unfortunate. Now I know this doesn't mean to you what it means to us... you just want the vehicle sold but this was definitely not how business should be conducted in my opinion. read more

That had to be the worst experience at a car dealership. I went to test drive a Q7 on Friday, Sept 27th after work. I'm not going to call out anyone but based on the review, I'm sure they can figure out who was the salesman. First off, I spent most of my time sitting around waiting on this guy because he was noticeably trying to juggle multiple customers all at once. That was strike one. I knew from that moment I wasn't going to buy anything from this guy but I had an afternoon to kill so I figured, why not go along with this charade? Strike two came when he sent me out on a test drive by myself. He pulled the car around to the front, proceeding to show me how the car operates. I sat there listening to him, letting him finish his whole demonstration but was uninterested. I came back from the test drive, I sat around and waited for him again just to see what he had to say. After waiting around again, he came back, and I told him that I see that he was too busy and didn't have time. The sad part is that he agreed with me, he agreed to the fact that he didn't have time for me as a customer. I told him that I would return saturday morning to complete the sale, but I never showed up. He never bother to call also. He finally called sunday afternoon but I never answered. The following Tuesday I went to Tyson Audi and bought the same exact 2019 Q7 premium plus, white with nougat brown interior. The same exact one from Audi Chantilly. Except this time I had a superb experience. My husband have also used the audi chantilly service department when he had brake issues with his A6 and they told him it was "normal." I told him to take his car to Tyson Audi, and they fixed the issue by replacing the rotors. Let's just say that I won't be using their service department also. Even if the location is more convenient, forget it!!!!! This place is A TOTAL DISGRACE to the Audi brand. They're more about quantity rather than quality. Audi Chantilly service department displays consistent incompetence upon every visit. Most recently, a simple oil change turned into a multi-day event (that crossed a holiday weekend) because they admittedly "had no plans to work on the car" for the whole first day it was in their possession. Prior visits saw hostage negotiating whereby they refused to turn off a "check engine" light unless I purchased an Audi Care renewal - to which I refused and took it somewhere else. They are hostile every time we deal with them, show little initiative and display horrible customer experience. This comes from the top - as all these Penske dealerships are the same. Escalating to head of service and the dealership GM does nothing. I dread dealing with them, and they prove me right upon every visit. Stay away ... far away. read more

Oh BTW I forgot to mention that when I was getting 30k service, the service rep recommends all these other services for 5-600 dollars worth. I said, so I see that you guys were supposed to replace brake fluid during my 20k/2 year service. Did you do it? And he confidently says no but we can do it today. Really? I've been a loyal customers for several years and always had outstanding service from one particular service rep. Six months ago I was faced with horrible service and lack of respect as a long time customer. I wrote a scathing review about my ordeal. I reached out to Lucky to see if he could help me. Always a horrible experience especially in the service department. I paid for a maintenance plan that I can't even use for final maintenance. The Service person didn't provide me with any information or support other than this is the number you can call. When to asked to speak to someone about the fact that I am not renewing my lease. Initial impression with the sale department is very positive. Talked to John. He was very helpful in answering all the questions that we had. He took notes on what he needed to find out if there's something that he didn't know about so he can get back to us. When we came in for the test drive, John did what he can to get us the car we asked for. Given how low inventory is right now, we were very lucky to some how got the car that we actually wanted to test drive. Within an hour of me posting my comments on Yelp, I was contacted by a representative of the Penske Automotive Group and my issues were forwarded to a manager outside of the dealership. He apologized for the issues I had experienced, understood that my time was wasted and valuable at the same time. He generously offered compensation, and after some miscommunications back and forth with the local Audi Service manager, a generous agreement was reached. CONCLUSION: Penske reaching out to an aggravated customer was absolutely the right thing to do, and re-mediated the situation calmly and professionally. Hands down, this has been the most unprofessional car purchase that I've ever been through. 3 1/2 weeks after the purchase of my new car, I am still waiting for money that Audi Chantilly owes me from the car that I traded in...which they took nearly 3 weeks to pay off despite having the proceeds for my new car purchase. I have called the dealership countless times and left messages for my sales person (Reggie), finance manager (Wisam) and tried to reach a sales manager who I can only assume doesn't even exist. While I was pretty excited about my new Audi...it's the 6th one I've purchased...I'm so disgusted by this experience that I likely will not buy another. read more

