Lying and dishonest manager. I went in to purchase a simple oil filter price matched to a local store a quick and simple transaction. Price match was for $5 difference. Manager went to "check the price on his phone" but I guess he wasn't go enough at hiding because I could see him from the register, he immediately put his phone away and came back claiming he looked up the price and the match didn't exist. I politely asked him to show me. He reached for his phone instinctively but then refused and said again the price was $X. I again asked him to show me the price and he again lied and said it's $X. The manager did a fantastic job (I wish I could recall her name and employee!) with info over the phone about the product I was looking for; and she decided to stay once I arrived and her and the employee (she wanted him to learn a new task), did an amazing job by replacing my car key battery (since I had never done it before). Terrible! The young employee that "helped" just death glare me the whole interaction. He said how can I help as he is looking at the screen and it sounded like "I'll be with you", so I waited until he was ready. Then he looked at me like "Hello?!".  So, I told him I have a pickup and gave him my name. Then I asked if they have a regular screwdriver (yes, I know there are MANY different kinds). Instead of death glaring the customer or being rude a simple "yes, we do, what are you working on?" or "yes, we do, its at this aisle".  This employee felt like he HAD to be better or had to feel powerful? This was literally an all around insane experience. I walked in today at 12:45 and gave the worker my car make and model, letting him know I just needed to top my oil off. I purchase it and he follows me outside and says he'll do it for me. I- being a girly- was at first appreciative. Immediately red flags are going off when the worker can't figure out how to open my hood and doesn't know where to put the stick to hold it open..I get different cars are different but the hole was right in front of his face. Then he checks the oil level agrees it's low and proceeds to take the top off the oil thing to pour more. He puts the cap onto the uneven engine (??) and ofc it falls into the engine bay and gets stuck. He then puts his hand down into the hot car to grab it and definitely burned himself a little. At this point I'm just feeling bad for him. Then he starts pouring the oil and while doing so starts telling me about how he's super hungover blah blah and then starts vaping. I'm 25 so I honestly wasn't judging too hard until he fu*ked up. Because he was talking to me so much I wasn't looking closely and he closed my hood and kept talking until I said thanks bye. I drive home 15 MILES and my check engine light turns on and my car feels like it's breaking. I check and HE DIDN'T PUT THE OIL CAP BACK ON. Oil sprayed allllllll over my engine bay. Spent hours cleaning it and had to go buy 2 more bottles. Anyways my real problem is that when my dad called to inform the manager on what happened (and how the worker was behaving) and the manager tried to blame ME and started saying I said things I never did (important to note i never even asked for help!!). All I wanted was an acknowledgment that they messed up. Called the corporate office to inform them. Sorry I'm being a karen but I think i'm justified as the negligence could have seriously damaged my car and the lack of acknowledgment and trying to blame me was so blatantly rude, dishonest and sexist. read more

I came in with a recipe to return a charger that definitely has a short in it.the manager even tried it on one outlet and it didn't work and then tried it on another and it worked. It has worked fine for a few times but most of the time i used it it doesn't work. I payed 15$ not worth it and refused to refund I even offered to exchange for something else. Totally horrible service and respect for the customer service. I will now never go to AutoZone again! O'Reillys would never be that way! Wow, if you buy something with a debt card, basically immediately withdrawn from your checking account. If you need to return the item, they have to have the card, they cannot use the receipt nor will they give you cash back, even if a week has lapsed. Different situation, seems like you are on hold if you ever call about a part, and there's limited knowledge by staff. Seems like O'Reily's is a better option since Pep Boys closed. read more

I came to this location after my daughter called that her car is not running normally. I made a brief assessment and spoke to Michael, who was courteous instructed me to bring the car in if I could get it so they can check the battery if it is still (5 years old) sound, and if not, they will have the battery replacement. Jayden greeted us and assisted us by checking the battery, which he determined that it is terrible. Jayden provided some recommendations and provided the tools I need to change the battery. We were driving on the freeway and our battery went out and so did power steering, thankfully we were able to make it to this autozone. Rafael helped out my husband, he was super accommodating and helped my husband by lending him tools and after figuring out how to fix it/what went wrong, my husband got the parts he needed and Rafael was on top of it by getting them for us. I went to auto zone this morning and had by far some of the best customer service I've ever had at any auto part store. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted by the manager Ueirl. I only went in the store to get windshield wiper blades which Ueirl helped me with. Right after getting the part the store ended up getting a bit busy and so did Ueirl so another employee there named Holly started helping me. She was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful , and super friendly. I've been having many issues with my twenty year old car and had many questions that Holly had no problem explaining and answering. She also helped hook up machine to read what could be going on with the engine which was really cool of her. Also had her check all my fluids and after that she finished by cleaning and polishing my yellow headlights. Went to Auto Zone on Muirlands. Sold us a battery with the promise to install this battery. We paid for it and then was told they couldn't install it because a city ordinance prohibits repairs and maintenance in the parking lot so we couldn't get the battery installed. How do you run an auto parts store and not be able to install a battery. This kid sends us to the other location in Mission Viejo off of Los Alisos and they refuse to install it despite the Muirlands location assuring us that they would. Very bad business at both locations. Will never use them again. Afterwards using my gas and time for over an hour went to Reilly's Auto Parts nearby and they installed the battery in five minutes even though they were busy. I am reviewing the store mainly to my interaction with the employee Holly. She was so kind and helpful in helping me find what I needed. Because of her, my 01 Camry Solara will keep running. Thanks Holly! :D Besides that, the store feels super small and cramped. Sometimes, there is only one person at the front of the store and it can take time to check out. The store looks a bit dated as well, need to revamp and bring the store appearance up to date. I stopped at the AutoZone on 24361 Muirlands in Lake Forest. The place was nice and clean. The cashier was very friendly and, helped me find the proper wiper blares. I bought two, one gallon Prestone bug wash for Diana's car. two rain-x Quantum auto wiper blades One big mouth funnel to pour the bug was into the cars holding tank..
