UNACCEPTABLE! I brought my A5 in for service back in mid January of this year due to an engine light. Luckily, the issue was identified and was repaired at 65k. During the service, my vehicle was given a multi-point inspection and I was told that everything was found in good repair. Fast forward to mid August when I brought my car in to my outside mechanic at 70,600 mi for an standard oil charge and alignment....only to be horrified that my entire suspension was shot and my tires were unsafe to drive. So I brought my A5 in to Fletcher Jones to verify the repair and sure enough it was confirmed and with a $6,000 repair bill. What unfolded was even more unfortunate as my extended warranty had just expired at 70k and all repairs needed would have been covered under warranty. Fletcher Jones could do nothing and suggested that I contact Rusnak as they were the last to service my car and report that it was in good repair. Although I am no mechanic, I can be fairly certain that that those type of issues could not have developed over the course of 5,000 mi. So I can deduct that at the time my car was seen, it was not inspected as they reported. This is irresponsible and my family's safety was put at risk. Over the last two weeks I have contacted Rusnak four separate times to speak to a service manager to address my concerns. I have left detailed messages and actually spoke to some very nice service advisors. But they unfortunately do not have the authority to address this situation. And in those two weeks, not one Rusnak Manager has called back. Not one. I find this lack of regard extremely unacceptable, unethical, and not in good practice. And ultimately does not align with the customer service experience that Audi both promises and promotes. read more

First and foremost, I hate the car buying experience but my wife and I were due for a new vehicle. We purchased an Audi Q5 last night and we were pleasantly surprised at how easy and actually enjoyable the experience was. Our take away was this: 1. Larry Gootkin was awesome to work with and was knowledgeable about the vehicle inside and out. This is my second Audi and i learned a few things from Larry that I didn't know before. 2. Rusnak has a pretty impressive sales floor. Cars as far as the eye can see. Seriously. 3. Great team that stayed late and worked with us even after business hours. 4. My wife and I didn't have time to stay but Larry offered to have us come back and walk us through the vehicle to further explain the features. We just ran out of time. Cliff Notes Version - Ernie/Aaron were super helpful and got us the car we wanted in the middle of the night with a bunch of rebates! It was 745pm on Wednesday night, when we passed by Rusnak, figured we could to do some research and test drive cars for fun. Right when we walked in we were greeted by Ernie the sales guy, he was super friendly and informative. Showed us around the sales floor looking at various models...super helpful in pointing out pros and cons of each as well as color options. After the test drives and talking to Ernie we knew exactly what we wanted...so now the fun part... Looking for inventory and the negotiation. Unfortunately, they didn't have the color I wanted in stock, but gave me a pretty competitive offer for my second choice....I forgotten what the car looked like and they didn't have it as a floor model, so while I contemplated Ernie ran to the parking lot and drove it into the dealership (The time was now 9pm and they were officially closed....and it was raining outside, poor guy came back drenched from rain) ... And after all that I just couldn't settle for my second choice, so I said thanks but no thanks. Just as we were getting up to leave Aaron came over to see how things were going (I figured bc it was now 930pm and he wanted to help convince me to take the car they have in stock). To my surprise, he said "you know the car you want, so let's see if we can get it for you". He ran back to his desk and came back with 6 vehicles in the color I wanted and 1 matching my criteria..... Once again back to the fun part negotiations..... Long story short... They actually honored the initial offer(for the car I didn't want) with additional $700 incentive rebate...so it ended up being even lower and overall a pretty good deal. Ernie then ran outside again (in the rain) to bring in a similar color and style (just 4 cylinder instead of v6) so I could make sure it was the car I wanted. It was now 11pm and we were just getting the paperwork started. @_@ (talk about customer service). Ernie could have left since Aaron was taking care of the paperwork, but he stayed to make sure everything went smoothly. It was now midnight and we finally finished the paperwork they even threw in a few premiums :D I had a business trip the next day so the hubby was going to pick up the car. But Ernie said he could deliver it with a GIANT BOW on top. To my surprise there really was GIANT bow on my brand new Audi when I came home (just like the commercials, haha). Overall it was a pretty good experience, they weren't the stereotypical shady car salesman trying meet a quota, but actually open to working with you to get the car you want. It is about time that I wrote about Rusnak Audi Pasadena. The SERVICE DEPARTMENT is excellent. Although I purchased my car at the OC Audi in 2005, I have been going to Audi Pasadena since 2006. My relationship with Audi Rusnak is primarily with the service department. JOHNNY BORJA has been my service agent since day one and he is absolutely amazing. He is approachable, friendly and extremely helpful. He will recommend what is absolutely necessary and always provides excellent advice. This was such the polar opposite with my experience with BMW in the past. I always complete the surveys that are emailed to us after work has been done and my reviews are always stellar primarily because of Johnny Borja. Note that there were two times that I had to use other agents, but they were also professional. However, Johnny pours his heart and soul into this work. The cashiers are awesome-love joking around with them! I never had to deal with the sales portion of Rusnak, but my next car will definitely be another Audi. I just bought an A4 quattro 2013 on 8/2012 , very happy with the service level. On Sunday afternoon, I arrived and