Let me be first to say that I hardly ever leave a review for restaurants let alone a car dealership, but I have to say that the Auffenberg Nissan made a big impression on me. This was my first time buying a vehicle on my own and during the process I met Dustin and Cory who were very helpful and upfront with me. Stopped here just looking and had a great experience. Auffenberg Nissan has a ton of cars to look at and the salesman Mark Chapman was awesome. He showed me 3 different cars and spent the extra time in making sure I was getting what I needed. When we found the right one we went inside and the price was already marked down well below what I was expecting to pay which was nice to not have to spend 3 hours going back and forth and getting in and out of finance was also faster than expected. Mark spent all the time necessary making sure that I knew how to work my new Nissan and thought it was nice that he offered for me to come back anytime if there was something that I didn't understand on the car and he would help me out. Carlin Box was a great salesman (he is the only reason this gets 2 stars as opposed to 1 or none). He was very knowledgeable and took the time to help me understand my options and educate me on them. That's about where the service ened. Not on Carlins fault. The sales manager over promised a deal that he could not meet and I had to come back several times. There was a lot of old school bargaining over price and payment like there was way back when. The finance guy, Shaun, was an idiot. He was trying to sell me "additional products" that are covered under a regular insurance plan. I work for an insurance company and he was trying to tell me what my insurance did and did not cover. He also told me he would cash a $500 down payment 2 days later when I got paid. He cashed it the next day, even though it was post dated, and I got a overdraft fee from my bank. Then on top of it, they managed to make a promise on my trade in that they couldn't deliver on either. Unless you want to deal with a lot of headaches. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUFFENBERG NISSAN! Dishonest and deceptive, even by by car dealership standards. We were looking to purchase a very specific Altima model (black 2.5 SV with moon roof and spoiler) and called Auffenberg to ask if they had one in stock before we came out, as we were roughly an hour away. They assured us they did, so we drove down. When we got there, we were told "that woman over there just bought it, but what about a white 2.5 SL?" My wife (who was already not doing great as her grandfather was very ill) actually asked the woman they pointed out, and the woman replied that she had not actually bought an Altima at all. Clearly this was just a bait-and-switch. Against my better judgement, my wife searched their lot for a reasonable alternative and found car she liked. This is when things went bad to worse. For the next two hours we were given a full-court press on buying the $1,500 Security+ Package. The finance manager promised us a great deal, that if we didn't use the warranty package, we would be refunded the full price of it at end of term (75,000 miles) I write this review at the 75,000 mile point, and here is the reason for the 1-star. When we called to have them honor this agreement, the new finance manager said "sure, just show me on paper where we said specifically that." He said that they may TELL me about a refund, but if I can't prove it with a signed document they will not honor it. Additionally, they didn't start saving customer documents on their end until the week after we purchased. Bottom line, we were stupid. We were worn out from 120 minutes of getting hounded to buy an unnecessary warranty and believed a man who shook our hand and assured us his word was good. So shame on us. But shame on Auffenberg for twice misleading us and taking advantage of a grieving woman. I hope it was worth the one-time $1,500 scam, because we will never work with them again. read more

They don't stand behind there used cars by far the worst sales encounter ever in my life. I totaled my Nissan Sentra that I brought from them in 2012 so I thought they were a honest company but I was wrong.I work in sales my self so I get it but the integrity of these company is very questionable and I would never recommend anyone else to them. My story is I brought a 2015 Chrysler 200 from them in November 2016 and before Christmas my check engine light came So I called my sales rep and was told take it to the service center so I did. Once I got to service desk the guy told me they didn't service Chrysler with check engine lights on before even looking at my car so I then went back to my sales rep who sent me to guy that sold me the extend warranty I sure his name was Dan that told me I had wait until 30days to use extend warrant now I'm pissed cause I'm 8months pregnant.I told him I just wanted return car but was told I couldn't I only had 3days change my mind and take back to service center and for them check me in I went back and they sent me to Chrysler were I had pay 100 deductible which I was told at point of sale was disappearing deductible which is false only if auffenberg service your car will it count. This Saturday my car broke down in 103 degree weather with my now 3month old.and I will be writing the BBB cause I was sold lemon car and wasnt allowed to return 2weeks later and treated like a number please save your self headache and stress. read more

