A great spot for a morning pick-me-up -- they have a lovely Matcha Latte and the BEST donuts. The donuts have awesome fillings and rotating flavors, I've really yet to find one that I didn't love but Pistachio was a recent standout. They're so light and airy, a great snack.

Fluffy and light I love how the donuts are not too sweet and not too heavy, but I would say it is really expensive for one. When I like to "spoil" myself to a treat, I get one, but would never get it regularly sadly.

Perfect study spot! The music and chatter levels were perfect for productivity. There was a nice loft area, which was isolated enough to get work done but also busy for the ~coffee shop work sesh~ vibe. The aesthetic feels elevated and clean, while not overly minimalist or sterilized. As people came and went, nobody seemed to have any trouble getting seating on a Sunday. Some seats had outlets too, so you can snag one of those if you need it. Maple lattes are my favorite, and they did it well! The donut too was light and fluffy (although a tad pricey). Both weren't too sweet and had a bit of salt that brought the taste together.

I was visiting Seattle and staying with a friend that lives in Capitol Hill and looked up breakfast and coffee shops one morning and stumbled upon General Porpoise and saw their malasada like donuts. They are like sugar donuts filled with custards and fillings. I got a box of 6 for my family that also was visiting Seattle. The flavors that day were vanilla custard, lemon curd, chocolate marshmallow, coconut cream, passion fruit curd, and apricot jam. Service was so quick, the person working was so helpful and got me in and out of there quickly. They have touch to pay. There's places to sit inside and hang out, nice chill spot to grab some coffee and donuts and catch up. There is street parking around the store too. They are a bit pricy, for my 6 donuts it was around $35. So almost $6 a donut. My family devoured it and we all shared and tried the different flavors.

Updating to 5 stars based solely on coffee. I'm a big coffee enthusiast (make pourovers and espresso drinks at home) and find myself coming back here a lot! General Porpoise always has a variety of 2-3 quality beans on the pourover, ranging from medium to light roast. They use a Kalita wave setup. The drinks are served in a Kalita carafe -- an upgrade from before when they used to brew directly into the cup itself. It generally costs around $6-7.5. The baristas are friendly and happy to walk you through the different beans as well :)

They done it again! These addictive gems are simply too good to be true. The dough in itself is simply sublime with plenty of flavour and the perfect texture. It really does stands up on its own. No wonder why the simple sugar coated donuts are always sold out. We got the vanilla custard, churro cream (must try) and the lemon curd fillings. All had fantastic consistency and balanced flavour. The only thing is that it felt less plump (less filling) than we recall in the past at other locations we went to. We will probably skip this location in the future and go back to our usual spot.

High ceilings, two-tiered clean space to grab a coffee and chat or do work. I tried the classic vanilla custard doughnut, a brioche/malasada-esque dough. There was a heavier salt note than I anticipated but I enjoyed the salty-seeet. Wish there was more cream and I thought $6 is wild to pay for one doughnut.

Whenever I see a malasada, I gotta try it. There were some unique flavors that really caught my attention such as the huckleberry one, the strawberry rhubarb was tasty, and it was light and fluffy. Come check them out!

This spot was on my list on a recent trip to Seattle. We walked here from our hotel and got here first thing in the morning. A staff member was setting everything up for the morning and he was so nice. It was hard to pick a flavor but being a lemon lover, I knew I had to try the lemon curd. The curd was tart which I liked because it contrasted with the sweet doughnut. It was a nice pairing. The coffee I ordered was the lavender latte. I've tried many a lavender latte and this one was so nice and not too heavy on the floral notes. The cute area upstairs has seating options so we sat and enjoyed our doughnuts and coffee. So glad we came here!

I drove 3 hours to eat this donut! I love these filling donuts especially the Vanilla Custard here. Highly recommend for a sweet snack and a good latte. A great spot to study as well. Parking is challenging around this around.

you guys (crying face) These donuts will be the best donuts you will ever try in your life. Literally no donut that I have ever tried compare to General Porpoise. I have been going for years and I can tell you that the consistency, taste, and quality year after year has not changed. I also love that this bakery's sole purpose is there donuts which means they have perfected them and made them to be the best of the best. Vanilla Custard: In my opinion the best one at this shop. The perfect vanilla custard consistency in the middle and the fresh made dough all go together in perfect harmony. Advice: They close at 3pm and sell out quite often. So I advise to go earlier to make sure you get some of these donuts. They are worth it. The service is quick and easy so you don't really spend much time here. Also the atmosphere inside is so calming and peaceful.

My friends and I came to this shop on a whim because the orginal donut shop we wanted to go to was closed on the Monday. We got: vanilla custard, lemon custard, and chocolate hazelnut. The donuts were good! The cafe is pretty small with limited seatings but it's a good place to grab a quick drink and snack.

I had to try it…read more I saw this cute spot on inKind after walking by it during several Seattle visits and finally decided to stop in after reading another review that mentioned that they are nut-free. Spoiler: Absolutely no regrets, I wish I had visited earlier! I ordered a six pack with a variety of their donuts and shared them with four friends, having a bit of each. I'm glad we did it this way because I don't think I could have finished some of these donuts solo. I also had a seasonal rose latte at half sweetness which was decent, but very wholesomely came with a little donut hole that was pretty good. I will say, they nailed all the flavors. If you like the flavor, probably a 4/5 donut overall. They just weren't always my cup of tea. So the scores here are for personal enjoyment more than anything - like I said, they're solid donuts. Sour Watermelon (2/5): Holy smokes, this one felt like it was punching your taste buds. It's almost confusing on how this is in a donut form. It's more like a sour patch kid. It's intense. I don't think I could solo one. Mango Tajin (3/5): Similar to the sour Watermelon, it's perplexing how this is a donut. It was a bit spicy and tangy, just as the flavor implied. Cookies & Cream (3.5/5): Get ready to get messy. It's crumbly. It's sweet. It's more like a normal donut. Matcha Strawberry (4.5/5): My favorite of the weird flavors of donuts. They really aced the matcha flavor and it's well balanced for a donut. Blueberry Fritter (2.5/5): This was pretty hyped up, but honestly I felt like the blueberry flavor was overpowered just by the sheer amount of sugar. Texture was good, it just felt so sweet. Overall, I'd definitely recommend for a fun experience. Share some different flavors! Paid via inKind with no issues.

We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

I usually do not love old fashioned, but this wasn't dry at all. Glaze had good vanilla flavor and probably as good as this gets.