presented them a deal ( reserached from edmunds, rebate, invoice price), and they countered with an attractive offer in my favorite. Monday, I went back to pick up the car reserved, and I changed my mind at the last minute asking for a Quattro. A done deal, lots of activities went by fast, and the transaction went smoothly. Thank you for Mark Gabriel and his Manager for the quick responsiveness, and professional service level. Remember, you have to do your home work first, so they can be attentive to your particular needs. Be precisive, and they will work with you in every aspect. Even the financial manager is very professional getting you out the door as quick as possible. My last car was a Honda hybrid vechicle, and I spent a great deal of time in the financial office ( you know the episode, the financial officer doesn't know much, besides calculating the loan, and you are there making a big commitment. BTW, to save time, have them wash the car prior you signing the papers. This happen to me in very purchase at every dealer, i waited a while for the car to be washed, after signing the paper work. Otherwise, I could have been able to meet my gf for dinner. The bottom line, just like everything else, you got to know who's who to reach first, or eles it goes to never never land. Secondly, do the homework knowing what to get, bring your documentation from your research, and ask detail questions, so they are on the same page with you. Appointment can be made by phone with no problems which was followed by e mail confirmation. Service rep was courteous and professional. There is a shuttle service with a number of vans and cars. Breakfast treats such as small muffins and freshly brewed coffee were provided. The waiting area was well lit and chairs were provided. Car came back appeared cleaned. The following items are why Audi and this Dealer would't get a 5 star rating, keep in mind that I was pressured to prepaid ($860 for Audi and $1200 contract for "mechanical breakdown" repair ) the 15000 mile to 45000 mile services : 1. No courtesy car while BMW and Mercedes dealers do provide them "free of charge". Audis are not any cheaper than the aforementioned German cars. 2. The check engine light came on after about 10,000 miles, and I have to wait six months or 10,000 miles for the parts to arrive. The excuses were that Audi was redesigning the parts. But I bought an Audi A4 20 years ago which had exactly the same problem. 3. A 25000 mile service of my Q5 took about 5 hours (originally estimate was 7-hour) which I think was too long. The dealer needs to hire more mechanics. 4. The muffins were of lowest quality and mechanics, office staff help themselves freely. This will never happen in a Lexus facilities where higher quality food and drinks were provided. 5. Service rep did not border to explain what was done when I pick up the car until I asked. This is simply laziness and lack of management supervision. 6. No free WiFi. Waiting area was not designed for comfortable waiting by high paying customers. To be fair, current Rusnak and Audi management are a vast improvement from the Rusnak I experienced back to 10 to 20 years ago when sales pre were nasty and the Audi /Porsche service garage was located at the back of the property with a waiting room full of collapsing furniture. Still, Audi and all German auto dealers have much to learn and improve. read more

Long story short: their telephone customer service made me a solo test drive appointment which was nowhere to be found when I arrived, the salespeople in person wouldn't even consider letting me test drive alone for social distancing purposes ( though every other dealership I have asked has allowed it ), and everyone in the dealership seemed cold and unhelpful at best. This is simple, best car sales experience I have ever had. Larry Gootkin met with us on Saturday after we sent a email on Friday night looking for information, We test drove the car we had in mind after much research. Before we even got in the car Larry told us they would match any price we had in writing and it turned out to be a very accruate statement. After visiting other dealers in the LA area we finally were able to properly test drive the A4. We went on a very meaningful drive putting the car through all it's paces and when my husband asked If I wanted to drive the car a bit, Larry said lets do the same route again. Not only was he knowledgeable about all aspects of the car he was a true gentleman and what we thought was going to be a test drive and dreadful negioiation was totally opposite. We did end up making a win-win deal, but even if we had left without a car it would have been a nice experience working with someone who sincerely cared about the customer knowing he did his best to try and get the right fit. Don't trust their scheduled maintenance service. I agreed no more Susan S. Anybody can be service advisor and well paid and bonuses because they are charging all kinds of basic services at least 200% to 300% from ignorant customers. If you don't listen their greedy advice, they don't respect and mistreat you some ways later on. When they claim the job is done, don't take it for granted. They will overlook very critical problems intentionally and when you go back to their shop, customers beware, they will be quoting all sorts of repairs and charging a lot of more than you can get it fixed somewhere, especially Brake jobs, replace tires, etc- everything costs more, but not necessary professional jobs at all. However, for those warranty customers praising advisors for their good jobs, don't get too excited. You fall into their traps later on when you need repair done. They get you trusting them and ruins you later on for sure. There is no obligations for warranty customers since it costs you nothing Good luck when you visit them after warranty period. Regrdless, Watch out their recommendations before it is due for services. That's is one trick that they can meet quota and receive bonuses and request Rating of Ten. I have to admit, I was pretty nervous when I was first looking around at dealerships for my first luxury car. Fortunately I was referred to the general manager at Rusnak (Niko) through some friends and I couldn't be happier with the result. I was looking for an executive car to lease for my small business. I had