It always feels like a holiday when I stop by Auntie Anne's at a train station, airport, or a shopping mall. I LOVE this place. These are the best fast food soft pretzels I've ever had and I will live by that. The service at this South Station Auntie Anne's was wonderful, the staff was all super friendly and I got my pretzels fast. I always get the cup of pretzel nuggets with hot butter and salt. The only thing here is the high price - the cup was about $9, and sauce is an extra charge. read more

Standardly auntie annes taste. But the dip sauce should really be able to handle a single pretzel order. I can be a greedy dipper but I saw how small my allowance was and self regulated and it still only handled 1/4 of my pretzeling. While this is one of my fave places to grab a quick snack, today I was frustrated and disappointed in general. I approached the man saying "I want to use this reward coupon for any pretzel nugget and lemonade mixer, get a free classic pretzel." I then Indicated that I wanted the pretzel dog nuggets, the FREE classic pretzel, and a lemonade mixer, but I don't know what they are." He then asked if I wanted frozen or liquid, I said "I want the lemonade mixer, for the coupon." He got my pretzels and cheese sauce then instructed the other employee to get the strawberry lemonade. (In a foreign language) I ended up with the mini pretzel dogs, a classic pretzel and a strawberry lemonade, as well as a nearly $15 ticket. I was charged FULL price for my classic pretzel. There was no discount despite scanning my app and coupon. I was SUPPOSED to get the mini pretzel dog nuggets, classic pretzel and lemonade mixer. We got catering from here for work, and we got original, garlic, and pepperoni. The pretzels were normal but a bit cold since they were catered, but they were still chewy and delicious. We also got some sauces (cheese, marinara, glaze) which weren't anything special, but they paired well with the flavors we got. read more

The Carvel Oreo Cookie Thick Shake I got at the Auntie Anne's in South Station was absolutely, 100%, without question the WORST shake I have ever had in my life... and for a premium price! It was not at all thick and wait for it... it was warm! I saw the guy pour milk from a container on the counter which must have been sitting out and getting warm. (Health code alert!) The pretzels at this location are exactly what you would expect. Satisfying but may have been prepared much earlier in the day. Quick service. Got a standard buttered pretzel with salt: $4.25 (train station prices, makes sense). A good treat while coming through to Boston, definitely would do again. I have mixed feelings about this pretzel stand in South Station. I've been here a few times, and my conclusion is that the experience depends on who is working. The original pretzels are just fine - just like any other Auntie Anne's Pretzel stand. However, I asked for a garlic pretzel once, and the employee forgot to flavor it before bagging it, then just barely sprinkled some powder on it. It was super concentrated at the top of the pretzel, and hardly any flavoring on the bottom. This wasn't a huge deal because 1) The employees (two younger/middle-aged guys) were at least nice and smiling - just seemed a bit careless, but whatever - it happens. And 2) Despite the lack of distribution, the garlic flavoring was still pretty good. The times you should worry about if you're going to be chastised and treated poorly is when the older guy (owner?) and woman work. It's more so the man that is rude and incredibly stingy. The woman sort of just sits there, but it seems that they always work their shift together. Just a side note: As for price, I'm not really sure how expensive other stands are (I feel like travel hubs usually have more expensive food just because they can), but this one has regular pretzels for just over 3$. read more

One of the rudest and poorest customer service I've ever had especially at a stand. The man behind the register wouldnt even warm up my pretzel. Also let someone cut me in line, was very nice to the man, then once it was my turn he was nasty and rude. I asked if they had pretzels with sesame seeds, he didnt answer me until I asked for the 4th time. I finally got a cinamon pretzel and he didnt warm it up. It was hard and old. WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN. I work by south station and love Auntie Annes chain as a whole but now I am no longer a customer, they made me feel like I was trash. TERRIBLE.
