I just left this shop. I am leaving on a long road trip in to very warm weather and just yesterday my A/C button started flashing. I called this shop this morning and explained the situation. I had two cars that needed air conditioning recharging - a Ford Excursion / and a Jaguar XK. I searched for a reliable shop (I always research reviews these days) and Auto Electric and Air Conditioning seemed like the best bet. I called the shop, the owner Majid told me I could come in right away (no wait / no appointment) - I did, and 30 minutes later, my Excursion air conditioning is like new! Ice cold! And the price was very reasonable, based on comparisons I got from the internet. I brought in my Jaguar XK the next day - same thing! Fast service, reasonable price! Majid also noticed that the shocks that hold up the hood of the cars both needed to be replaced (neither worked / I knew that / just hadn't taken time to get them fixed). He called, on the spot, got me a price to replace both of them, it was VERY reasonable (much less than I expected), he ordered the parts and they will replace those as soon as the parts come in. I took my Ford here base on the reviews. I've had ongoing A issues since I bought it. I was happy to hear there was a 1 year warranty on the work. His price to repair was awesome. Well, for literally the entire year we would take it in, it would work for a while, then we'd take it back, then it'd work for a while then we'd take it back...5 times in 1 year. Every time he fixed it again, he'd give us a different reason why it stopped working. The last time we took it in was about 1 week before the warranty expired and of course he fixed it...worked for a couple of months, now we are back to square one. No AC and the summer is coming. Prior to bringing the car to Executive, it had been looked at by three other auto repair shops over the past 2 years. The electrical problems the car had were never been properly diagnosed or completely fixed. Other shops made some repairs, but small remnants of the car's electrical problems continued to persist - not enough to cause us to give up the car for an entire day, but enough to be annoying. However, Executive diagnosed and correctly resolved the entire problem and even did a few extra things we didn't even ask for (at no charge). In less than 2 hours all problems were completely fixed. I've been here twice. The first time was great. I brought my car in for a/c service. They got to me right away, charged the a/c and I was on my way in less than an hour. The price seemed ok, $75, I was happy. The second time , not so great. I needed a new blower motor for the a/c, he ordered the part, I came back the next day. This time, the part seemed way overpriced...double the average cost! He explained it away with, "It's better part," and "it's 2 year warranty." Ok...(we've all been in that situation, do you leave and go through the hassle of finding a new shop and starting the whole process over, or do you just pay it and bury the pain deep inside? I buried it.) With labor, $222. That doesn't seem like a lot, but the labor took 30 minutes and it was just unscrewing and screwing screws. I watched them do it. Super simple. Hopefully, "part is better." Overall, I think this place is a crap shoot. I think if it's an easy fix, they'll get you in and out quickly, at a good price. If you need parts, or if it's a big problem, you're going to pay! A lot! My advice, shop around. Good luck. read more

I wanted to share my excellent experience at Auto Electric & AC. I went in because the air conditioning in my 2011 Honda Pilot gradually stopped working over a period of 4 days. I called ahead to see if they do coolant service. He said come on over and we can do right away. I showed up the next and true to his word he added the coolant right away for a reasonable price. Story of my life as that wasn't the issue. Nothing is ever easy for me. Instead of looking at the big stuff he went small and identified a fuse block that he replaced for $15 extra and now the AC works great. Basically my wife wants a new car so the way I look at it he saved me $30K! Thanks for the awesome and HONEST service. I hope others read this and give you their business. read more

Magid took a look at our 2000 Odyssey AC when I drove up. AC has slowly lost its cooling ability so we assume a small leak has developed. He performed a leak down test which was negative then recharged the system and ran it for a while. No leaks were found and AC was working again. Well keep an eye on things and see if leaks develop. read more

