I would give zero stars if I could. This business tried to pull a fast one on us. For almost a year I didn't drive my 2018 Subaru Impreza because it had a "blown head gasket" that would cost us 9k for a new one and 7k for a used one. We didn't have the extra cash, but this was their diagnostic. Since then we have moved back to California where I had my car shipped to my uncle (who's a mechanic) and showed me (video proof) they intentionally tampered with our engine by mixing in fresh engine oil with our coolant. Wow? 14 years since my last update/review here? My Bad. My daily driver needed some good maintenance, all fluids, brake check, battery check, and overall look at from a professional. Plus I love their Shuttle service both to/from home or work within a short distance. Got a call that afternoon telling me my brakes were fine, just brake dust causing squealing. My battery was also fine (over 5 years old now). I might just replace the battery soon anyways. And the rest of the services were performed without issues. They did find some issues with the suspension, but after discussion, these were not needed "right now" and can keep driving while keeping an eye on it. Was it the cheapest place? NO. Was it the place for my ride? Yes. Oh yeah, they provided both video and photos of all of the services they were doing and areas needing attention. LOVE that!! I will be back soon. read more

Well after 5 years of getting my car serviced at Lexus/Toyota both in Washington state and Texas. I finally decided to to my local Christian Brothers in Plano. WOW-what an experience and why did I take so long in trusting my car with a dealership?! Christian Brothers lives up to their name! Truly, the waiting room is decorated lovely for Christmas. Bathrooms are clean, coffee and water are offered as you wait. Shuttle is also available to take you anywhere nearby. Customer service is honest, pleasant, and professional. I wasn't hard sold on premium products for my car or upgrades that weren't necessary. They addressed my issues of an oil change and air pressure in tires, lightly explained their warranty program since my car is out, and then followed up with a polite phone call afterwards to make sure I was happy! Yes, a phone call to see if I had any issues and to check on my experience!! Customer service is beyond my expectations because-these days nobody calls you for follow up. My experience with Plano Toyota dealership has been far forgotten. My Truck needed a water pump and I took it to Christian Brothers. They replaced the radiator and not the water pump. I proceeded to show them the errors of their ways and they ended up replacing the water pump for the cost of parts. A few weeks later, it was leaking water. I took it to a Toyota mechanic and he informed me that my Truck had been taken apart and not put back together correctly. He also stated they should have asked if I wanted to replace my timing belt. I ended up having to get another new water pump and a new radiator shroud because the shroud wasn't bolted back correctly and the water pump wasn't installed correctly. I would avoid this place at all cost. Absolutely terrible. $3000 later and it was worse than when I took it in there!! read more

They were able to work on my car quickly (no long wait times to get in for service!), and had the repairs done within 2 days of my signing off on repairs. Really clear communication from the team throughout the entire process. The icing on the cake may have been the warm cookie when I picked up my car, or the fact that when they brought the car around front they saw my key battery was low and just replaced it for me! The straw that broke the camel's back for me was that I had $2500 worth of issues with my car. I paid them to fix it. Exactly ONE YEAR AND TWO DAYS after the day I had the work done, my car had the exact same problem. Because it was two days out of warranty, they wouldn't honor the previous work. They wanted an additional $2500 to fix the issue again. That was my last time going there. (Of course I took my business elsewhere that day) Here's the other rub... They really, really, REALLY irritate me with the fact that you drop it off for one problem and they need to call you about additional things they found. They're one step below going to a dealership for service. By that, I mean they're not as expensive as a dealership, but more expensive than most mechanic shops in the area. With that said, they're the next best thing to bringing your car to a reliable dealership. It really kills me how they always find additional things wrong with your car. I get it... they're being thorough. But if it's not directly affecting the immediate issue, then stay focused on the immediate issue. I'll take the additional observations under advisement, but know that it really puts a bad taste in my mouth when the job at hand is already expensive. MY ADVICE: Use them to your advantage. Let them find out what is wrong (they WILL charge you). Let them tell you EVERYYYYYTHING wrong with the car. Then take it to a cheaper mechanic that you know will fix those particular things correctly. Or just go to a cheaper, reliable mechanic. My other suggestion is simply buy an extended warranty for your car. read more

Finally, Finally, FINALLY - Someone I can trust with EVERYTHING!! I know that this sounds cliché' but I want to let any of you reading this know emphatically that there is an automotive repair facility that truly cares and performs top notch work and that is Christian Brothers Automotive on 5800 K Avenue in Plano Texas. I have spent better than 12 years going back and forth with local auto shops and repair facilities only to be taken advantage of over and over and over again. There have been multiple times where I've been overcharged as much as $700-$800 over for work that was not done, items that were replaced without the need to replace them and have actually driven away only to find another issue hours later. UGH...I have done my due diligence and fought the good fight, but I am done searching. This week I went into Christian Brothers automotive, and this was the ABSOLUTE BEST decision that I have made in a LONG SAD HISTORY of BAD decisions. As I walked in, I was immediately confronted with professionalism, kindness, compassion and an overall dedication to safety. I spoke with Dustin initially to coordinate everything and he was so thorough. He is Awesome! You see, when your car is safe, you are safe and the people around you are safe. That matters a LOT to me. I don't say this lightly, but I truly feel like this corporation cares about the community. These folks are honest, capable, courteous, and professional. One example - last Spring my car developed a strange problem with the air conditioning. It would go on, run for a minute, then shut down. I brought it to Christian Brothers in Plano for diagnosis/repair. They worked on the car (a '98 Mercedes) for 4 days, but couldn't find the cause.
