It was exactly what we were looking for so we knew we HAD to make the drive to test it out. Once there, Billy graciously picked us up from the car rental agency and took us to the shop. We had a mini tour of Chicago along the way! WV to IL is not your typical drive to a dealership so when we received AMAZING and DOWN TO EARTH service from Zak and Billy it made the experience all the better. We were there for quite awhile working out the details (Zak has incredible knowledge about these types of cars) and growing accustomed to a type of car we've never driven. Not once did they rush our decision or pressure us into purchasing. They even lent us a vehicle to grab lunch while they fixed a few small details on the vehicle (i.e. bulbs). There was one small issue that could not immediately be taken care of (since we lived out of town), however Zak agreed to order the part and fix it free of charge if we could make it back up or slightly drop the price. It might sound crazy but we didn't hesitate to choose to come back! The car was already at an amazing price so we couldn't pass it up. We drove off with our dream car that day! A few months later we were able to drive back up (mini vacation) for Zak to resolve the issue free of charge as promised! He was on the ball and had the car ready within a few hours. I own a 2009 VW CC VR6 4Motion sedan. Basically a computer with 280HP on wheels. Growing up with a shop full of tools, I've always been reluctant to take my car anywhere, other than my Dad's garage. I'm afraid those days are now over, with all of the technology in cars these days. Word of mouth brought me to Auto Boutique Chicago for Rear Brakes, Haldex Clutch Service (AWD) and a Brake Fluid Flush. I had a bad experience at another local "specialty" shop a while back, and needed a new place to take my CC. Scheduling an appointment was a breeze with the help of Emily, the Office Manager. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeting by Emily with a bright smile that made my day. She checked me in quickly, and within ten minutes my car was up on a lift. Their technician Nick was quick and efficient. The office is very modern, and clean. It was very comfortable, and makes other shops look like car torture chambers! The owner Zach, is the most passionate Master Technician that I've ever met. His no-malarkey talk of German Cars and Service is top notch. He even knew of a Volvo part that is the same part that is unavailable through VW - the Haldex Filter. Any other shop in town would have left the old filter in the rear AWD system, because VW doesn't want to service it. I know enough about cars to be dangerous - but the team at Auto Boutique Chicago know what they are doing and have the right technology to perform advanced services on any German Car - VW, Audi. I have a German diesel car and finding a quality mechanic with experience who is honest is an overwhelming task! I am so thankful that Zak is around to help and do what is best for my car while not charging an obscene amount. I have been through 2 different dealerships who tried to take advantage of me and I'm thankful I don't have to go back. For car people, one of the dealerships scheduled my maintenance appointment, including having my spark plugs changed! (For non-car people, diesel cars don't have spark plugs.) I drive quite a distance to go to Auto Boutique Chicago, but it is worth every mile!! I trust Zak completely which is not something I thought I'd ever say about a mechanic. On 6/8/16 i came to this location for a detail and ended up leaving with a second car. My car was covered in thick sap bumper to bumper including the windshield. I went and got a normal car wash but nothing came off. I came to this place for a full detail inside and out and while waiting in the waiting room drinking coffee which was provided i decided to look around at cars. I fell in love with this white Audi Q5 and asked the gentleman i believe his name was Zack for some help as i wanted more information on the car. He was so helpful and did not take advantage of me as i do not know much about cars and my husband was at work so it was just me. Not only was the detail amazing and all Sap was removed from the car but the inside looked great as well. I left with an extremely well detailed car and an Audi Q5 which my husband later that day came with me to pick up. These guys know european cars better than the dealership! Zak was one of the best guys at Audi, now I'm fortunate enough to be able to bring my B5 S4 Biturbo for the skillful service you'd expect from the dealership, without the price. I tried troubleshooting a check engine light myself, to no avail. Had one of my neighborhood shops look at it, they did a bunch of "repairs" to the tune of $600 only for the light to return. Got to the point where I had conceded to just live with it, until I met Zak. A quick look and he found the issue causing the fault for the check engine light was actually related to a totally different system, and just sort of triggering the other fault by domino effect. Ended up replacing a valve which costs about $100 and he charged me $130 for the labor for diagnosis and installation. Wish I would've known about him sooner! Fortunately I now have a "guy" for my Audi. Zak's the boss when it comes to these cars. No lie. read more

I was there a month ago, I brought my car just to see why there is a noise under the hood. They charged me 100$ just for an inspection which made me wait for 3 hours!!! So finally this manager or owner whoever went out his office with a piece of paper trying to commit me and convince me to make some repairs in his shop for about 2000$!!! I understood what their point is, they try to stole your money from your pocket before you leave their "Boutique". So I was asking him to explain what the problem with my car, and The problem that I came there initially with, he seemed like he forgot why I came there. Do not try to sell me something that I did not come there for!!! I finally understood that they just needed to tighten there smth related with the strut , and for this also they tried to charge 100$ , but I said No!!! I have already paid 100$ for almost for nothing!!! So people just be warned, this was my worst auto service experience!!! read more

I met Zak, the owner, roughly one year ago when i came out of my bank to find my car with a flat tire :/ He happened to be passing by and noticed the damsel in distress (me). He pulled over and changed my tire and we chatted the whole time. When he was done I asked what I owed him and he said not to worry about it! Score! I promised if I ever needed anything for my car he would be my guy. Over the last year I have brought my car to him for numerous things and he has always been very accommodating and super thorough explaining everything to me. I also met the rest of his staff and they are equally as fabulous. I used to be very apprehensive of mechanics. I feel like it's similar to finding a good hair stylist- once you find one you trust you NEVER leave. In time my 11 year old car will inevitably kick the bucket and when she does, I'll be sure to scoop up a sweet ride from Auto Boutique. Kudos, guys! read more

I have been bringing my Audi here for service since they opened and I am surprised that I am just now writing this review! Zak (the owner) is one of the most honest and straight forward guys I have ever met. Originally, when I brought it in I had just gotten a quote from the dealership which seemed high, so I decided to shop it. I called Auto Boutique since I work in the neighborhood and am glad I did! The prices Zak quotes are ALWAYS fair and I feel confident knowing that these guys wouldn't think of letting my car leave the lot unless the work was 100%. Everyone that works at Auto Boutique Chicago is pleasant and always accommodating. I never have an issue getting an appointment scheduled or getting my car completed within a reasonable amount of time. Great shop not because of anything but simply the knowledge of technicians they have employed. I own a 7 series BMW and also an all wheel drive 3 series. I was experiencing so many problems with 7 series (after 150 k miles) and extremely rough driving that I was bit in a pickle. The other shops had given me budget ranging from 5k - 8k including BMW dealer. Auto Boutique was accidentally discovered by me since they specialized in European cars..I took a chance with them and they solved all the immediate problems at extremely reasonable price. Just bought my 2010 Audi s4 this past Friday and it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. The customer service and knowledge of the general manager Zach was unbelievable. There was not one question that I had that wasn't answered to the fullest. I bought an Audi A4 from Zak. I love the car and can't beat the service. I'm a mechanical engineer and I usually do my own car repairs. I find working on cars fun except when I have to. Auto Boutique is my favorite car repair spot. They fixed my janky BMW 328i by replacing the rear breaks (regular maintenance) and ignition coils (a common problem in 2005 and later BMWs that causes misfiring), which fixed all my problems. No more janky car!! Thank you Auto Boutique! Hopefully I don't have to come in too often (due to more car problems), but if I do, I will come to Auto Boutique Chicago without question. Zak, the owner, and the mechanics at Auto Boutique really know what they are doing. I took my Jeep in a couple weeks ago. They got it back to me in one day and it has never run better.
