Owning a condo in SanDestin means I have a lot of local favorites, so as soon as I heard a restaurant moved in where Busters used to be I had to check it out. I always loved Busters' dive bar, laid back, type of feel but Austons brought a welcome change. The renovation was done beautifully and you can tell no shortcuts were taken. While here we ordered the smoked tuna dip, the tot-chos with BBQ, and Lebron's Lobster macaroni and cheese. The smoked tuna dip was a bit salty but Melissa, our waitress, was quick to make it right and was very kind throughout our entire dining experience. I would've taken a picture of the tot-chos but we ate them so fast I didn't get the chance! The Mac and cheese was SO good and loaded with lobster!! Even the side of mixed greens was delicious! Food tasted good! The southwest egg roll appetizers were delish! Wait time was perfect as we were the only ones there when they opened for lunch today, business did pick up though! We beat the Saturday lunch crowd! The establishment was well maintained and I was able to notice that they had just completed mopping the floor with disinfectant! It was not overwhelming at all, but a good feeling to know that they took pride in cleanliness. Patio was dog-friendly and provided us room for our little pup! She loved it there. Great service but the food was terrible. Wife got blackened scallops and I had the blackened grouper tacos. The blackened spices were way too overpowering. We couldn't finish the food. My daughter had the fried fish and couldn't eat because the fish was soggy. Not sure how that is possible. We are never too critical but feel we would have been better off at Long John Silvers. Came here for lunch and it was a good experience. Great beer selection and a comfortable indoor and outdoor seating area. Our waitress was very friendly and to start thing's off I went with the oyster, clam and shrimp appetizer which was a win. They have a their own cocktail sauce that has a bite to it and I enjoyed it. Then did the fresh grouper blackened and it was very a really good cut of fish. My only real complaint is I wish they had more non fried options on the menu, but really enjoyed this spot and will be sure to return. read more

Reviews were positive so decided to take a chance. We started with the charbroiled oysters we got a dozen with the 3 different types a recommendation from our waitress, they were some of the best we have ever eaten. Our waitress was the absolute best, very attentive, with several excellent recommendations. The southwest egg rolls were on point, followed by the blackened fish tacos which were amazing! We substituted the fries for the hush puppies because on a yelp review enjoyed them so much and they did not disappoint! We had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be making this restaurant a must when return to Destin! read more

We took a chance on this place, and it did not disappoint. We took a party of 15 on a weekend in October. They seated us quickly and made us feel welcome. The service was excellent. It was my niece's birthday so they sang to her and offered a complimentary dessert. It was pretty busy and loud but they had it under control. The raw oysters were delicious. I needed to fulfill a craving for fried crab claws before heading back home, but with market pricing and varying serving sizes, you don't know what to expect unless you ask. When I called they were so nice (and helpful) on the phone, so we went straight there. It was a slow night and all of our food (4 people) came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The crab claws were perfectly cooked and a fair portion for the price, and everyone else was pleased with their orders, too. There were just a couple no-name basketball games on, but if you were looking for a sports bar atmosphere, this would be it. 12 large TVs line one big wall, with about 12 more (just a guess) scattered throughout the rest of restaurant. read more

Just arrived in Sandestin last night after a 9 hour drive and wanted a take out dinner. We ordered four dinners for pick. Call a head ordering was easy and every order was correct. I had fried fish tacos with slaw and held the jalapeño salsa. It came with French fries. Enjoyed the whole meal. Not real got, but take is that way most time and places. Another had the seafood sampler. He wanted it broiled but they said fir takeout it had to be fried , he enjoyed his dinner. Another had the blackened shrimp and she too enjoyed her dinner. Side of green bean they said was spicy others said they were not. I tried a hush puppy and it was very spicy for me but others enjoyed. Last personal the fish tacos and said she wished she had not held the jalapeño salsa that it needed more flavor.. All in all a good meal. read more

When we told her it was a little loud, she rudely said "well it's a sports bar" and then rolled her eyes while walking away. Our server initially told us he was "new" but later said he said he was about to go on vacation--this was because he didn't have answers to our questions regarding beer selections and menu. That's ok though, he was a nice enough guy and made us welcome. We had fried pickles, lobster tacos, my husband had an oyster po boy, and we shared dessert. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. If you want to watch "the game" and eat fried food, this is your place. Plenty of tv's, fun atmosphere, lots of options on menu. This was a great night at a sports bar. The pretzel appetizer was great. I get the club sandwich and fries. The fries were great, and the sandwich was almost perfect (it had a touch too much mayo). Wow! This is a little gem. From the outside you wouldnt think much of the place being located in a shopping plaza, but we loved it! The owners are from Nashville so a lot of their dishes have cute Nashville themed names. We had a party of 9 and were quickly sat and waited on.
