We purchased a Jetta with the understanding that the drivers seat would be replaced due to a faulty heated seat. It took awhile for them to acquire another seat for us and although it was at times difficult to get a call back, they did eventually stand by their word. Wow, great experience! Don't let the google street view or images fool you! It is small, but well worth it! Great group of sales associates! Plus, they are a credit union dealer-direct dealership too! Since we live in Gig Harbor, we called on Thursday 11/5/15 trying to get the ball rolling before making the trek across the sound to this dealership. Spoke with Jim who was very honest about their dealership not working with a lot of trucks and recommended I called NWMS to get an appraisal of my truck first. So I did that and spoke with a buyer there and gave all the info regarding my truck. After I was done, he said he would call Jim and go from there. So I didn't hear back Thursday evening (was close to end of business day anyways, was expected). So I decided I was going to go Friday to give it a shot. I got there on Friday and was met by Janna who I worked with all Friday. Took it on a test drive and it went smooth. Crawled under the vehicle (04 Toyota 4Runner) and checked it out as well as under the hood and it was looking good and running well. She also provided me with the CarFax of the vehicle as well as repairs/inspections made by one of their mechanics that week as well. She did the inspection on my truck and we went from there. Janna then got on the phone with NWMS to check up on the appraisal and he gave her a number to work with/start with. The process on Friday did take all day, but it was because we were back and forth with NWMS and the credit union. Getting approved was no issue for us, it was just the amount we had gotten approval for, was about $2k less than expected. Janna, Jim, and John really worked hard for us and we had to go back up on Saturday (because the credit union was closed before we had a set agreement). On Saturday, we worked with John and he got everything all figured out and the final paper work started! We were so thankful for all their hard work and continuing to work hard for us to get the vehicle we really had our heart set on! At the end of the process on Saturday, John even put $30 in gas in our new (to us) 4Runner! Thanks a ton Janna, John, and Jim for such a great experience! read more

I was constantly undervalued by the sales men and when i went to the Porsche Dealer, they told me to come back with my father. I visited Seattle to help my daughter with a big move, which included selling her car. We sold her Honda Fit to Auto Connections after they agreed to buy it for more money than both Honda and CarMax quoted. The whole experience was easy and pleasant. We drove in without an appointment and were lucky that Jenna was available to talk with us right away. She looked over the car, took it for a test drive, asked us questions and pulled up the car's history on the computer. She was super nice and fast! We told Jenna what Honda had offered us, we talked about what we wanted for the car, she checked with Jim, the owner, and we struck a deal. They even let us drive the car for an extra day after we sold it to them, and then Jim picked it up from my daughter's home the next evening, because he lives in the same neighborhood and said it wouldn't be a problem... I'm particular about cars, and was looking for an Acura wagon in a particular color with low miles. Auto Connections had one advertised at an excellent price, but I was reluctant because I live in So Cal and logistically couldn't see it in person. I started working with Janna, who went above and beyond to answer all of my (many, many) questions, requests for photos, copies of mechanic reports, etc before making the trip to purchase it. I was interested in a 2002 Saab and tried to do the right thing by asking if a Safety Mechanical Inspection had been done. I was told by my sales lady Jann that all their vehicles had this completed. When I asked to see a copy I was told Jim the owner had those reports and then later emailed that there was no report available. I decided to drive the car anyway since no matter which vehicle I choice it was going to my mechanic for inspection. I test drove the car taking it from Seattle to the east side with no issues. I asked if my mechanic could complete his inspection the following Monday of which the dealership had no problem. I picked the car up 2 days later and upon my drive home decided to take it to Snoqualmie Falls. My mechanic told me most people drive their potential purchase around the block before making their decision and all used vehicles should be driven for a distance on the highway; he runs his tests from Kirkland to Marysville looking for issues and then also puts it on a computer. So I saw no issue with running the car to Snoqualmie Falls. Well getting there was no issue, but when I got back into the car upon start up an engine light problem showed. I called Jim the owner to ask him what he wanted me to do with his vehicle since I was not the owner. He asked if the car was over heating? I informed it was not and he told me to drive the car and call him if there was any other issues. He was not happy that I had driven the car to Snoqualmie Falls and again I asked him if there had been an inspection completed and he said yes and I felt he really meant how dare I ask this question even though I knew he did not....what a lair and he owns the business. I felt if you trusted me with the vehicle I had a right to test drive the vehicle I was going to purchase and was glad I had done so. When I got back home I immediately drove it to the mechanic for his early am inspection the next day. It took my mechanic less than 1.5 hours to call me and inform me of the condition of this vehicle. The front tire on the inside rim had a big bulge and he was surprise that a dealership would give me a vehicle in this condition. The rotors and brakes were bad. There was an oil leak behind the starter (which may explain why sometimes the car would not turn over), the car had a turbo which was not kicking in when going on a climb. The mechanic stopped after this and called me to say "this is not the car for you" and he hadn't even gotten to the transmission inspection. I was surprised to hear all the issues but most upsetting that I was allowed to drive their vehicle with those tires on it...putting my passengers and mine safety at risk. I refused to drive the car back to the dealership leaving it up to them to get their car back. When you are looking for a used car these are things you would expect from a private party never did I expect this from a dealership. Because of this experience I'm continuing to look for a reliable dealership and car. I now have this experience to know what to ask for and if a dealership has no Safety Inspection Report walk away....better yet run. I write this review because I would want to know the dealings with this dealership and hopefully it helps anothers. So I caution those that drive a car off this lot. It may look pretty but how does the dealership feel about your safety and the type of car they are selling you. Buyer be ware when looking here!! read more

