Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. When we arrived, we were told Leah had overbooked and Billy would be taking us instead. I offered to wait for Leah, but my concerns were disregarded. The entire service felt rushed. Her toenails were poorly shaped, and the Dazzle Dry polish was thick, chunky, uneven, and left on her cuticles. When I asked for it to be cleaned up, I was told "after." For her manicure, she was left sitting in the pedicure chair. It was extremely uncomfortable for her, and the manicure was just as rushed, with poor shaping and uneven polish. We were then hurried to the drying station, where one of her nails was smudged. Rather than redoing it, another employee tried to smooth it out with her fingertip. When I asked if it could simply be redone, I was told, "That will take longer." At checkout, they also refused to honor the 15% senior discount currently advertised on their website and charged me $5 more than the prices listed online. I had hoped to find a salon where I could bring my mom and have her feel genuinely pampered and cared for. Sadly, this was not it. Several of the negative reviews described experiences very similar to ours, and I now wish I had paid closer attention to them. I hope the owner does the same.

I've always had pain after getting my underarms waxed for at least up to 24 hours after I get it done. I had none after the initial ripping pain lol. Charming nail is one of the only salons in the area which offers dazzle dry, but the consistency of the service is all over the place. Some technicians follow the dazzle dry procedures perfectly which results in a long lasting manicure, but others don't and my nails chip less than 24 hours after being done. This is frustrating when I'm spending $30 plus tip for something that doesn't last. Especially when I'm getting nails done for a special event. Impeccable. Professional. Serene. I moved to Providence from Boston a few months ago and immediately began my search for the perfect nail salon in my new city. Not only did I find the best salon in Providence, I think I found the best salon in New England. I was a regular at of the "best" salons in Boston and none of them hold a candle to Aurora. The space is absolutely spotless - not even a trash bag in sight. The polish selection is incredibly wide. The pedicures are awesome and the manicures turn out gorgeous. Every cent is worth it! There isn't a detail that goes unnoticed by the owner, Shanny, from the layout of the space, to the decor, to the tiny little ring holders at the manicure station. She operates this business with the utmost integrity and is a total professional. Over the course of one appointment you'll see her consult with a client on color choice, empty the trash, or hop on to do a manicure herself. It's clear that no job is too big or too small for her - that is so refreshing to see. It's clear she takes pride in the quality of her business and it shows. I've had Maggie doing my nails now for a few months and they are always *exactly* what I want. She knows what she's doing and is quick, efficient, and incredibly thorough. As a bonus, her massages are AMAZING. She is very talented. I don't think I could ever go to anyone else! This place was very unprofessional and I was extremely disappointed. I came in with a small wedding party (5) and we waited at the front desk for about 20 minutes just for someone to come up and check us in to say we're here. While getting our nails done no one really talked to us leaving the environment awkward. Not only did the bride want tips and a few gems which every salon SHOULD have. But no our bride was unable to get gems because they didn't have any and could not gets tips because ONE technician did them but they didn't say anything to us prior while making our appointments before hand. While on the way out we were all rudely confronted about tipping our technicians (which technically you don't need to but obviously we did). They said they didn't see us too them with cash so to give them our venmo names to tip them (which mind you want we DID tip in cash). Overall experience was horrible.