My fiancé and I came in to look at a 2021 Q5. We made an appointment with Mark and he was super helpful and really nice. He had the car waiting for us and answered all of our questions. He was never pushy because Audis sell themselves and you either want one or your don't. Higher end cars in the same categories aren't massively different so it's really just personal preference. We came back after test driving a few other vehicles to try to come to a number we could both agree on & luckily we were able to drive one home that night. The process wasn't tedious or shady. I bought my Q5 in 2013. While the purchase was mediocre, the sales manager did exceed my expectations to fix an issue and made it right. What I love most about Audi Chantilly is the EXCEPTIONAL PENSKE AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE DEPARTMENT which starts with the service manager, Matt Frick! I have been coming for regular maintenance and now my Q5 has 75K miles on it. Brian Kennedy, Jose Avila and the rest of the service team are the best of the best. On several occasions, Brian Kennedy has gone above and beyond to help me out. One time I got a flat in a loaner on my way to a wedding. A friend picked us up and the service team changed the tire and left a new loaner for me at my house. ALWAYS FIRST CLASS SERVICE with reasonable employees! This afternoon we decided to start our car shopping for my sister. Her first option has been Audi for months now and I can't believe I have to say that's ver unfortunate. We called and made an appointment for 5:30 with Mort. When we walked in my dad, sister and I, we were not greeted instead stared down. When a gentleman in his office noticed us he asked the salesman to greet us and even then a very unpleasant welcome. When I told the gentleman who was a middle aged middle eastern man with a bit of an accent, he said Mort is busy with two other customers, how can I help you? All while we're all three still standing in the same spot. When I told him we were in to look at some leasing options, if any, and mostly interested in a Q3 that we saw online. He said well with prices at an ultimate high and a shortage, I barely have any vehicles to show you so leasing is not the best option (all still while standing). I then said I understand because this is a local trend but Mort had shared over the phone that leasing is definitely an option for this Q3 that we liked online. I said it's fine we can consider financing it. He then said well I only have one and can bring it around to show you. Not once did he offer to have us sit down or settle down, no refreshments which is an expectation during any luxury experience. He brings the car around but at this point we're questioning if he actually wants this sale or not and if not then he definitely ruined the experience and potential commission Mort would have made from us. We walked out and said thanks for bringing the vehicle around but we're no longer interested. This middle aged middle eastern man then looks at us confused and we said I'm sorry we came in here with the intention of leasing of vehicle and this is not what we planned. Then he shares, oh you can lease whatever you want it's your choice but with lease and $0 down it'll be like $700-$900 a month. Okay? I never said anything about no down payment through this entire process. We were fully capable of paying whatever down payment would be required and I never gave him my budget or one at all for him to jump to the conclusion that I couldn't afford the monthly payments. He basically turned us off from the experience and has us go down to BMW Sterling where we always get great customer service. Don't judge a book by its cover and this would be a loss for his coworker for providing the most degrading service. I can't say that we won't consider Audi anymore but definitely not with this salesman who I'm not sure how continues to maintain his employment. read more

I got my car from them. they over sold me the car. I am fine with that because business people need to make profits for the livings but get what? that Jason sale guy sold me a car failed inspection and made paid for two time inspections. first time inspection failed i took the car in for them to fixed it so it can pass inspection and they did fix it(i droved 50 miles each way to the dealer) i am fine with that things happened but passed inspection but messed my control unit and tried to blame it on me and tried to make me pay for it but luckily i emailed the head manager he fixed by replaced the new unit with free of cost but took me couple trips there and that is the reason why i gave them 2 star if not i would give them zero. read more

