I love Auntie Anne's pretzels! The cinnamon sugar pretzel is my favorite. It's the closest I can get to a churro these days. What I love about this place is not only do they sell my favorite pretzels but they also have icee!!! My favorite drink. So basically this is the perfect snack stop in my book! My husband and I went to the Ala Moana store on 10/20/21. We stood at the counter and watched two women one was making pretzels the other was wiping an old cookie sheet and then a used parchment paper. Both women looked at us and the one wiping the parchment paper eventually started towards the counter, as a customer wanting to place an order I felt like they didn't need my business. If you don't put customers first why would you need to make more pretzels. I've been in retail before and you always help the customer first unless you're out of product which they weren't. I had an earned reward for various purchased I made. When I ordered a pepperoni pretzel, I was told the reward did not apply as my order was not listed as a reward option. I then ordered a "mini pretzel dog" which was listed. The employee scanned the "QR" and I paid the remaining balance. I later looked at my receipt and noticed the "reward" applied to the pepperoni pretzel and not mini pretzel dog, which by way, was more expensive and was ordered only because it was listed as a reward option. When I brought this up to corporate attention, they stated the reward applies to the least expensive item. I think this is pretty shady practices. read more

I like this place for the most part. The prices are kind of on the higher side since it's suppose to be more of a "snack" & not a "meal" so I feel it is debatable to fill a craving or settle on an ordinary place for a similar priced item and you wouldn't necessarily be hungry again within an hour. As far as the service, no big complaints. Its counter order and service, so plenty young workers, so understandable if training is not on par as expectations cannot be set too high. The line is typically short with about average of 5 minutes wait time. The thing I disliked the most was how they have this tactic of offering dipping sauce to compliment your pretzel, yet most customers would think it would come with the type of pretzel you choose (NOT!) Be aware of the misleading information... anyone can easily be played for a fool especially if you're in a rush or just hungry and don't notice the extra charge tact on till way after the fact. I'm sure anyone could get frustrated! I think it would help if the business posted a sign in plain view to inform patrons to decide for themselves if it's worth paying the additional cost upfront! One good thing is at this visit, they had a 'seasonal' item with Halloween and Thanksgiving approaching. It definitely is a "must-try"... Pumpkin spice pretzel... it's just SOooo irresistible! I like the cinnamon bites which is my favorite, but took a risk to change it up & tried the pumpkin spice and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Growing up, I wasn't a big fan of pretzels, probably because I haven't had a good pretzel to begin with. My parents always loved snacking on those salty hard pretzels they'd buy from Costco in a huge bag. It gave a bad taste in my mouth. I especially didn't like pretzels from the quick stand which were hard as a rock I can literally throw at someone and knock their teeth out with it. Finally, I decided to give up on all things "pretzels", until a true Pennsylvanian showed me the ways. When the happy half said he adored Auntie Anne's, I didn't care to try it, until I walked by their new unit at Ala Moana Center in Makai Food Court and the smell peaked some interest from my nose to my stomach. I wasn't sure if I smelled Cinnabon or Kona Abalone since Auntie Anne's situates between the two units. I waited until Alexander ordered his Cinnamon Pretzels and I decided to give it a bite. He mentioned he'd always enjoyed them as a kid since the company originated from Pennsylvania. I decided to give it a try. I perused their big screen for the menu. From the specialties menu, the mini pretzel dogs, pepperoni pretzel nuggets, pretzel dogs and pepperoni pretzels looked pretty good and price ranges between $3.89 through $5.99. I do recommend the Pretzel Dog for $3.89 since it was juicy fresh and deliciously filling. Some of the classics are the original pretzels with toppings to choose from. As much as I love roasted garlic & parmesan, I decided to plunge for the cinnamon sugar. This was sinfully delectable and crunchy with the brown sugar coating atop the large freshly twisted pretzels. The combos are not badly priced with a few of the specialties including the dipping sauce (which is normally extra charge) and a fountain drink (price ranges for combos between $6.43 through $8.53). At the time, Brittany was behind the counter. I wanted to earn some points via the Auntie Anne's app to get some free pretzels towards my future purchases. She was kind enough to scan my barcode since I had forgotten all about it. Despite how busy the counter was, she was kind enough to reset my transaction. After, I was ecstatic to have earned a free pretzel towards my next purchase.Special rewards and offers I love spending my hard earned dollars towards a company that pays it forward to a few great causes. I went through such a ridiculous thing today that I really don't want to go to this store again. I ordered pretzels and drinks online around 1pm today. The app said you can pick up around 1:09 pm. When I went to pick it up, The staff told me to wait another 15 minutes because another customer took the last pretzel "just now". I'm pretty sure they just forgot my order. But instead of admitting it, the worker just said someone took it so we have to wait more. We came back and showed again that the website said our order is ready and he said they don't really check online order... like what? Then don't do an online order system! We said we want to cancel and he said cancel using the website, to which we showed him that there is no way to cancel an online order on their site. Again we were told to wait for the order to come. So we were waiting for our food and he changed his mind and gave us a refund instead. What the heck... No sorries at all. It's like he didn't want us there. read more