Purchased a 2016 Maxima here yesterday. Corey sold me the car - I don't buy new ones with any regularity - he was a great help and had me out the door in just a few hours. This included test drive, credit check / financing / trade in pricing and getting my new plates installed and contents of old car transferred. Good job. Not sure why this review got listed under the not recommended. Updating it and adding another star. It's been 16 years since my last new car - I drive them to the end. Please save yourself the time and believe the bad reviews. After finding a car we were interested in we looked at the reviews and saw a bunch of "they didn't have it by the time we got there" negative reviews we decided to give them a chance anyway. But...we called them first to confirm that the car we saw online was actually there. They said it was and we were on the lot 20 minutes later. Guess what? The car we had called about 20 minutes earlier had "just sold". But they had a "comparable" vehicle on the lot...for just 3k more. Definitely a sleazy bait and switch tactic. I'm astonished by the sales team's exhibiting behavior. As a person who has reviewed the ongoing dealer feedback on Google, I decided to walk into the sales lobby at Auffenberg Nissan, shop for a based model Nissan Maxima on Thursday morning. After giving my personal documents and negotiating the price Ronnie (The salesman at the time) had offer me the monthly payment option in which it was even more than the manufacturer recommending the price. I've passed on the offer and left the dealership. A few hours later Rob (The Sales Manager) sent me a text message saying "I'm going to accept your offer, but to get the deal you have to come in on Saturday, not tomorrow." Unbelievably, Saturday morning when I walked to the sales floor lobby, Ronnie said "Rob is at ICU" and offered me the price in which it was totally 5000 dollars more than the price in which I've dealt with Rob. Yes. You have guessed it right. It was completely a planned scenario and of course false and bogus. Rob never intended to honor that price. Even though he was working on Friday but he has asked me to come on Saturday in which it is his off day. Rob has maddened such scenario up with his other colleagues, so when I arrive on the scene on Saturday, he could have his sales associates pretend they are in an unsolicited situation, and like the results, they could sell or lease me the car as expensively as possible. It is hilarious that Ronnie has sent me a link to leave them a positive review Friday in which it was a day before Rob has asked me to be there. The question remains to the sales team at Auffenberg Nissan is as follows: Would you think you are so smart that you could often overcome your customer's intelligence? I would say No. The reality is you are so naively minded, ignorant and confidence were thinking outside such ascension requires some basic ability in which is most definitely outside the boundary of your comprehension. Most excruciating vehicle purchase yesterday! We were pre-approved through USAA and used True Car service. We've purchased a new Ford Explorer and a new Mazda CX-9 with Auffenberg using USAA and True Car without any problems. Even though I specifically told the salesperson, that I was not interested in Nissan financing to compare interest rates with USAA. The next thing I knew, he wanted my credit information "to put in their system to send to USAA"(?????). He was attempting to run my credit through Nissan financing after I had just told him I was not interested. As we were pre-approved through USAA, there's a simple form the dealer fills out with the final price and sends to USAA so the dealer gets paid. The salesperson told us that we were doing things the hard way(?). Everything was pre approved; this should have been an easy sale. The salesperson made the whole experience harder by not listening to us and being reluctant to cooperate. He acted like the transaction was a major inconvenience to him. We were also pressured to get Auto Butler detailing service as another review stated. We were purchasing the car for our son who lives in another state. No way he was going to drive a couple hours to get his car washed. We threatened to leave because the salesperson said there was nothing he could do about removing the $1,995 Auto Butler service because they've already performed the first service of six. Gee, I'm glad they take the time to wash cars on their lot, but this works out to $332.50 each time. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how much detail work was performed on a new car with 7 miles on it. Miraculously, Auto Butler was removed from the price after the sales manager was consulted. I'm sure both he and the salesperson realized they were about to lose a sale. Funny thing, they have a preprinted form to decline this service when you finalize the paperwork with the finance manager. Also, you do not have to sign anything allowing them to sell your data to third party affiliates, nor do you have to share what TV shows or social media you use. I get that it's for them to gauge their advertisizing, but you can refuse. At first, the salesperson refused to honor the True Car price. The True Car certificate is deducted from the MSRP, not from all the dealer ad-ons, like a $200 document processing fee, tax, etc. Salesperson ended up not putting up too much of an argument when we pointed out the price was wrong. He had already lost a couple of BS battles at this point. Using True Car is supposed to take away the BS and hassle of buying a vehicle. We've also used True Car at Honda of Frontenac - that was probably the best car buying experience we've had in the last 5 years. We did end up buying the car because it fits my son's needs as a recent college grad. He had totaled his car and needed to return the rental within a couple of days. We had such a bad experience, we will never buy from any Auffenberg dealership, nor use their repair service. We were treated disrespectfully....I could go on and on, but typing this is making me relive a bad experience...... read more

