I was charged a $100 diagnostic fee and took my car to Auto Clinique to get a second opinion. Once they got to my car, it took less than an hour to not only diagnosis but repair it and have it running again, all for $150. Saved me over $6,000! Update: I was able to obtain a refund for the diagnostic fee and they seemed willing to learn and improve.

Turns out it was the water pump, and it was throwing a code for the fan clutch, so he suggested I replace that as well - since it had to come off to get the new water pump in anyway. The new fan clutch was unbalanced and failed after driving for a day, ripping its own harness off, causing a short that prevented the vehicle from starting once I arrived home. I called and talked to Elite Performance, and they had my vehicle towed back in to repair it. They switched to another brand of fan clutch and replaced it at no charge. Stand-up guys! I will be taking it back to get the engine tuned soon.

Bimmers said my coolant pump did not need to be replaced and this saved me thousands and fixed the problem I had taken to Autoscope to fix for over a year!
