I was close by the neighborhood at a family members house getting ready for the weekend football games and didn't want to cook. This restaurant was close by so I decided to try them out. I ordered my items online to get a better deal. The pizza had good flavor, the dough was thin, but in my opinion if you don't eat it fresh out the box from when you first get it, the crust will be a little tough. The customer service that I received from the young lady was nice and polite. As far as the sanitation goes, it wasn't good. When I went in to wait and add more items to my order. I seen employees not using gloves and no hair nets, especially the employees with long /extra long hair. If this restaurant make small improvements they would be better then what they are now. I proceeded to let the front desk staff know and asked if I could get an already made small food item comped for the inconvenience since I was already in a rush. They said no, but they could remake my pizza if I waited. I decided to take my pizza as-is as I was already running late. About an hour later I received a text from 708-554-9937 telling me I need to check myself next time before complaining about my order. They proceeded to text me for an additional 2 hours complaining and harassing me because I told them that my order was wrong. I had Marco's pizza once many years ago and recalled it being pretty good. So that's the reason I decided to have it again. My sister picked up a medium pie on her way home for about $16. She said it was ready within 15 minutes of her calling in the order. We thought it was just okay. I liken it to a cross between a frozen pizza and pizza that might be served at a dive bar. If you mention something that is wrong you get attitude. Recently I ordered 1/2 sausage, 1/2 Peperoni cut into squares ( makes it the right size for children) with NO GARLIC SAUCE. What I received was all a sausage and Peperoni cut into slices ( too big for children ) and SOAKED in garlic sauce. The last time I ordered the pizza not only was cut into slices, but we counted 42 slices ! Some slices were 1/2 wide ! Others were 3 times that. I'm graciously giving them two stars. I was not satisfied with my pizza. It was sitting on a top shelf; I had to point it out to the cashier. It has been several hit or misses with this place. However, I expected consistency. It was a fail. It did not wow my guests. The pizza and wings were barely warm. I placed an order in advance; it was evident that the order was prepared immediately. This means it was sitting for over 45 minutes before my scheduled pickup. Highly disappointed. Who wants to order carry-outs and have to nuke it right after picking up an order? Not me. Had Marco's a few days ago and it surprised tf out of me. I'm over here arguing with people saying Pizza Hut is a better commercial chain pizza restaurant than dominos but Marco's surpasses them with ease. Good tasting sauce, cheese don't get all hard when it's cold like dominos and little Caesar and taste like a nice low moisture mozzarella. Crust is slightly better than dominos crust and has less sponginess in the crust. Price was nice it's something you won't regret buying or hesitate buying because there's cheaper pizza but wow again surprise me. Service sucks. Been going to the local Marcos since its inception approx 12 yrs. It must have changed hands or went through a massive management changeover. On Monday June 24th at 8:15 PM I Called multiple times never an answer on phone so I went in and ordered in person for a carry out. Noticed phone ringing off the hook not being answered, two teenagers standing around talking while one Manager was running from station to station trying to put out food.Obviously short handed and inexperienced workforce.Was told in person my order would be done in 10 or 11 minutes, the usual time. I prepaid. Waited 18 minutes and asked the manager if it was ready. He couldn't find the order and finally saw it had never been pulled . Then said it would be ready in 6 or 7 minutes. I waited 15 minutes, one pizza was prepared the entire time I was there (32min) and it was discarded. I asked again and saw nothing was even being prepared. So I left and cancelled my order. After 32 minutes, plus crew was not answering phone or producing pizza. This is a very busy establishment putting out many pizzas an hour. I can only speculate a changeover in ownership or management is the cause. It has been exceptional for most of the 12 yrs I frequent. Now I have a charge for the small thin crust pepperoni that I spent 32 minutes in the store and did not receive. I realize we are there weekly but their customer service has always been amazing. I used to live in the town where the Marco's world head quarters is located. Now I'm not bragging just giving a little insight as to why I choose to give this Marco's a five star review. I've been to quite a few locations in my life and this one lives up to what I've expected of the Marco's brand for many, many years. They get the pizzas done fast and make them delicious each time. I'm always able to convince my wife to get a fresh pizza from Marco's instead of making a frozen. It barely costs more and fresh is always better. This location has really great service. I ordered a large pizza and 8-piece wings. My son picked up the order but I received a call from a male who advised that the wrong order had been given to him and that he should return for the correct order. I called my son who turned around. He called me to report that a rude female took the returned pizza from his hands to give to the correct customer who was in the restaurant. My son told her she should make a new order for that customer but the female told him, "this has nothing to do with you." I called to speak with a manager and a female came on the line. When I asked if she interacted with my son, she said she was not the one who gave him the wrong order but she is the one who corrected it. I told her what my son said and she became defensive, denying the comments. I asked for her name which she reluctantly gave as "Lex". Apparently, my son had already left but he called as he was returning home to let me know that this person named Lex shoved his order in his hands and when he asked for her name, she walked away. He asked the other employees for her name and they refused to tell him. Well, it does not end here. The order was wrong. Green olives instead of green peppers were added and the packs of parmesan cheese and crushed rep peppers were not included. I called again and spoke with the manager, Eric, who offered a $5 credit. I refused and advised that I will reverse the charge with my bank. He, instead, said he would void the order. My son, who has autism, is a regular customer of Marco's but I will advise him to never do business here again. Why would it be acceptable to give a person the wrong order after they arrive to pick up, ask that they take more time to return, speak rudely to that customer, refuse to identify themselves, and on top of that still get the order wrong? read more