Taken Altima with only 60k miles on it in several times for A/C and radiator fan issues. After over $1000 A/C only works intermittently and radiator fan runs full bore when starting the car even though engine is stone cold. Every time we take it back they need another part and charge us hundreds of more dollars for the fix. I'll be seeking my next car and any further repairs through someone else. read more

Carlin Box was outstanding in the sale of 2 vehicles to us. My only issue is the fact that when Carlin had a family emergency... the Sales Manager should have picked up the slack. Instead we were not given the Versa on the date promised and no book was in the Sentra. Again.. I am happy with Carlin, our salesman and I love the vehicles. Overall I am satisfied, but I know they can do better, this is my second Nissan Sentra and I love it!!!!!! read more

I have had an EXCELLENT experience with Auffenberg Nissan's service department. I bought a brand new Rogue from Auffenberg (which was also a good experience) and I started to have software issues with the radio. Since I was one of the first customers to come back with this issue I became a test case. I had to make a few extra trips to try a few different fixes but Tim Clark and his staff went above and beyond to take care of me and my car. I HIGHLY recommend the Nissan service department at Auffenberg. I have owned Nissan's for over 17 years and this is the best service I have received from a dealership EVER. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to accomodate customer requests and time constraints. Can't say enough great things about these guys! read more

After getting my brake pads changed (which, by the way, i was upsold on because they knew I was about to make a 200 mile trip), they left one of my wheels so loose that it almost fell off on that trip. Oh, and it was on the way to my wedding- so, I was already stressed out,and then had to go find a auto repair shop in middle-of-nowhere missouri. (Side note: shout out to Tonys auto repair in Sweet Springs, MO- Tony himself calmed me down ad tightened my lug nuts and sent me on my way- no charge.) if I hadn't called Auffenberg while driving with my question about my shaking car (thats when they told me to pull over and get it looked at) I could have been in a very serious accident. naturally, I asked Auffenberg for my money back for the $400 service charge, which they refused since they "had no interest if i wouldnt be a returning customer." They offered me store credit. Full disclosure- I took it, but don't know that I will use it. I have a pretty bitter taste in my mouth after this experience. read more

I did not appreciate Brad Reno's treatment of me on Saturday, Feb 28, 2015. He played me for a fool. I drove from St. Peters, MO only for him to tell me that the car I was interested in was sold an hour before I arrived. If that wasn't an out and out lie, he should have at least given me a phone call to keep me from driving an hour out of my way. Since it was a total lie, I hope he rots in hell. I had a guy friend call up after I got home, requesting to see that particular car. He was told that it most definitely was on the lot and that it was ready for him to test drive. About 30 minutes after that, I recieved a phone call stating that the car I was interested in was just returned to the lot because the people who bought it gave it back when they realized how much their APR was going to be. Right. Because that's how it works. Auffenberg is a company I will never recommend. I will continuously repeat my experience to others. And I will not hesitate to urge anyone to never use this company. I completely expected to have the salesmen think I'm a moron and try to gouge me on the price. Never did I realize that he would tell me a car was already sold to try to get me to buy something else that he wanted to move off the lot. read more