The girl was very nice and quick ringing me up, however as you can see from the pic, my pretzel has almost NO flavoring on it. She did not even lay the pretzel down to powder it, instead she gave it a few shakes into the upright bag holding the pretzel. Disappointing. read more

They just opened the new auntie Anne's at all moana shopping center. Im a huge pretzel lover so im happy they did! The staff was friendly and service was quick. They were busy as expected. I got my favorite the cinnamon pretzel nuggets and the original with cheese dip. Both were cooked good. They gave me a coupon for my next visit as well! read more

I happened to see this new location last weekend (4/29/17). Pros: it's new. Cons: it's new, thus the 2 star rating because there is definite room for improvement. The staff is new and it seemed like they either were they weren't trained properly or they forgot what they learned in training. On the menu board, there's a "2 pretzel dogs for $6", so I ordered 2. I was charged the regular price for both, which came out to $8+. The cashier didn't realize there was a special promotion. OK, not a big deal and I let her know. She apologized. I was at the mall again today and went to Auntie Anne's, hoping there would be an improvement. To my disappointment, nope. There is only one cash register but not sure why 2 cashiers stand at it. There is no clear line formation. The Asian female who clearly was the last one "in line" thought she could make her own special line to the cashier to order her food in front of the others who were waiting very patiently for the employees to figure out what they were doing. The lady in front of me looked at me and shook her head. I was charged regular price for the same 2 for $6 I purchased last week. The pretzels in the warmer looked like they had been sitting for awhile. Brown edges, dry looking. Other Auntie Anne's- at least the ones on the Mainland-- have cut up samples for customers to try. Rude cashier. Did not want to give me a coupon when politely asked. Had to buy something. So I used my friends recent coupon. He rolled his eyes when I used it and was about to give me a pretzel that was sitting out. Dough is cheap and the pretzels r about $3.50 each without dipping sauce. So it is economical to use the coupon . Employees who r rude should be in the back of the house. The cashier was a young student with glasses and black hair. U should invest in employee training - major topic should be customer service.Product is a strength but customer service is a weakness for this company. read more

If you like licking a salt block, this is your place! If licking a salt block is not you thing then I suggest staying away from here. The hot dog pretzel is beyond salty and not good in any way, shape or form. To make matters worse it is extremely overpriced. Save your tastebuds and your money and go get a better hot dog from Costco. Ordered the #3 combo and the girl working had to study the menu in order to figure out what I wanted. She asked me what I wanted to drink and I replied Coke. She then said the soda machine was broken and asked if I could choose something else. I said a lemonade was fine. She then asked if it was okay that there was an up-charge. Ummmm your machine is broken so why should I pay for an up-charge, I asked. She sarcastically mumbled I don't make the rules. I said well I don't feel like I should be charged because your machine is broken. She charged me anyways WITHOUT an apology. So, about the food ... JUNK ... Cold, salty and not even close to delicious. Seriously the Costco hot dog and soda is $1.50 and a thousand times better. It is probably a thousand times hotter too. Like really, had that thing been sitting there since opening? I was there at dinner time. The cheese sauce might be worse than the cheese sauce you get in an MRE.
