Im a sucker for a good donut but I will drive hours for a good donut hole! These were the best of my life!!! So many options and the honey glazed are insanely delicious! The staff was patient with my slow decision making and very pleasant. Will be back for that big honey glazed and more holes!!!

Absolutely the best donuts for the price you are going to find in Seattle and I've been all over the little French bakeries and such. Doce bakery is good but hell expensive. The old Laurel which is now moonrise Cafe is hell expensive $6 for one pastry and two flaky to eat anywhere but outside. And not so great on the filling. But when it comes to Aurora donuts you can get four of the best donuts including an apple fritter for under $10. They open a little late but it's worth the wait and they have no problem with a customer base solid. I always get a maple barn, an apple fritter, a lemon filled, and an old fashioned glazed and man if I am not tempted to eat all four at once but I like to save at least two for tomorrow's breakfast. You can do that if you swing by before closing which I think is 7:00 it wrapped them tightly and they'll be just as fresh for tomorrow morning on your dining table. Absolute top recommendation with an extra star or flag if they had it. Easy access to and from Aurora avenue North at 135th Street by the Wells Fargo Bank and just south of The office Depot.

The past five visits have been stellar and mostly on behalf of The Homie. He often receives extra items due their generosity towards high school and college students. Time for an updated post since I find myself often detouring here versus another doughnut shop in Lynnwood. There's a wide variety of doughnuts available, even from mid afternoon until closing. They also offer discounts after 5pm, 5 for $7. There's also ice cream and milkshakes. No onsite seating, just takeout. No surprise with its North Seattle/Aurora location. Go and support this indie, family run business! Increased from 3 to 4 stars.

Came to check out Aurora Donuts this afternoon, Sunday 28 May 2023, and found the food items were take out only. We were still allowed to enter the shop to place our orders. After looking over the donut offerings, I went with a honey-dipped donut (ring) and an apple crumb donut (filled). The total was $3.50, I paid with cash and tipped the change. I also received a donut hole, which I would guess was a honey-dipped as well. The worker at the counter was following COVID-19 protocols and was cordial, a barrier was in place between the worker/baked goods area and the customer area. Both the honey-dipped ring donut and the donut hole were very light and fluffy, the donut hole almost too much so for my taste buds. The ring donut was a little less airy. Honey flavor added sweetness without a sugar taste residue, a nice variation for sweet flavor in a donut. Of the three items, I thought the apple crumb donut (which I found out was a filled donut) was the best of the batch. It had toasted coconut on top and was filled with an apple pie-like mixture. I found it to be a satisfying donut both on its own and as a part of the batch.

This place is a 4 star for now with a potential for 5 star as we need to try more things here. We were in the area so we decided to stop by as I'm still on a mission to try as many donut shop in the greater Seattle as I can and this was on my list :) We came around 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday and it was kinda empty at first but after, the regulars came and there was a small line. There's a small parking lot in front and it looks like they serve ice cream as well. After a lot of debate, we decided on the maple bacon donut, the French crueller, and the toasted coconut. Maple bacon (4.5/5), a little pricey at $3.69 but according to my husband 'one of the best maple bacon donut he has eaten'. The sweet and salty flavor was really balance and I love the extra pepper on the donut. Also light and fluffy. Crueller (5/5). I love cruellers and so I can be picky about which cruellersnare good. And these are good. They are crispy on the outside and sturdy but the inside is soooo soft and air. Most places is too soft and flabby. Toasted coconut (3/5) - this was kinda disappointed compare to the other 2. The inside was filled with Bavarian cream and the shredded coconut are on top but you can't really taste the coconut at all. Its still soft and fluffy though and there was a substantial amount of cream inside. Definitely want to come back to try their other donuts and it looks like they do end of the day sale where you buy 6 donuts for $7.

6 donuts for $7 deal (I already ate the free one she gave me)

I came here just after 5 pm on a Tuesday. No one was in line but the donuts definitely were picked over - not a bad thing though, usually means the opposite! Micky (sp?) greeted me as I came in and was extremely friendly. I took advantage of the 6 donuts for $7 deal after 5PM deal. Although "deal" may loosely describe the price I still enjoyed picking out my donuts and getting Micky's recommendations. When it came time to pick my final option I was stuck between 2 (maple and marble frosted). I asked for her opinion and she just gave me both for no extra charge - so I ended with 7 donuts for $7! Cash is preferable but they do take card ($.39 fee). Ambiance is nothing crazy, expect a traditional donut shop vibe! That being said I will definitely be back!

We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

I tried the passionfruit creme brulee donut, and though a bit pricey ($6), it was worth the money. The top of the donut had that perfect creme brulee torched top, and the passion fruit inside was perfectly tangy, which offset the fattiness from the donut itself. There is nowhere to sit here, so be prepared to take your donuts to go. The shop does sell some beverages, like water or milk, to help you get in the donut mood. The service on my visit was fine.
