Italian Beef with red sauce & mozzarella
    Belisia R.

This is supposed to be an Italian Beef with red sauce & mozzarella. After having to return to this location to get the corrected sandwich because the first one was just some dry beef laying in a bun. This was about a third of the sandwich that was left. It had maybe one good slice of beef remaining. No cheese in sight. Almost $11.00 for this??? I have lived in this area my whole life & gone to this location( Crete, Il) for decades. What a big disappointment. We're trying to do our part by supporting local businesses but our hard earned money deserves mutual respect. We'll probably still give them our business but our visits will probably be fewer & farther between. Perhaps some retraining is needed. Papa Joe would not be happy.

Order pizza from Aurelio's (Chicago Heights) at 8PM. 8:45, the pizza came. Opened the box and the whole pizza was burnt. Call right away and are told they will send another right away! My son asked over and over again where the pizza is. I promise him one is coming. Hour passes, nothing. Drive there to find they are closed...

When you arrive there is a large seating area to the left, includes lots of larger tables for bigger groups. Then if you wind your way into the main area, there are tables that face outward on the first floor, a middle section with seating and then a balcony area. Really interesting restaurant that was fun to walk around. Our server was great - we had a large party and orders were taken and we didn't wait too long for food to start arriving. On recommendation we ordered the stuffed pizza - which is like a calzone. Lots of cheese, toppings, great crust and delicious red sauce on top! Not quite a deep dish but oh so delicious. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was shareable and the garlic sticks! Food was hot, fresh and I can't wait to go back for the pizza! Only downside was we had to pay by table and all the drinks ended up on my check, which added a few hundred dollars. Overall pizza was amazing and I'll be back!

The pizza is what they are known for but I come in for the soup, salad and chicken. The salad bar has all my favorites like the green and black olives, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, homemade croutons, red onion and more with all the classic dressings. If I eat in a proper diners order I hardly ever have room for pizza. Which in my mind says I ate healthy and hearty. As for the environment, it's small and cozy just enough room to keep good business. Not too big, and not so small you feel cramped. Thanks Chicago Dough for a nice weekday meal that I didn't have to cook. $10.49/pp plus drinks.

CDC's pizza has been OUTSTANDING for decades! Why are the south suburbs so reluctant to provide quality eateries while instead subjecting its residents to fast food drivel?! Family owned/operated establishments are the highjacked victims of municipality greed! The south suburbs need to realize that its residents drive miles NORTH or WEST for quality grocers, clothiers, housing, AND cuisine. If south suburban régimes would invest in its neighborhoods, they might redefine themselves and have "northerners" hit I-57 SOUTH for a worthy lifestyle. In the meantime, CDC, move up north where you will be appreciated! Shame on you, Richton Park, IL, and other south suburbs like you!!!

They turn the phones off because they're "swamped," which seems to be the only word they were trained to use. A very rehearsed response. I went in and there were 6-7 of us in line and 3 waiting. 3 kids working the front taking orders (one main girl and one going back and forth and another STANDING by the phone). Multiple kids throwing pizzas in the back (as you can see through the glass showcase). Turning their phones off isn't about being "swamped" it's about trying to manipulate consumers into thinking they're swamped if a consumer goes there in person. Shady business tactics to use on consumers in today's economy. Their prices are obscenely high. $17 for a small pizza with one topping is a joke. The son should not be running this business.
