This pizza! I'm a big fan of the thin crust. The sausage they use is homemade and tastes wonderful. The pizza is not too greasy or salty; there's a hint of sweetness in the sauce. I almost hate to add that I recently hosted a party there and ordered several combo platters with different combinations. Combo platter allows you to choose 3 appetizers. They felt expensive and sparse. It all tasted like frozen food you could nuke at home - after you added some seasoning. So stick with the pizza. read more

My family and I have loved going to Aurelio's for years! We were so excited to hear that they opened for outdoor seating and went within a few days! I was shocked when we walked in and were greeted with "you have to have a mask on" which my husband and I gladly respected. However, my shock came when the gentleman demanded my son put one on which I explained that he was 2 years old. I was immediately given a response of "I didn't make the law". Out of embarrassment I tried to put a mask on my son( which made the situation 10x more embarrassing). Once we were seated, no high chair or booster was offered and I was told to make sure he remained seated. Again, he is 2 years old, a challenge I wasn't ready for as a mom. Approximately 5 minutes later we saw the same gentleman escort a family of adults to their table; not one wearing a mask. At this point, my husband and I shoveled our pizza in our mouth and left. We spent no more than 45 minutes there. It saddens me to say this, but my family will not be returning to Aurelio's. A pretty decent establishment. I've ordered here multiple times for their pizza and appetizers. The place itself is actually bigger than it looks. The indoor dining is nice, tall ceilings, typical Italian restaurant feel. They have a large outdoor patio with many tables for the spring and summer time. Their pizza is consistently good, along with the appetizers, specifically their bruschetta. We order pretty simply from here, sausage and cheese pizzas, but they're always good. The crust is crisp and crunchy, the meats are thick and flavorful. Not great, but pretty good if you're around the Addison area, or need a bite to eat while waiting for your movie to start next door at Marcus Theatre. read more

I met a friend for the lunch buffet. I won't go there again for the buffet. Very mediocre. It was like $10. I think the buffet is from 11-2.

If it weren't for my waiter this place could easily be a four, if not a five. The food is fabulous and the lunch buffet a great value. The ambiance reminds me of a cozier East Side Mario's. If it weren't for the waiter (GRR?) it would have been a near perfect experience. Unfortunately, he was one of those guys with a feminine arrogance to the point my standard 20% was easily taken to 10 and a clear sneer for a thank you and good bye. This is a great restaurant in a small corner ( maybe not for long) because they are that good ! I go there for the buffet and the food is as high quality as a regular entree would be no bland filler type food here . The price is so reasonable that I and my husband can still see the matinee next door and make a whole afternoon of it ! The sour dough rolls are the best too and even though I'm not a super big fan of oatmeal cookies even those are very tasty. They simply can't get anything wrong as far as I've experienced. Food was sub par and service was good until we had a question about our bill. There was a lot of confusion in our own party but our server handled it was unprofessional and not appropriate. There was a ton of back and forth (which I wanted to stop as they were closing) but it was hard to get an explanation of what happened. We eventually found out that the prices have since changed by a few dollars and the menu was outdated. That's all fine, but more than one person had confusion and it could have been explained when we ordered. My group insisted that we all leave a good tip for service but the whole experience made me want to stay away for dine in or take out. The server was very accommodating and the appetizers were okay, but how we were treated afterwards was annoying enough to never return. read more

Terrible service on Easter. Lost our reservation for 8 and then gave us seating 20 min later. 4 in a booth and 4 at another table! The owner asked us if we didn't like each other? HUGE mistake! Best pizza in Chicagoland. Not too thick - or thin, and perfect crust.

One of the best Aurelio's in the chain. Consistently great pizza. I've been eating at Aurelios since the 1970's and do not see that changing. Thin crust is the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of the stuffed pizza. Garlic bread is very good (ask for dipping sauce). The real star here though is the Antipasto Salad, its still as good as the first time I tried it in Homewood many years ago. Highly recommend! I go here all the time with my family. The menu has alot of choices but you come here for the pizza enough said. I don't what it is but the sauce is very sweet and its a perfect combination with the great crust. For toppings you have to get the carmelized onions they are so so good. read more

Thanks so much for opening in South Loop where I now reside. In the 90's I lived a mile from the Harwood Ave restaurant which still the best. For the first week with the new ovens, the pizza was very good. The sauce was not quite as rich and zesty as the original (a bit salty) and the crust wasn't quite as buttery. That said the pizza was great. If the bar was not set so high, my comments wouldn't be nearly so specific or tough. However I'm a thin crust fan from Flossmoor and to be the best you gotta keep pushing. I'll be back in 3-4 weeks to check things out. Thx Joe read more