Definately a nice crew of guys, but the quality of the automobiles they sell is much to be desired. We bought a used Jeep here less than a year ago, it was a 2002 with 112k miles. It started burning oil, and now less than a year later and only 8k miles more a bearing is blown and essentially a new engine is needed. The Jeep mechanic stated that looking at the underside of the hood there was signs of antifreeze spray, he suspected that the car had a signficant overheat before we bought the car, thus causing the downward spiral of what is now an $8k pile of really pretty looking metal in our driveway. Make sure you take you take any cars here to a mechanic first! read more

I got a strange feeling about this dealership before I even went down there in person. About six months ago, I saw a nice-looking used Scion they had listed on one of the local automotive dealer Web pages. It might have been their own actual Webpage, I don't remember. This page cleverly omitted their actual location or hours, so I was forced to call them for more info in advance. I called about 8::30 in the evening and virtually the first thing the saleslady said was something like, "Oh god, you're not coming *now*, are you? Even though she did use a partially humorous tone I still thought it was a pretty weird way to talk to someone who is interested in doing business with you. After we got that straightened out and had discussed the vehicle a little, I asked her when they were open in the morning. Instead of just telling me, she acted like she was giving out some kind of secret information and kind of fumbled around the issue, finally stating, "Well, there should be someone there around 10:30." Based on her initial comment and her evasive manner overall, I decided that these were not people I wanted to do business with. If they're going to be coy and withholding even about their business hours, what else will they withhold from me? Never did go down there. I ended up buying a nice used car at another dealer a few days later. read more

I purchased the vehicle of my dreams from Auto Connection (VW Golf TDI). This was the first vehicle purchase I'd done solo. Plus I was doing this after a terrible car crash. I worked with Janna. I also met several of the other folks there too, including the owner. The dynamic between all of them was great. They teased one another but in a way that reminded me of siblings. Janna was warm and caring throughout the whole process. She was also patient. I went into this purchase with a lot of apprehension. I had a long list of things to look at on the vehicle and try during the test drive. I was also relieved to do the test drive solo. Because of the collision I was in I didn't want any distractions while I was driving plus I had a route planned to try all the maneuvers I wanted. The paperwork was done quickly and everything went to and from my credit union without any problems. It has now been several months. The car is still working excellently. "To make a long story short, this was the best car buying experience I have ever had". I had planned on spending twice the amount I paid, Auto Connections found me a vehicle for half that amount which perfectly fit my needs. I Love my new/older car ! Auto Connections was honest, professional and timely. Thank You, Auto Connections! The long story, first I need to apologize for not writing my review sooner. In April, I started looking for a newer Mercedes than my current driver. I searched the internet for several weeks and stumbled across 2 cars @ Auto Connections that interested me. I arrived near closing on a dark, rainy Saturday and I thought I would take a quick peek through the fence when John (Salesman) popped his head out of the office with a loud greeting "hello". I introduced myself and mentioned the 2 vehicles from the internet. John smiled and said "you should look at this car, it's the same year as the one you are driving". I said no, it's actually older than the one I'm driving and chuckled. I told John I was looking for something newer. So I quickly looked over the 2 vehicles (starting to rain hard) and was very interested to come back when it was dry (daylight) to test drive the vehicles. Before you go, John persisted "you need to take a look at the Mercedes like yours". I said okay, we walked over to a beautiful blue 1989 300E Mercedes that looked like brand new (25 years old). I quickly open the door to get out of the rain and popped my head back out in disbelief "this can't be real"? 56,000 miles? John responded "yes" and went on to tell me how the vehicle was acquired. I was now interested in 3 vehicles so, I said I would be back to test drive them in the next day or so and left. Well, I didn't make it back for a week (out of town) and couldn't get the pristine blue Mercedes out of my head. That Saturday, I was driving home with my wife, I said we need to stop by and see if the car I was telling you about was still for sale. We parked out front and the car was no longer visible in the lot :( I was actually sad. John stepped out of the office with loud "hello", welcome back! I said oh.... you sold the 300E? John quickly replied "nope, I didn't have any room on the lot", "It's around the corner" and tossed me the keys. My wife and I looked the car over and hopped in. We looked at each other and laughed, the car was detailed to perfection! It looked like brand new! We could not believe the overall condition of a 25 year old car, wow! I drove around for 10-15 min and returned to the lot. John asked "what did you think"? We loved it! I made him aware of 3 minor issues and he said he would take care of them, I said we'll take it! 2 days later, John called and said your car is ready! Love My New Car! I purchased a 1997 Subaru Legacy wagon from Auto Connections in October, 2015. The car is in great shape and was well maintained by its only owner, and I bought the car for a fair price after having it thoroughly inspected by my own mechanic, whom I heartily recommend (Jim at Karchek - look him up). The car needed a front brake job, which is reasonable in a car with over 150K miles. After several weeks of pain, looking for a new (to me) car I could afford, it is a joy and relief that every time I turn the key, the car starts reliably. After I paid cash for the car, I promised Auto Connections I'd write a review, so they had no idea I would do this until I was ready to drive off. I'm also cautious. I waited almost 2 months and 3000 miles before writing the review, to see if something bad would happen, but this car has only been good news. Auto Connections treated me professionally and courteously. They made no inflated claims for the car and did not indulge in pressure tactics. I expressed interest in the car, I came by to test-drive it, and in a day or two I had my mechanic come by and check it out, all with no problems. Of course I checked out the dealer first at Better Business Bureau and on Yelp, so now I am doing my part to encourage good business practices by writing this review! read more

seeing the word "integrity" in the other reviews makes me wonder if i was dealing with the same people. i found jim to be at first nice, easy-going, and reasonable but when i began to have problems with the deal we struck he was nowhere to be found, not returning phone calls, texts or emails. i think that doing business with him would be very unwise.