Recently went here to get my a/c unit on my car checked out. I had already taken it somewhere else and paid $65.00 for a diagnostic check to be done and found out my car supposedly needs a new compressor. I was quoted approx. $650.00 total for everything , (parts & labor),out the door. I brought my car here next simply to get a 2nd opinion because I still had a gut feeling my car maybe just needed the a/c to be recharged with some new freon added. The a/c has full power working fine but the air never really gets very cold. It's somewhat cool when you first turn it on and after a while it blows warm for the most part. Anyhow, I arrived at this place at 6:50 am on a Tuesday morning and even though the place is suppose to open up for business at 7:00 am, I had to wait until 7:15 am which is when the owner Majid finally showed up. We instantly greeted each other since I was his first and only customer so far. I explained to him what I had come in for and he had me pull my car into his garage. and then asked me to pop open the hood. Not to make this story any longer, he proceeded to get some kind of a machine hooked up underneath the hood. I was good with this but questioned why he never got into the car to turn on the a/c to see if maybe he could figure out the problem that way. Normally if you're going to charge the customer a fee for any kind of service, you need their permission first after disclosing how much the fee will be, right? Well that didn't happen here. Before you knew it, he told me I need a new compressor for $1200.00 and owed him $75.00 for what he did with his machine. His estimate was twice as much as the quote I got at the other place! Then after I paid him for the bill I wasn't even expecting, (I simply thought it would be a gesture of good will with no fee involved) because what he did required only about 15 minutes, I asked him for a receipt which he DID NOT provide me with. Maybe because I paid with cash and he didn't want this to go over the books. Boy, I sure had him figured out all wrong. I would never go back to this guy and surely would not recommend him to anyone!!! Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but to this guy. read more

So, during the recent heat wave, the air conditioning on my GMC went kaput. I called and spoke to the owner the following morning, and he told me to bring it in. I arrived about 10:30 am; he came out and had me pull it into a bay. Ten minutes later he came in and explained that a valve had gone bad and showed me the part. It had allowed the coolant to escape. He quoted me a very reasonable price. Twenty minutes later he came in, finished, I paid, and was on my way. I pulled out at 11:10 with ice cold air conditioning and no complaints. Highly recommend Majid and team for electrical and A/C work. He has been in business since 1989, which says something right there. We have an older Lexus LS that had A/C trouble. Our regular (very good) mechanics could not figure it out after two attempts. The Lexus dealership could not fix it. Finally our regular mechanics recommended Majid. Originally Majid was thinking it was going to be a big job (replaced evaporator and expansion valve) but when he started work, he located a small, hard to find leak in the system. Leak fixed, system pressurized, and everything works perfectly. Total cost 1/10th of the original estimate. Now he COULD have done the bigger job and charged us a lot of money and we would have been none the wiser. However we greatly appreciate his honesty and integrity. I brought my cherished 1990 Buick Reatta convertible into Auto Electric and Air Conditioning after several electronic components failed and two other shops either didn't know where to begin or tested the car and told me to leave it and I may have it back in a month or so, fixed or not fixed. Auto Electric and Air Conditioning figured out the power trunk and tonneau switche issues, power antenna, keyless entry and other difficult problems and got car back to perfect in short order. This was amazing because there are little service instructions available and with less than 3,000 of these convertibles made, most mechanics who have worked on them are retired by now. I went to this shop a month ago to have my 2013 Honda CR-V A/C checked. The problem is very weird. The AC does not blow cold air on the driver side but cold on the passenger side. Makid checked my Car and he said its only freon. He said that the compressor is still working perfectly. So he charged my system with Freon and I only paid him $75.00, sounds like a happy ending? After a day the same problem came back, Majid rechecked my AC and this time he said that I need a new compressor. He quoted me $1150.00 parts and labor. I felt like he is not consistent with his findings. He just said the other day, that my compressor is perfectly fine. So I ended up bring my car to Honda, the problem wS only the expansion valve. I havenit replaced and I just paid $350.00. I believe that Majid was in good faith but probably his knowledge and tools were not enough to diagnose the problem on my car. I had previously brought it in to Imperio Nissan of Irvine and they charged me to diagnose it and then quoted me $1725.00 to replace the compressor and condenser. He did not find it necessary to replace either the compressor or condenser but instead found the real source of the problem and took care of it. It has been working great ever since.