I have to give Aurelio's in Addison 5 Stars. We just went there after the show and had another excellent meal!! I asked if they had "marshmellow vodka" . No, but they had marshmellow syrup. Had a marshmellow martini. Well, you haven't lived. Ha! Comes with 4 teenie-tiny marshmellow as a garnish. Cute! We had a stuffed artichoke appetizer for the first time. It had a delicious lemon seasoning and, I think, they use Panko breadcrumbs because the stuffing was crispy-good. Had their largest thin crust spinach/sausage pizza because we like to have plenty of leftovers. It'snot just spinach on a pie. It's a special marinated recipe that's to die for. The service was excellent. We went early -- like 5:30 or so. Our server was very attentive...the bussers cleared our plates in the heartbeat...asked if we'd like refills promptly. I was really pleasantly surprised with the service because it was top notch. We ate inside, but they have a beautiful terrace out back. Their pizza is delicious! read more

You can't beat the food and the prices, the lunch buffet is terrific. The only downside is they are not very child/family friendly at lunch in their outdoor patio. Very happy I decided to walk in. They played a variety of Italian music which I loved, had a friendly staff interested in their customers, and the food was delicious! I just love this place and their pizza. I really think they do have the best pizza sauce. A bit pricey, but you get what you paid for. Once they even delivered the wrong order and they made up for it and brought a brand new pizza and threw in some pop. I really never had any issues. read more

Although I liked their Pizza, their customer service is terrible. I would order $60 to $70 worth of food twice a month and I couldn't get a $2 off coupon. Went for pizza tonite and food was good but the service was a little irritating. The help would constantly want to sweep your plates away, when your weren't even done. Ii felt rushed and uncomfortable eating there because you had to make sure you didn't stop eating or they would take it away. Also when we first walked in it smelled like a dirty mop. read more

Gluten Free to the EXTREME and it's local, and they deliver, and prices are great! Getting the opportunity to speak with one of the owners, she was glad to inform my wife and I that majority of the menu items can easily be converted to Gluten Free. Will never go back to the Aurelios in Addison. Service was horrible. It took the waitress a very long time to make it to our table initially -- we should have left then. We had to wait long intervals for her to come back to the table with the drinks, check, etc. Restaurant was not very crowded. They screwed up the order and then when she brought the pizza the waitress knocked my husband's beer all over him. It took her more than 10 minutes to bring him another which she charged us for. We actually like the pizza here but this is the worst service I think I have ever had at a restaurant and no pizza is worth it. read more

WOW! Awful! Rude customer service. I'm in shock. I was placed in a room last night next to a big group of people. The owner was apparently called to their table and although I don't have the specifics of what even transpired with that group, what I witnessed from the owner was completely unacceptable. The way she spoke to her customers would not be allowed in any place of business whatsoever. What I did get from the conversation was that she mistakenly seated this group of people in error, thinking it was a party that had a reservation. Doesn't sound like that was the customers fault to me but she certainly made them feel like it was THEIR fault with the way she was speaking to them. The large group said they were going to just leave as it was apparent she didn't want their business and as they all got up to leave, the owner shouted "you know what? Get out of here. I don't need you!" Oh my goodness, I was so embarrassed by this woman's behavior. I, too, would have left if I were this group. No one should be treated that way. The way the customers were spoken too would be reason enough for me to get up and leave as well. I would not return to this place of business. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!! The owner of this restaurant was so rude. We were a group of 21 (5 moms and 16 kids). We had just finished playing laser tag and decided last minute to go out of dinner. We walked in with no expectations...we were greeted immediately with hostility and rudeness. The owner has terrible customer service. We got seated and the rudeness continued with our waitress. Kids menus were never even offered (even though a majority of our kids were under the age of 10). After the drink orders were a fiasco, the owner came to talk to us about why the kids could not have free drinks (even though it says they are included in the kids meal). She was SO rude. She told us to pay for our drinks and get out. We were there over 45 minutes and never even got our food orders in. We refused to pay for the drinks. The owner said a few choice words to us...not sure if she just didn't like kids. She kept asking why we would show up without reservations. read more

Saturday night April 26, 2014 we stopped in for dinner. We had the pizza at least 5 times and was very pleased. For starters we had the stuffed mushrooms my husband thought they tasted like the smell of dirt. I ordered the chicken Milanese which came breaded in a brown sauce with mushrooms. The mushrooms were good the chicken tasted as though it was frozen and them microwaved. Not good at all. My husband ordered the beef bracciole not sure what the stuffing was, he thought it was awful.
