Our cashier was super nice and friendly.. she made sure to give me the most fresh pretzel that was out and let me tell you.. if you have never had a right out of the oven pretzel.. you must ask and try! Been here a few times since they opened and I'm glad we have both an Auntie Anne's and Cinnabon in the area. It's weird (in a good way) to have an Auntie Anne's Pretzels as a stand-alone store (at an open shopping center near Whitelock and Bruceville) versus being in a mall (which is the only time I ever see them!) Same products on the menu as any other Auntie Anne's Pretzels (Yay!) Somewhat the same customer service level (Meh). Been here a couple times now and not once have I had an issue regarding food and/service. I usually just a salted pretzel and the cheese dip. Pretzel is nice and warm, perfect softness and slightly toasted which adds a mini crunch to it. The cheese is prepackaged, not warmed up or anything but I don't care. The warmth of the pretzel is good enough to where it also warms up the cheese. Total comes out to around $7. Service is great, staff is super friendly. Overall no complaints. read more

I visited the store last week, bought 2 pretzel cups and a Cinnabon centers for a total of almost $30. The girl at the counter was very unfriendly. I noticed a flyer taped to the counter which had daily specials (free pink lemonade with pretzel purchase on Tuesdays) The girl would only give me one yellow lemonade (I had to ask for it); she said only one with my purchase) which isn't my main complaint... when we got home she hadn't even put the Cinnabon in my bag. I tried calling the store multiple times and nobody answered the phone. No receipt in the bag, either. Lastly, the pretzels were stale and inedible, ended up throwing them away. I reached out to corporate and got a lame apology from them... "Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns with us. We sincerely apologize that your recent experience with Auntie Anne's did not meet your or our expectations. Walked in just a few minutes ago and I was ignored by a young girl. No greetings, no hi. Seemed impatient when I was trying to order. Anything else? Anything else? Her long hair a mess. Whenever I see Auntie Anne's it reminds me of a time when I used to be heavily interested in shopping at the mall. Being a creature of habit, I always treated myself to an Auntie Anne's pretzel to cap off a day (or evening) of shopping. Now that I'm more of an online shopper, I'm rarely at the mall; therefore, there is hardly an opportunity for me to enjoy an Auntie Anne's pretzel. However, that all changed after a recent trip to the nearby Wal-Mart with my son. After a failed attempt to purchase red bark from Wal-Mart, we were walking to my car when we spotted the Auntie Anne's x Cinnabon location. I rarely visit this portion of Elk Grove, so I had absolutely no idea that it existed. What I can tell you is that my son and I were equally excited to have a little afternoon treat. Upon entry we were greeted by an employee who was ready to take our orders. My son ordered the "Center of the Roll" and I ordered a Jalapeño pretzel. I love walking into the smell of warm pretzels with that nostalgia of the mall except that I didn't need to spend so many hours walking around the stores to just come by here. Auntie Anne's shares the same location as Cinnabon, next to Dutch Bros. I showed up 10 minutes early and there was already a line forming. Once they opened up the doors though, the line moved pretty quickly. We were done ordering and paying within 10 minutes but they only had one classic cinnabon left so we had to wait another 10 minutes for the next batch to get my second one. Luckily they gave us everything else while we waited so my son and I could snack on the pretzel bites. The guy and girl at the cashiers this morning were very nice and they apologized to each person about the wait. They had great customer service skills. Everyone working on the food was not so friendly and seemed stressed out, but since they're still in the front of the counters they should still be friendly. There was one lady who appeared to be in charge and managing which items were left but she did not crack a smile or an apology. It seems like they're still a bit disorganized because I saw the group of people ahead of me and they were all waiting on food and given their Cinnabons in different orders, so people who ordered first were getting upset. Hopefully they'll work this out as the store is open longer. As for the taste, really can't go wrong with a classic pretzel but the pretzel bites are definitely easier to munch on. I've been waiting for a pretzel shop that doesn't require me to go to a crowded mall. My wish has come true lol. Very crowded when I came in on a Friday but that's a given since it's a brand new spot that everyone wants to check out. You can see them actually make the cinnamon rolls right in front of you. I actually didn't get any cinnamon rolls but I will return to grab some. Today I only got the cinnamon sugar pretzel and the pepperoni pretzel. They were checking out customers at the register quicker than they were handing out orders. I'm sure they'll get this down better as time goes on. The interior is a bit small but very clean and organized. They had tables for enjoying your purchases at each end of the store and a small kiosk for trash and utensils. I ordered the mini pretzel hot dogs and the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable. She described the sizes for me when she asked me. The food was great, the top was a bit dry because they are in the display. But after the top few the underneath nuggets were nice and soft. Overall great experience! read more

The nostalgia... I really loved this place growing up. Waiting in line every Friday with my friends as a mall rat with my allowance money in hand. Had no idea this establishment had already been open since early January. I've been so excited to visit as I LOVE pretzels and Cinnabon! What a perfect addition to Elk Grove! I love Auntie Anne's and was so excited that it's so close to home. I went twice in the same day and when I went there in the morning, the pretzels tasted as if it was a left over from the day before. It was hard and cold. My husband passed by and went to get the same thing in the evening and it tasted so much better.. it was soft and warm. Really happy there is a Auntie Ann/Cinnabon in EG since driving to Arden always seem to be a hassle to me. The cashier told my boyfriend and I it was about a 15 min wait for Cinnabons since they are busy, we didn't mind waiting so it was okay. Line moved efficiently, however, quality control needs some work. My pretzel was very burnt at the top and it appears from other reviews this is a regular problem. My Cinnabon could have been warmer as well. I saw a worker take a look at another batch of burnt pretzels and hesitate before continuing to place it in the orders he was getting ready as if he knew they shouldn't have been served. I've always love auntie anne's pretzels and it's always on good quality every time I buy it elsewhere. But in this location it's always a hit and miss. Depends on the workers. Probably need more training or oversight on the workers. Whoever is managing this place, need to teach workers on how customer service and food quality is important to success in any business. The location and the place itself is perfect. But having overcooked hard pretzels served to the customer? How is that acceptable! I was very excited for an Auntie Anne's location to open up by my house instead of having to drive to the Arden location. Unfortunately, I was bummed to find they do not sell Pizza Nuggets or Ranch dips which is my go to order at Arden. I assumed a stand alone shop so to speak would have everything a mall location has but apparently that isn't the case. I opted for the mini dogs instead and was disappointed at how burnt they were. But I'll write that one off as a fluke since I know every location has inconsistencies. Still, I think I'll continue making the trip to Arden to get my Auntie Anne's fix unless this one picks up pizza nuggets (and ranch). read more