The service department lacks credibility, integrity, and truthfulness. I am sincerely disappointed and outright disgusted with the treatment I received as a customer. The service advisor inaccurately documented the vehicle concerns on my repair order, and inaccurately conveyed information to me that he received from Audi of America's corporate office. Further, the technician(s) who "serviced" my vehicle provided diagnostic results and recommended repair services that raise serious concerns with the safety, quality, integrity, and reliability of the Audi Brand; commitment to customer safety and satisfaction over their own self interests; and accountability for the quality, design, engineering, and workmanship of their products. These are not hallmarks of a luxury brand. Regulatory entities, such as the NHTSA, reputable online forums, and consumer advocacy organizations provide instructive information and documentation concerning the Audi and Volkswagen Brands. I've recently learned that my experience is not an isolated incident. Research these sources before stepping foot into an Audi showroom or service department. My wife and I just had an outstanding experience during our purchase of an Audi at Audi Chantilly. The sales person Mamta was professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive to our needs. She guided us, but did not hover or try to over sell. When it came time to finance Diana was tops. Again professional and thorough. We finalized our transcation late in the day and never felt like we were rushed. Thanks for staying late. Twice we met the manager who was courteous and friendly. I purchased a used Tesla with 23,004 miles on 10/14/2019 from Audi Chantilly. I and my co-applicant spend whole the evening waiting to run our credit score. We got approved and bought the car for 69,899. Five days later, the car was delivered to me. First, they gave me only one key, whereas they had told me that the car has two keys. Next, the battery was about to die. Finally, when I was trying to reset the car and put my information into the system, I noticed that the vehicle has 34,198 miles on it!!!! I checked all the papers that I signed during the deal. I was right; they changed the sitting, reduced the millage to 23,004, and sold it to me! The next day I reach them out. Explained the situation and asked them nicely what to do! First, they only offered me 500$ reduction and would not return the car, which I absolutely was not going to accept this. Because Tesla is a luxury car and 11,000 more mileage is making a lot of differences in price. I threatened to bring the case to the court, so they changed their stance gave me two options: Return the car or 2,000$ reduction. After all the time that I wasted and the worst experience that I have ever had, I had to return the vehicle yesterday, 10/19/2019. Today 10/20/2019, when I am writing this review, they list the same Tesla with 22,999 miles. Again!! I don't know why they are doing this; maybe they want to bring costumer traffic to their store. Terrible experience. I recently attempted to purchase a pre-owned Audi. Drove 6 hrs to purchase after being told vehicle was in great condition with only a few minor blemishes shown on video. When i got there to purchase vehicle had major scratches all over, was dirty in the interior and not properly cleaned to sell. Sales person should have never said the SUV was ready to purchase. The Service Department is Pathetic... Less than professional, yet professionally trained as con artist. Will look you in the eye and lie to you with a smile. Charge you fees that were never mentioned and tell you it's you responsibility to know. Completely untrustworthy people handling the problem but somewhat more trustworthy than the faceless mechanics doing the job. .... Suddenly hit with problems that were not a problem at all, (even after going thru an inspection), until a mechanic had the car. I will be giving them free advertising and publicity from now on. I brought in my Q5 to the service center on 01/24, Elliott Ray (Assistant Service Manager) assisted me. The initial experience wasn't anything great or terrible. Nobody was there to assist me right away and none of the representatives were very friendly, however I was called a Lyft back home since the service wouldn't be done the same day so that was a nice service. The reason I brought my car in was for an issue with my driver's side door window panel not working when trying to open/close the windows. I pretty much had it narrowed down to it being the driver's side master window switch as all the windows would work when using the "lock/unlock" button on the cars key fob. With that being said, I did research ahead of time how much this part would cost (around $130-$140) and I brought it in to a local shop that told me that I would just need to order the part at an Audi dealership and they would replace it for me. I second guessed myself and decided to just have the Audi service center take a look at it and confirm that my thought was correct. This was definitely a mistake as I was correct, but ended up having a horrible experience and had to pay a diagnostic fee of $179 for something I already knew was the issue. I knew I would have to pay the diagnostic fee, so this is not what I'm upset about. I'm upset because Elliott called me later that day letting me know that the driver's side master switch would need to be replaced and this would cost me $742. I was a little confused, so I asked if two parts would need to be replaced and he confirmed that no it's just the one part. I asked how much the part was and he said $450ish and I asked him to repeat himself because I was confused on why it would be this much since like I said before I had already researched this part online, so then the difference would be labor which I would be fine with if the part really cost that much. In the moment I let him know that I'm okay with paying that because I really needed to have this fixed, but I realized I should probably look more into this. I called the Arlington Audi service center and gave them my VIN number and the part I needed replaced to which they let me know that the part costs $140 so at this point I'm just really disappointed that a vehicle company of this caliber would flat out lie to me about what a part would cost and I realized it's probably because I am a woman and was alone when I dropped the car off so they are taking advantage of me. I called Elliott back and let him know that I need to speak with my husband regarding the service and to hold off on it. When I went home, I had him call in because I figured they would take a man more seriously and of course they did. We again asked Elliott how much the part costs to which he answered $138 after a long pause, I was in shock at the difference that he let me know vs my husband. I don't know if this is the dealerships policy to quote higher to women, but this is utterly disgusting and I would never go back to this dealership again. I didn't request to speak to a manager right away, because I just wanted to pay the diagnostic fee and be done with this horrible place. I did however end up going to the parts counter when I picked up my car and went ahead and bought the part, since I really needed it. I was charged $106 for the part and took it to my local shop which charged me $120 to replace the part and everything is working great again. Came in to test drive an Audi A4. Had never been in an Audi dealership or tested an Audi in the past. So I came in with no expectation for the vehicle or dealership. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and she called for a salesperson to come for a new customer. Eric introduced himself and I told him what I wanted to test drive and off we went to find a car. Eric had a great route for testing the A4. Lots of curves, lots being able to fully test the technical features of the car. I liked the car overall, though I wasn't crazy about my salesperson pushing Audi like it is the only luxury model vehicle available. Its one of many. I did like this car, but wasn't sure if it would turn out to be the one I purchase or not. I was happy with what I saw. I was happy to receive some information on the car we drove and a brochure before leaving. Eric was a non-pressure salesperson, aside from what I already indicated.