done a lot of research and really narrowed it down the A5 and A7. Niko set me up with Koni, one of their Audi brand specialists, who walked me through some of the differences between the models I was looking at and had them both set up and ready for me to test drive in exactly the color and trim I was interested in (black premium plus). I really appreciated that there was no rush and no hard upsell during the test drives, just an honest discussion of the pros and cons of different features. He let me take the time to really get the feel of each vehicle, which was the biggest deciding factor for me. After driving both, I knew the A7 was perfect but being my first business lease I didn't know what to expect. Koni was able to lay out the whole process for me and walked me through the details any time I had a question. I visited this dealership several years ago when I was interested in an Audi and I was met with a very rude sales consultant, so I had intentions of never visiting Pasadena Audi again... Fast forward a few years: there is a little under a year left remaining on my current lease and I've been intrigued by the Audi A3 e-tron and Q5, so I thought that I would give this dealership another try. Perhaps that rude consultant I came across was just having a bad day and maybe this place may not actually be bad... but I was wrong. My girlfriend and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and a gentleman was immediately available to help me. I told him I was first interested in the A3, so he proceeded to show me the one in the showroom. At this point, I was starting to think my first experience was simply a fluke. After conversing for a few minutes, I was asked when my current lease was ending. I told him, "about a year," and his attitude immediately changed. He insisted that I was looking at cars too early and that there was no point, which I acknowledged--since a new year model will likely be out then--but disagreed because I knew the cars were not going to change drastically and I was prepared to narrow down my choices for a next car. He then received a phone call and just abandoned us in the middle of the showroom. Several different sales consultants walked by and did not acknowledge our presence. If the call was important, then I understand, but the least he could have done was refer us to another consultant who may have been available to further help us. As a result, we did not get a chance to check out a Q5. Instead, we walked a few doors down to Alfa Romeo, whose consultants were more than eager to help us. This is definitely not a reflection of Rusnak, as we were at Pasadena Volvo before visiting Audi. Everyone was extremely friendly. Furthermore, we visited Mercedes of Arcadia later that afternoon. Our sales consultant was not deterred by my lease timeline and was very patient with showing us the cars I was interested in. My experiences at various dealerships, especially on that day, made it extremely apparent that my experience at Audi was not how business should be conducted. Perhaps my experience was another fluke and a third time might be a charm; however, I am extremely unlikely to want to step in to Pasadena Audi again if this is how their consultants interact with prospective customers. read more

Jesus. Where do I begin. I brought my car in because it failed a smog test, and some shmarmy car salesman said that there was aboslutely no way that I could get my car fixed without performing a MAJOR service. I had just had my car serviced so I really didn't want to do it, but there I was, being persuaded. After the service, I was told that my car still wasn't working and that they would need to look at the engine. Which I came in requesting that they do, because I knew exactly what the error code was from my smog test. Then they proceeded to dismantle the engine and then aha! they told me what was wrong with the engine. The same error code I came in talking about! cool, now I'm 2 grand or more into the visit and they are only just getting to fixing the car now. I've been carless for 2 and a half weeks. read more

What you did is unethical, and I paid you cash for it. A client has to be treated with respect so it will be a loyal customer. Like anywhere, you really need to find the right person for you... from service to sales. After getting a great deal on a lease downtown, I had issues with DTLA service with a shop in and out for a good month looking for a jiggle in the sunroof they never cared to test because until the end it was still there the second I drove off. Rusnak is closer to where I live so I decided to stop by there and found Jim in service and, while a little difficult to get in, proved really great. Cut to the TDI woes. With a TDI Q5 approaching limits on miles with almost no value left, I started to look at how I could transition a little early into something new. Downtown was unhelpful and ironically, many other brands were more accommodating in covering remaining payments. As I started looking around, I had the pleasure to met CC in sales. We tried to get into an allroad lease, but just couldn't work out a deal I was happy with. She ended up going above and beyond to help get me a great deal on a SQ5 which makes me more than happy. This is a dealer I will be going back too. I went in and was helped right away. Danny was my helper and he was just great. He was able to show me everything there was for me to know about the Audi's I was looking at. I was able to take the cars on a drive around and he showed me everything it came with and I must say it was nice being helped to know what the buttons are. Which with my last car I had no idea where the A/C button was. It was very hard not having a lesson on the car and having to learn by mistakes. That was one great thing about Danny. He was also very nice on getting me the best deals. I really liked that he took the time to work with me. Amazing Experience with Michael Parrish. Working with the internet department was fantastic. We are super busy throughout the day and text/email is the preferred method. Michael was on top of the entire transaction throughout the day. He emailed all of the specs for the desired vehicle instantly. Texted the pictures of the car to show us and then once given the green light, had the car go for detail and be ready upon our arrival.
